Selling on behalf of my client -

This vehicle was purchased brand new - papers available.
My client rarely drives it and she finds now that she really did not need a 3rd car, and so is motivated to sell.
This vehicle has less than 10,000km on it, but was in a small fender bender at the Palms Shopping Center recently (see pics).
Otherwise, vehicle is pristine - come see for yourself. Bring your Mercedes specialist.

Always garaged (awning), and always covered! No paint chips, PRISTINE!

If you are interested, please send me email or ring me for a viewing, then make us an offer.

PoliticsRe: Disband The Nigerian Police Force! by infolpf(op): 6:10pm On Oct 24, 2011
^^
LOL. However, the recent revolutions owe their success to people outside the country, citizens and interested watchers! We as a people can and MUST demand a change! If we do not speak up in one united voice, how do we stop all the murders of innocent citizens by policemen who seem to have lost their minds? We have asked for accountability, in futility. The murders continue, with impunity, the harassment continues, and NOBODY is held accountable! When does it all end?
PoliticsDisband The Nigerian Police Force! by infolpf(op): 10:02pm On Oct 23, 2011
Is there any question in anyone's mind that the current crop of "police officers" are not re-trainable? Are so deeply mired in corruption, mediocrity, idiocy, and trigger happiness that they cannot be debriefed? IMHO, The only way to get a police force that actually SERVES the people is to disband the entire force top to bottom, and start from scratch - a newly recruited, newly trained force. Any of our "Western" partners would no doubt help recruit and train. The question is can we put our pride and arrogance long enough to ask for help? The US did it in Iraq in record time, and they now have a crack force.

I am a proud citizen of Nigeria. I do not feel safe in my country. I feel even more unsafe when I see police officers. I have totally lost faith in the Nigerian Police Force.

Car TalkRe: Why Do Most Nigerians Use Exotic Cars Yet Live In Poor Or Rented Houses? by infolpf: 3:32pm On Oct 10, 2011
@ OP,
Interesting question. I have a great example -
there is a gentleman (I presume) @ a UPDC mass housing estate in Victoria Island who has a spanking new Roll Royce Phantom, amongst other "exotic" cars, in the parking lot of his cluster. I presume this to be one of many cars because it is always parked, moves to be washed, and then back to its regular spot under the sun, in an uncovered parking spot. There is usually a G55 parked alongside it.

Now let me drink this oga's panadol for a minute as I analyze -
Rent at estate - N3M maximum per annum.
Purchase price - N50M max for a 4 bedroom (Assuming he owns rather than rents)
Purchase price of a phantom - N75M ($380,000 - $450,000)

In the final analysis it all comes down to priorities, doesn't it? Perhaps he has a passion for Rollers, or perhaps wants to be a roller. Perhaps it was a gift. Perhaps he does it simply because he can. No matter the answer, it is his call! All the same, I look at the Roller in the parking lot of this mass housing estate everyday as I drive by like a peasant relative, and I simply smile and shake my head.
BusinessComments, Advice Needed - Wholesale Paper Palaver by infolpf(op): 12:09am On Sep 29, 2011
Problem:
We have a warehouse full of GREAT quality, top bond printer / copy paper from the USA.
Brands like Xerox, HP etc. Over 1000 reams. In typical American 8.5 x 11 size.

Reality:
Nigeria uses A4 paper.
Side by side, There is VERY little difference in size between A4 and 8.5 x 11 inches. Infact, A4 is precisely 8.3 x 11.7 inches. So really we are talking .3 inches off in width, and .7 inches off in length!
Everyone loves the paper when they see it (most other paper available is cheap, flimsy China paper), but immediately say " Ah but na A4 we dey use". We suspect that they use this as a means of getting it dirt cheap, since they usually proceed to try to negotiate anyway! Printers love it, and have been our biggest purchasers so far, but we want someone who can clear the whole lot!

Suggestions Requested:
Need your help marketing and selling this product to the right customer.
Questions-who would you suggest we target, and how / where do we find them?
Is there someone in the house interested in earning a commission from this sale by bringing the right buyer?

NB - My Ibo brothers at the market can be left out because we have not succeeded in holding any reasonable discussions with them. There is apparently a paper mafia, and they are very beholden to the structure.

Looking forward to responses especially from those knowledgeable about the industry.

AutosLooking To Share A 40' Container From Savannah, Ga - Cars Only Pls by infolpf(op): 1:59am On Aug 09, 2011
Have 2 spots open -

Have a 2007 Nissan Quest, set to leave for Savannah on the 19th of august. Don't want RORO because I have a few items on the van, cant run the risk of wharf rats damaging my vehicle. Ran the numbers, and it is more cost efficient, not to mention safer, to ship in a container and share the charges. So, we are shipping 4 vehicles in a 40 footer. One time charge includes shipping and clearing, with delivery to your door in Lagos environs.

RORO (Average Vehicle) -
$1300 - $1500 shipping
$2700 - $3500 clearing
Downside -
Potential damage / loss
Can't load items safely in car

Sharing My Container (Average Vehicle):
One time fee shipping and clearing- $4500
delivery to your doorstep - included
Insurance - included
Can load other items in your vehicle (NO banned items please, and NO commercial quantities either!)
Downside -
Quite possibly only to me - having to deal with knuckle heads who will harass me and call me a fraud everyday until the car arrives at their doorstep, and even then accuse me of tampering with their vehicles!!!

Have only 2 spots open, so speak up or forever hold your peace!

Car TalkRe: My Brother Sold My Car With The Original Documents Without My Consent by infolpf: 12:32am On Jun 15, 2011
Depends on the circumstances -
Was the car in your name, did your brother have your authority to sell, did he convert the vehicle to his own usehuh
Nonetheless, the short answer to your question is No, YOU cannot go after the buyer. The long answer however, is that based on the circumstances, it could become a police matter. You could report the car stolen to the police, and lead them to this "buyer". It is just as much an offence to receive stolen property as is it to steal or convert.

PoliticsRe: Ogun Assembly Nullifies Sale Of Gateway Hotels by infolpf: 1:34pm On Jun 03, 2011
Note that the hotels were concessioned, not sold. Big difference. In a concession deal, the State retains an equity interest, and therefore gets a share of profits or revenue (depending on the contract). The said market value of N1.2 is relevant, but CANNOT feasibly be the concession price. The concession price would generally be a small percentage of the market value.

IMHO, the original deal was more than fair. The concessionaires have taken on the risk of a dilapidated, badly managed, and non-profitable asset. They will take on the risk and cost of massive renovations and managing this asset. The leaders of this move at the Ogun State Assembly may be motivated by more than just "the development of the people".
