Clone2020: Naaah most of the people paying $150 for pay-per-view aren't actual MMA or boxing fans, rather due to the constant promotion on tv and social media, they've been made to believe Conor will use mma fighting techniques like flying kicks and headbutts to annihilate mayweather; I can't really blame them, they don't know any better. But any avid boxing fan who pays for this circus, deserves nothing but a 2 minutes fight. You are better off streaming this fight for free. Nobody saves $100k to pay for a side court boxing seat. People want to be entertained. As poor as Nigerians are, people still pay to get into viewing centers to watch European league. $100k is to some people as N100 is to others. They know that it is about 15 minutes bout. Do you think they care? / |

Blue3k: Kanu's lawyer's legal argument is shaky at best. His client held multiple political rallies one in port Harcourt and Anambra. Why would he claim AGF can't request for clients bail to be revoked when it's there in black and white.
The only thing I'm wondering is if court will put him in jail or simply vary his bail conditions. I'm guessing jail since Kanu flagrantly disregards court conditions. The prosecution proving BSS is public threat makes jail likelier. The statement from Kanu's lawyer seems to be reinforcing the position and power of the AGF in this case. However, prosecutors in Nigeria are clowns. They acquired degrees and certificates with no foundation understanding of the application of law. Give them all the evidence in the world and they still cannot make valid legal arguments and/or presentation that can lead to conviction. The only way the government convicts is by forceful incarceration. If Kanu goes in pro per, he will mop the floor with AGF's team in court for one, they will never be prepared for a case. Corruption in Nigeria is on extraterrestial level. / |

So like a house built on shaky foundation, the marriage contracted within two months of meet up packed up because they were both shallow-minded. The pretense wore out. That's all.
Sometimes all it takes is one bad joke that reminds Ooni that he married a cheerful giver or unrelenting and envious frenemies that inundate Ooni with history of her sexcapades. \ |

stevedre: you are right but remember there was Nitel landline telephone and magazines which were the real deal then so still stand on my point that the society plays a bigger role in the way people behave. As for the malaysian guys you are right but honestly its not easy to find a good wife in Nigeria when you are based abroad. If these girls work you on facebook and whats app chat you will know that they professional, educated and smart runs girls. What baffles me the most is their age, the girls between 17 to 25 are so good you will think you have met an angel on earth. It is well with us. Ever tried dialing those phones to reach someone? It used to be by appointment only and sometimes may involve a walk to call center only to be greeted by "all trunks are busy please try later". Talk about frustration in love. International call is on a whole new level. Nowadays you can hook up with anyone from the comfort of your bedroom. No more international barriers. As if that is not enough, fb showed up with "borrow-pose" enticement. Instagram sef no help matter. Everyone is marketing himself/herself. A man wants to pose on top say "he don arrive" while a lady may be out to catch "the biggest mugu" she can attract. Guy man meets guy lady..na only devil go judge. Who wan suffer? All na packaging. If you meet some online slay queens in real life, you will vomit in disgust. I guess photoshop has to do its job. When the cloud clears, the guys main brain takes over from the little head while the lady see say money no dey flow as represented online...washing of dirty linen in public ensues. We must learn to adapt. The mindset of ladies in 1970s is not the same as the ladies in 2017. N450k phone gift for a slay queen? God forbid! N450k is some people's 8 months' salaries. Add little money on top, you get a brand new wife. Or if down on your luck, take N50k from that money, take selected family member to the North and chop 24 strokes of cane. Voila! You get a 1999 model brand new wife. The good news be say you still get N400k balance in your account. Where was I? Some people can only learn the hard way. / |

alexialin: There is this neighbor of mine, hes a bachelor and lives on my street. Few houses from mine. Hes a nice man, has a reasonable job, hes responsible, and good looking in his late 30s. We greet each other, have small talks as friends. I know he likes me due to the way he gists with me, help me with my car like changing tyre if its flat in the wee hours of the morning before he heads to work. Infact hes a concerned neighbor. But yesterday evening, as I came back from work, my phone was ringing nd I saw his number and picked. He said he would like to discuss something important and delicate. I said ok no probs. I will come over to your place, lemme freshen up first.
So fast forward, I knocked on his door he opened, and smiled nervously, I smiled back. He ushered me to his sitting room. So I was like John, whats up? Whats going on? He sat close to me and was now going Into long story of how hes planning to move down to a serene area in ikorodu, he has gotten a three bedroom flat, all tiled amd spacious. I was like wow! So u are moving to ikorodu? Are u not scared with badoo and the killings there?
He laughed nervously he said ha! No badoo there again! Ikorodu is now safe. I said seriously? He said yes! And moreover he has already paid for the place. I said ok o.. I wish u safe relocating then. He said thank you Then he said but there is one more issue.
I said ok, u want to throw send off party? I was laughing
He said noooo!
Hmm mm, hmmmm, I said what nah? Why hmmm? Then he knelt down and said alexia weve known each other for quite a while and i can say am comfortable with you around me. And u are exactly what i need in my life. Pease will u marry me? Will u be my wife? Am ready to go see your people and do all the necessary marriage rites. And towards end of this year, we are married.
I was like wait, wait!
Marry you? Ha! Its not that u are good as a husband but sorry I can never live in ikorodu. Not wit the killings going on there
Am sorry I cant
Wow! Pls stand up abeg.. I can't
He felt so bad, I couldnt bear to see the hurt in his eyes. As I stood up, he said wait pls.. I said am coming.
Sighs
Now peeps look at this scenario
I can't jeopardize my life cos of getting married.
Ikorodu for me is a no go area.
Do u guys and ladies feel I was unreasonable
I know am not a spring chicken but I can't put my life in danger And even apart from danger? I feel the distance from where hes moving to and where my office @is just too long. Hold up alone eveyday will make me weary and tired
Pls I need reasonable views and replies about this issue
I don't want to feel like am a bad person
Pls dont mind my grammatical errors! Let's assume that the story is non-fiction: 1. The guy is hopeless. How can he go from 0-100% in a blink of an eye. Exchange of pleasantries and good deeds does not equate to love. He didn't even ask for a date...but marriage? SMH. 2. You love him but not in love with him. If you do, everything is negotiable. He can release his apartment in Ikorodu and two of you will plan your future better. He tried to release himself from a "friend zone". But it ain't easy. Going from a carwasher to a driver takes a whole lot of effort, very daunting I must admit. If you care about him, give him a good odeshi as a parting gift. He may need it when badoo comes calling. / |

I am in total support of feminists.
And every guy should be in support of feminism.
The family brings 2 pages of marriage materials, she will be responsible for the content of one page while the man takes care of the others.
On a date, as I chop dey pay; she go chop dey pay her own.
She gets her dildos, the man uses his hands...until both parties agree to engage in horizontal mumbo jumbo.
Whoever blinks first, loses.

I bet you that your mother had no camera phone, fb or instagram page before or when your dad married her. It is very easy to establish contact with people these days. barrydee: Good day guys, I need your honest answers. I drove a friend's car (2001 Volvo s80 2.8 T6 twin turbo charged Engine) over the weekend from Port Harcourt to Calabar and I was wowed. The handling was great especially the torque & power. No car saw my behind all through the journey and I felt totally safe even at speed up to 150kph. The gas mileage was better compared to a 3.0 Camry v6 not to talk of the stylish interior and club banging factory stereo. My questions are : -why do people avoid Volvo Cars? -why do Volvo cars have poor 2nd hand value? -Being a Swedish car, are the parts cheaper when compared to German cars(Benz, BMW etc)? -The s80 has straight 5cylinder, 5cyl Turbo, straight 6cyl and 6cyl twin-turbo engines. Which of these engines is less problematic?
I currently own a 2001 Honda crv but Im considering the volvo s80 and i don't know if it's a good upgrade. My Volvo enthusiasts in the house, over to you guys..... The problem with Volvo is that it couldn't find its niche. It cannot compete with everyday Japanese cars like Toyota and Honda neither can it compete with the more luxury Mercedes and BMW. Nice ride though. I had an S60 once. Transmission problems are common. // |
