naptu2: I was shocked when I discovered that some people believe that the word Nord came from Ford. That's a shocking level of ignorance. It meant that they do not know that the word Nord has existed for more than a millenia (long before the Ford Motor Company was dreamt of) and that it means North. There have been very many companies that have had the name Nord.
Here are some of Nord's vehicles.
1) Nord A3 sedan.
2) Nord A5 SUV
3) Nord Tank pickup truck
4) Nord Max pickup truck
Pictures are from Nord's website. https://nordmotion.com/vehicles/ / Who cares? When they have Nollywood vs Hollywood, it is hardpress to expect people not to believe that it is the same copycat just like fake accents. Ford is a global brand and the people at Nord are ignorant to use "Nord". Most people do not have the time nor interest to start digging their history. It is a Ford knock off just like a fake Rolex. They should have known better. I apologize for asking Nigerians to think. It is an impossible task. For the fact that it has to be explained says it all. / |

CuteMercury: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, so by next year or next two years, it is now 100% certain that i will leave for the United States of America.
Though i am educated but what i have come to understand is that in our world today, most especially in the United States of America, learning a skill is very Very important and you can can never go broke or jobless if you have certain skills in the United States of America.
So i want to use the rest of this year to acquire a skill that will be of great help to me when i get to America.
So i have decided to learn interior home and office designing and decorating.
I want to ask if acquiring a skill of interior design is the best for me or what are the top skills you think i can acquire or someone can acquire before travelling to the United States of America. / Interior designing and decoration is a waste of time and effort. Most people don't care that much especially considering that designs are already made and available at cheap prices. Pack your bags and go. Whatever you will need to survive will be learned in US. Even ordinary barbing we take for granted, you will need minimum 6 months school and a state license. Be ready to start from the bottom. If you are leaving this year, there may not be enough time to learn I.T By the way, you are one of a kind to put 100% certainty in a future occurrence. / |

KosiGee: When Arthur Eze speaks, not only does his speech problem manifest but the words and ideas that come out his mouth are appalling. He should keep the microphone away from himself. He has talent in making money and know how to humble people with it. He could dip his hands in his pockets and surprise you with an amount you’d never ever dream of but his cognition is faulty. Every time he talks, people shudder at his thought process. He has called Yoruba people ‘these Awolowo people’, faulted Igbos presidential aspirations and extolled Fulani/Hausa who gave him contract in the early 80s and now boasting about ‘installing’ three African presidents. The man has issues and should stop saying nonsense.
Look at some of the people associated with him...Tony Nwoye, a brilliant and a very hard working guy but this is someone who shouldn’t be coming near a microphone. Tony also has speech problems...he would pronounce shoe as choe, chuga for sugar. Like Arthur Eze, both men care more about their pockets than bringing change to the people.
Look at Austin Ndigwe, another misfit who can’t speak well but packs a lot of punches in ‘hustling’, a pathological liar, greedy, an exaggerated sense of his self worth. This fool would want people to stand up when he walk past them. Anuofia nmadu.
Like Arthur with his dysfunctional crew, like Eselu who was there during Mbadinuju era, another money miss road who boasts of governors and law makers he ‘installed’.
Arthur Eze should keep his mouth shut. He might have graduated from an American University...he walked through University but university didn’t walk through him. He remains a misfit with all his billions. / Don't forget that Eselu was a thug for Arthur Ezeh for years. Na Arthur's boy be that. / |

/ In UK, US and Canada, the church was registered as a corporate entity with an article of incorporation noting that it is a business with 501(c) denotation.
But in Nigeria, they claim to be churches out to (not save souls) but nail prosperity into the head of even the laziest fellow in the congregation.
Churches and mosques are profitable organizations and must be taxed. Oyedepo only fumes whenever money is involved.
There must be written, oral and practical exams before a church/mosque is registered. After the written and oral exams, the pastor/imam will be given a blind or deaf or dumb to reverse their situation. Those who can will get Tier-1 certificate. Those who cannot get Tier-2 and 3 certificates. Just like a business, the church/mosque must show its Tier level in all its communication. Unless the pastor/imam specifically agrees not to engage in peddling miracles (false advertisement). / |

EgunMogaji2: Okay so in regards to coren, quacks, Baba lati brikila, etc
If you’re building anything other than a bungalow on dry land, then you should give your job to experienced and demonstrated builders. Adventures, RichYoungRuler, KolaSHangOne, AbdulWastecx, Spyder880, Skimanski, Darenyx (my personal person architect) are some of the names I’m personally considering as supervising contractor on my next build which has a suspended floor. Not all with agree nor wish to have their name attached to a project that they don’t have total oversight over. I know the critical areas of construction. So I pretty much just need to have my pillars and suspended slabs done right. Right as in structural and not cosmetic.
Over the years we’ve debated over many collapsed buildings, so it’s a reality that issues occur.
This brings me to the point that I’m trying to make. Don’t minimize, ridicule the Baba Lati artisan. The trick here is to use the right tool for the job. Some jobs require Julius Berger, some jobs only a local welder. The involved homeowners task is to decide when to call in the big guns.
I’m currently building rental bungalows. I have oversight from a local certified person at critical stages. Mostly it has been just me and my Baba Lati. Most of the work that we salivate over on here have Baba Latis work all over them. Go past the flash and you’ll see the real workers.
Have a nice Sunday. / Rule 1: Understand what exactly Baba Lati is supposed to be doing. Rule 2: Sit on him to ensure he does it right. Pay him more if you have to. It always boils down to close supervision. / |

neduboo: Hello professionals, please can #2M build me a 3 bedroom bungalow. The land is already available.
My family house is old and always affected by floods. Anytime rain falls, the whole house is flooded. Though floods usually disturb that area. I'm majorly concern about my parents who are getting old putting their legs and sleeping on top of the flood anytime it rains heavily. Because of the flood, I developed asthma while growing up and still battling with it.
Initially, I have an intention of doing some rehabilitation of the old house by removing the roof and filling it above the flood level so that in case the flood comes it will stay outside and won't be able to enter the house (worse case scenario). But my mom discouraged me telling me that it's better to rebuild a new house because the foundation of the old house is already weak.
But I'm very confused because I doubt if my budget can build me a new 3 bedroom flat in front of the old house.
Please kindly advise me. Thanks in anticipation
Location: Lagos / Foundation, block works and then monopitch roof. Nothing fancy. / |

Let the men of GOD in the house clear the air on this. / Can a tither make heaven? I doubt it. It is an insult to God that he wasted his time creating brain and tithers fail to use it. Pastors tell followers about heaven but chose to live their heaven here on earth. You CANNOT buy salvation. Bribery is ingrained in the Nigerian brain that's why tithing resonates with them. They think they are "sorting" God. The world will be a better place if Christians and muslims stop believing that their holy books are the absolute truth. These two major religions are causing all the problems in the world. Someone has to be wrong. I will start taking the Bible seriously if anyone can show me where the Bible condemns slavery. It took human intervention (devoid of biblical backing) to end slavery. NB: I have never paid a dime in tithe in my life. / |
