/ I wish Tinubu will declare and win the election. I will campaign and vote for him just to prove a point. Buhari's Presidency is already dealing a number on Katsina. As of today August 10, 2020, the good people of Katsina are enjoying Buhari's Presidency as noted below:
BREAKING: Armed Bandits Currently Attacking Katsina Community A resident of the area confirmed that the bandits stormed the two communities around 9:40pm on motorcycles while armed with weapons.
BabaRamota1980: Lack of godfather leads to political woes. This is why other ethnics adopt a godfather as the voice of cohesion to escape the ibo style of inter-ethnic battles that cannibalizes and eats the group from within. I understand it perfectly!
/ Those that have a godfather, how market?
Nigeria is still the poverty capital of the world.
Godfathers only take care of themselves and their cronies. Blind followers like you remind us of the popular saying that person wey dey use him head break coconut no dey follow chop am. Final final, after being used, his security go beat shege comot for your body if you near the godfather gate. But then I remember...there are some happy slaves. Have you eaten today? /
BabaRamota1980: This same twist exists in Senate where Ifeanyi Ubah is refusing to support Innoson because the businessman has not approached and acknowledged (bow to) him. I thought Yanminri dont have godfather.
/ Yanminri have pockets of godfathers here and there. But the people are very stubborn as such do not allow one godfather to pocket their destiny. That's why they strive to excel and do not rely on any babalawo to use skulls of their kinsmen to prep their success. I hope you understand the difference now. /
/ Tinubu doesn't care about Kashamu. He has just been reminded of his mortality. Tinubu is only imagining all the nonsense that will be written of him when his creator calls...from his own drug charges, avarice, greed to selling his own tribe for a token to his Fulani masters. They may even bring up all his mother's crimes. /
/ The emergence of the traditional ruler of Alor(Ngige's hometown) who was sponsored by Arthur Ezeh was perceived as an insult to Ngige. As such, it is expected that Ngige will always tackle Arthur Ezeh and the traditional ruler whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Secondly, Chris Ubah that kidnapped Gov. Ngige from the Government House Awka was an errand boy to Arthur Ezeh. So it goes that a friend of my enemy is my enemy. /
1. They unrelenting attack on the person of Bola Tinubu by PDP supporters.
2. The anti-Tinubu's opinion thread that made it to the front page earlier.
I'll be as brief as possible because there's a football match to catch.
Without a doubt, most Nigerians are already looking forward to 2023 and politicians and their strategists are already laying landmines for those they imagine would constitute the greatest stumbling block to the realization of their aspirations. To this end, PDP, even though they have yet to give the slightest hint of their flag bearer, has deployed their supporters and surrogates to initiate a relentless barrage of attacks on whom they suspect would be flying the APC's banner- Tinubu.
Nowhere is this more evident than on Nairaland.
There's a problem with this strategy and it has everything to so with human psychology.
Before the advent of the current political jousting, the Yorubas, not surprisingly, weren't as pro-Tinubu as we see them today- at least, not online. This is because they tend not to be as politically intransigent as other ethnicities in Nigeria. They couldn't care less about the intermittent jabs the man suffers, mostly from Yorubas themselves! Today, the story is totally different, no thanks to the endless attacks on his person by not only PDP supporters, but people they (Yorubas) consider OUTSIDERS.
What we are witnessing is a herd resistance to what the Yorubas consider an attack, not only on Tinubu, but on Yoruba interests. As long as the attacks aren't coming from WITHIN, the collective defence being put up for Tinubu should be expected, the staunchest of which, ironically, would come from folks who were once totally indifferent about Tinubu or whatsoever fate he suffers.
Look at it this way: when IPOB attacked Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Germany, it appeared as though most Igbos endorsed the action, with some saying Igbos are not fond of tolerating errant politicians of Igbo extraction. They applauded the perpetrators and scornfully mocked the victim. But, the moment OUTSIDERS attempted to mock and "insult" the same Ekweremadu, they were rebuffed by the same people that had mocked and insulted him!!
The counter productivity of this strategy should be obvious to PDP and her supporters by now. The more you attack and scorn Tinubu, the more Yorubas would push back, and the more the man tends to grow in popularity. I'm not sure these attacks has turned any pro-Tinubu observer to an anti-Tinubu one, but I am VERY SURE it has turned some indifferent observers into his staunch supporters.
I've no doubt in my mind we all desire a better and prosperous Nigeria, let's try and go about it the right way. Unwittingly making a hero of someone you consider a devious villain would hardly help your course. Review your strategy PDP.
God bless Nigeria.
/ There are no such things as Yoruba interests in Nigerian politics. From Shonekan, Obasanjo to Osibanjo, one would think that Yoruba folks are sophisticated enough to know that whoever is elected is only protecting his/her personal interests and that of his/her cronies. To what extent has Osibanjo's VP slot or Buhari's Presidency benefitted an average Yoruba person or indigenes of Katsina respectively? As election draws nigh, ignorant Neanderthals will start churning out op-ed to maintain status quo over a meagre kickback (or expectations of) from politicians. And the cycle continues.
/ Refineries are not working but workers go there everyday and draw huge salaries/bonuses/allowances every month for zero productivity. A few months from now, NNPC will start hiring again.
/ They should open all the churches. Most Nigerians have nothing meaningful to live for. Religion is the only thing that have some meanings in their lives. Don't take that away too.
engrchykae: Thus says saint obasanjo. A man who committed genocide in odi,Zaki biam. Always forming saint. Slept with his son's wife. God have given you a long time to change your ways but you chose to remain adamantly hypocritic. But the Bible says"for what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he had gained, when God takes away his soul"job 27:27
/ When OBJ dies, write how you feel about him. Kashamu is dead. So OBJ should be at liberty to express his opinion. Should we crown Kashamu "the Are Ona Kakanfo" because he died? Anyone who doesn't want to be disrespected at death should live an exemplary life. It is pointless playing to emotion. /
/ The grass always looks greener from the other side. Handsome guys have seen it all. Less attractive men are looking for trophy not wives to compensate for what they lack. /
Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Goodluck Jonathan, Okezie Ikpeazu. All of them have Ph.D in their fields but turned out to be the most useless leaders in Nigeria.
Rochas Okorocha, Orji Kalu, Bola Tinubu and others. They were millionaires before being elected but failed to impact their people in positive ways.
Yahaya Bello, Bankole, Dino Melaye, Desmond Elliot. They are youthful leaders but a disgrace to governance and leadership.
So it is not by education, wealth or age. The curse is eternal. Get a young, educated and wealthy Nigerian in a position of power and the nemesis will be trippled. It is the system.
/ Are they sure? Or he is pretending to be dead? Crime doesn't pay for a long time. This man spent most of his adult life fighting extradition to the USA. One can only imagine how he felt each time there was a knock at the gate. Now he can rest in peace.
/ There are not enough books in the world to write the names and acronymns of all the associations in Nigeria. Heck even yahoo boys' mothers formed an association too.

Tell us who are the major shareholders in the companies. Now those are who run the world.
made4naijamusic: A video making the rounds on social media has captured the moment a man insisted on putting an engagement ring on his girlfriend’s finger after she rejected it.
According to alleged reports, the couple have been dating for years, so the man decided to take the relationship to the next level.
However, he was shocked to his bones after she turned him down amidst friends and well wishers who also did their best to make her accept his proposal.
In the video shared online, the lady was heard telling him to stop the proposal and get up on his feet, but he insisted on engaging her.
/ Patronize Innoson doesn't mean that IVM is the only vehicle to buy. Ifeanyi Ubah has tens of IVM in his fleet. How does the purchase of just two Japanese vehicles translate to "Igbo hate Igbo"?
/ It will take divine grace to be sexually attracted to your wife after watching her give birth. Nigerians like to copy everything in whiteman's culture. Crazy oyibo men enter labour room, naija man wan begin enter room. Oyibo kneel propose, naija man must kneel to propose.Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Those who are men enough not to join in the stupidity are termed "unexposed" by those who in themselves are as timid as it can get. /
Melodriod: This is my first reasonable post on nairaland ... I don't really know what the comments would be like but man gotta do what he gotta do
So here's the story, I'm a single guy and I've been putting an eye out there looking for someone to love and call my own, so i met this really beautiful nice young lady a month ago and its was more like love at first sight kinda of thing...but i just had to maintain so i don't appear being desperate and all... But truth is am madly in love with this girl, we've been talking ever since then and so far we are becoming more closer as each day passes.
I still haven't asked her out to be my girlfriend but I'm really hopeful that she will say yes to me considering how close we have become lately, we talk about everything and anything.
So to the main gist, currently her smartphone is bad so we can't do things like chatting, whatsapp calls, video calls and the likes... And i feel like getting her a smartphone would greatly be helpful to her as well as get us to communicate more often, so I'm thinking....Is it wise to get her a phone at such an early stage into our relationship (friendship) considering the fact that i haven't asked her and she hasn't said yes to me....
I just feel like she really needs a smartphone and I'm thinking if i should get her one... I've not really made up my mind yet, might sound crazy but I'll really like to get opinions on this..
/ Use that money to buy something nice for your mother.
/ Have you seen election in some churches? NMA is not surprising. NBA election was rigged. NMA election turns violent. Security for different cabals going on shooting spree in Aso Rock. Who said Nigeria is not a zoo? /
Ogonimilitant: God Bless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The leader of freedom fighting all over the world. He said all these things will happen and they are happening now.
Biafra will set you people free from loving your oppressor. God bless MNK GOD PUNISH AND DESTROY THE ZOO
/ The only thing I don't like about Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is that he gives out these information free of charge. That is why they have the audacity to insult him but will be quick to pay millions of dollars to lobbying firms in Washington D.C to tell them what they already know. /
/ Sometimes one cannot help but stand back in awe and listen to the stupidity of the so-called educated elites in Nigeria. Anyone who has ever lived in developed nations understands the concept of "fine prints". That is the part of contract that has the clause to trap a debtor/partner if not combed thoroughly. Nigeria should take a cue from Chinese incursion into African countries. The case may be decided in the International court and none of these lawyers will be there when the clause will be interpreted. Stop borrowing! Nigeria should be the ones giving loans but the resources they have are not being utilized. Who are the miners in Nigeria? The Chinese and other expatriates. Where are the Nigerian companies? Everyone is running to Abuja to loot. Every businessman's goal is to enter politics to enjoy free flow of cash. Right in our very presence, China is taking over Africa. How long will it take before Africa takes care of herself? Francophone countries cannot print their currency. All the money the politicians and co-conspirators are looting are more than enough to fund these projects. Unlike in many countries, the Nigerian youths stand aloof. They prefer BBN.
How comfortable will anyone be to have China running transport and Agricultural sectors in Nigeria till the debt is fully paid? China do not ever sell. They send in their management team and that's how they took over other African countries and the Carribeans. It is a Trojan horse effect. Agbakoba is a poor student of history. At $79b, Nigerian debt profile with China is about 200% of her external reserve. With oil price gyration in the market, Nigeria may not be able to payback the loan. Developed nations make plans beyond centuries but Nigeria and other African countries have plans not exceeding a Presidential term.
/ The craziest person always wins. Let there be a rumour that armed militants have been called up from Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa; all the political bigwigs will stay away from Edo state. They are too comfortable in their domain to take a bullet for Oshiomhole. Federal might is made up of humans who are mortals too. /
/ Ambode should have been tutored by Obaseki. By now no block will be standing in Bourdillon close. At this stealth rate, I foresee a bulldozer moving towards Oshomhole's mansion next week.
/ Why couldn't she be by herrself and do her thing than getting entangled with someone and try to play with his emotion? Don't tell me that she didn't see the signs that her boyfriend is a lunatic.
/ There will be peace on earth when people learn to accommodate everyone. We are all one people under God. Everyone cannot be alpha male. Don't go about castigating weak men who kneel to propose. They don't know neither can they do any better. Just keep praying for them.
