AngelicBeing: True that, my neighbor that was robbed has 2 giant shepherds, from the discussion l had with him during my visit to Nigeria, it seems he was robbed via information through people who were doing some renovation in his house, they provided all the info to the robbers that later came to rob him, that is the only clue he said that might have happened but he has changed his security now via his guard dogs that looks like monsters, once the dog is barking at night, I hear it from one of my properties that is 3mins walk away from his house
l think I am impressed with his dogs, anytime l finally decide to ever live permanently in Nigeria, l don't mind to have a minimum of 6 to 10 German Shepherd roaming where I sleep, let me see the criminal that will come into my premises / I drove around in an old 2003 Toyota with three wheelcovers missing last time I was in Nigeria. Raydos: Eko Atlantic is an entire new coastal city being built on Victoria Island adjacent to Lagos, Nigeria. It is a focal point for investors capitalising on rich development growth based on massive demand – and a gateway to emerging markets of the continent.
The project is privately funded by South Energyx Nigeria Limited – the developers and city planners, a subsidiary of the Nigeria-based Chagoury Group of companies – working in strategic partnership with the Lagos State Government and supported by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Notable national and international banks have been quick to capitalise on the opportunities with some of Nigeria’s biggest – FCMB, First Bank, Access Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank – partnering with Eko Atlantic, with support from BNP Paribas Fortis and KBC.

AngelicBeing: l agree with your position on High fences, I listened to Lagos state commissioner of police few weeks ago and he was of the opinion that high fences are not a deterrence to criminals, he advised for home owners to go for short fences where people can easily see through your home and that some criminals think twice before invading such homes because of fear of been seen by other neighbors who will quickly call the police or other landlords to wake-up, I posted it here few months ago, 3 of my neighbors who had gigantic fence and Iron gates where all robbed / What kind of a slowpoke will jump a high wall to steal from people? A bottle of acid to the wall and a little kick/tap will give an unfettered access to the compound. Hollow blocks make things a lot easier. I prefer guard dogs and motion detectors. These high fences keep away burglars and thieves but not the kind of criminals most Nigerians worry about. I guess it gives people a false sense of security. \ |

Nigerians in Nigeria do not need to delete their FB accounts. They are of zero values in the scheme of things. Residents of developed nations who understand the problems associated with FB (no such thing as a free meal or apps that request access to all data as prerequisites for free download) shy away from social media and the inherent traps.

dainformant: Here are exquisite pictures of the Isiebu country home of Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume named 'Ugwumba Villa' in Okigwe area of Imo state. Ik Ogbonna, the media aide to the governorship aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Araraume, shared the photos online as he wrote;
Sen Ifeanyi Araraume bears the chieftaincy title of Ugwumba Okigwe bestowed on him by the traditional rulers of Okigwe Zone and christened his home in his village, Isiebu in Isiala Mbano, UGWUMBA VILLA.
A first time visitor to the village would be confused if they are still within Owerri municipality with the well connected tarred roads with drainage attracted by the Senator during his glorious sojourn in the Senate.
Coming into Ugwumba Villa proper, you are amazed again by the expansive compound, well lit, neat, aesthetically pleasing, organized and natural environment surrounded by trees and flower's giving an ambience of serenity.
From the marked car parks, to the well mowed grass, lawn flowers, freshly painted structures, well lit compound, tarred roads that has lasted over 10 yrs without potholes.
