No President will ever resign in Nigeria because Nigerians are clowns. In the most serious of all situations, they turn it into jokes and memes. When the dust settles, they'd prefer to migrate to other countries that fought a hard battle, then wonder why they are being persecuted. If you cannot fight for your rights in your country, nobody will...not even UN. Nigerians are more comfortable being pests and parasites. / |
Recycling old leaders has not yield any fruitful result in Nigeria. Nigerians keep making the same mistakes and expect bountiful result. Wetin concern me sef? / |
Explorers:Of course. It is the civilian version of M-16 (military assault rifle) with very minimal recoil. These shooters are giving bad names to our beloved AR-15. / |
MODALSOUL1:/ 50 cal on a bipod with a night vision scope against intruders. |
EgunMogaji: ![]() The dilemma of every diasporan. Usually that means second wife loading.... Moving back home for our women is a NO NO for obvious reasons. No matter how much you have in the account, Nigeria has ways of wearing people out especially when things you take for granted become big deals. \ |
diyawali:A man just killed his wife and you are advertising matchmaking? Are you an agent of death? \ |
Check out how many times God was mentioned in the comments. Black people have no confidence in their abilities. God will come down and do all the worl for them. Take up weapons and defend yourselves. \ |
D1O:/ What are the odds? \ |
"Touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm" The statement that envelopes all the atrocities committed by scammers, ritualists, tithe-gobblers masquerading as pastors. The innocent ones are the ones that haven't been caught yet. / |
Flaghouse1:We don't have it in Nigeria bc we learn one thing and stick with it with little room to think outside the box until oyibo folks come with new innovations. Our libraries and educational curricula are still based off of 1980's materials. You can tell what era a house was built in Nigeria by mere looks. One person builds a particular style, every builder/designer follows and runs with it until it is played out. I am not a big fan of herd mentality--a contrarian and a dissenter to the core. / |
/ If she is a single mother, she is grooming you to be her husband. In a year or two, you will move into the main house. Hang in there. \ |
Social media tells a lot about a person when he/she believes that nobody is watching seriously. It blows the cover off all kinds of "packaging". People should move with time and expect such practice in this 21st Century. Why would an employer hire a prospective employee who goes about picking fights with strangers on social media? Such act tells a lot than the employee would be willing to give away in an interview. \ |
/ Sorry. But even oyibo people don't put in all these efforts to learn their language. They don't seem to care as much as we do. \ |
If in Nigeria, it is mostly to massage some ego. A few of them end up teaching while the rest cannot wait for the next public outing to be so addressed. Of course the latter group ain't researching squat. It ends on their business cards only. / |
The pastor that sells annointing oil and stickers for protection but moves around with MOPOL and security details. What in the world are you still doing in that church? / |
/ Lintels are made to cover space (doors, windows, openings) to be able to bear load on top. Anything else is just fantasy and waste of resources. Some builders do all round concrete works at lintel level, then add two levels of blocks and do the decking. Seriously? That design does not add anything to the structural integrity of the building. Buildings built the old way still stands 60 years after. So what changed? Overkill indeed. \ |
Someone is bragging that he will hand his money over to another man to spend on his behalf. How is this anyone's problem? He can hang himself for the pastor for all I care. Folks should stop giving unnecessary attention to the tithe-paying christians. It is their money. They can flush it down the toilet if that makes them happy in life. As long as tithe-payers and non-tithe payers are equally blessed, why should we care? / |
ceelog:Evidently it boils down to greed. N4000/ton x 30 == N120k. Add N50k for transportation. It becomes N170k which is close to price in the North and SW. But the suppliers want N270k. Difference of N100k (not including yoshi). The level of greed I witnessed in the SE is preposterous. To get things right, you just have to do it yourself. \ |
/ Boko Haram sponsors have found out that they are stumbling blocks to their re-election. From now till 2019, BH will hibernate. Once the election is over, it will business as usual. Nigerians should be well informed enough not to fall for the facade. |
ceelog:/ Are you sure? Do you know any reliable supplier? \ |
/ EFCC will lose. The reason is that it has the most incompetent and corrupt lawyers which explains why there has not been any reasonable prosecution, conviction or closure in all the cases handled so far. They only result to gestapo arrests and media propaganda. Total joke! A good crime fighting organization usually takes time to build the cases that by the time they effect arrest, the suspect will be pleading for deals from all the overwhelming evidence presented. But these morons in Nigeria arrest and start investigation. What school of Criminology taught them that? They are EFCC for Christ's sake and not peace officers. / |
spyder880:Thanks for the input. I'd rather buy in tipper loads then. 911 should be about 10 tonnes? Even the tonnage of the delivery trucks comes into question. I'd always suspected some collusion between the folks at the quarry and the suppliers. / |
So anyone that kills a cow pays double the price. But any herdsman whose cows destroy crops gets warned and moved to another community. Where are the State Assembly members when you need them? / |
This guy makes mockery of having young people in governance. So age is not a factor. It is the Nigerian curse. Perhaps they should ban prayers in Nigeria to see if there will be improvement in expectations. Evidently, prayers in Nigeria are inversely related to growth and providence. Why are Nigerians less prayerful as soon as they leave the country? In diaspora: Q: What time will you be in office? A: 8am In Nigeria: Q: What time will you be in office? A: By the special grace of God...8am. Yet the country is a sh!thole. / |
Daboomb:Is there any "tested and confirmed" foolproof way to prevent this scam? Bixton: Getting another supplier may not be the solution because there is no guarantee that it won't be another scammer-in-waiting. How long do you intend to do this until you get a trustworthy supplier? Nigeria is indeed an "interesting" place for transactions. Is there a reason (other than greed) for the huge disparity in price between N/SW and SE/SS. 30T granite in Lagos is N145k. Right? But in the SE/SS, the price they are quoting is N270k for 30T. \ |
EgunMogaji:/ So I am not the only one that watches Nollywood movies. ![]() No. I am going with my Cele team to the quarry. ![]() \ |
bixton:/ If you believe and have evidence that you have been ripped off by the supplier, what will be the solution? There comes one more headache in doing business with Nigerians? Who can be trusted? / |
bixton:www.nairaland.com/attachments/6674569_1625700102023270024497821421771676n_jpeg1ca3d3860f65e17cb394b4e3f0421a8d / Who can guess what these folks are doing with the shovels on top of the delivery truck? I hope it is not what I am thinking. / |
