/ After reading the whole epistle, it appears plagiarised. But on further analysis, I found out that my confusion came from hearing the same storyline which has rather become stale from GEJ co-looters. Okonjo Iweala is in lala land. It is appalling to watch what Nigeria has finally reduced NOI to. She is still basing her arguments on fictitious Economic indices that do not stand test of time. \ |
/ Must? Unless Nigeria is your fiefdom. Your successor should be younger than you. All stakeholders shall sit down, discuss and agree. Imposition is not the hallmark of democracy. I don't think GEJ has such clout. \ |
/ I guess miracles happen.... Only when they are pre-arranged Ebola dismantled the scam last year when pastors took part in the saline solution bath instead of binding and casting Ebola. \ |
/ Dictate or detect. Choose one. \ |
/ No biggie! Every occupation has its hazards. A knife to the head happens to be a hazard of Nigerian politics just as being roasted alive is an occupational hazard in thievery. \ |
samflexxy:/ When you are in the Piano lounge in Transcorp Hilton, FCT sipping some champagne, you will know that those ladies do not find it difficult to approach men. Heck! Some of them will offer to buy you drinks if they notice that you lodge there. I guess gifts do go to those who least need them. So...it depends. \ |

/ Hate him or love him. But Amaechi is the kind of friend we all deserve. In peace or squabbles, he remains loyal unlike most people that stick around only when the going is good. Someone like this dude is very difficult to find these days. \ |
/ Not a problem. Your friend and his gf do not want to talk to you. Good. Stay away from them. Truth has a way of coming out at last. Everyone is expendable. After all, if this your friend dies today, your life will go on. \ |
/ If you understand the music industry, you will know how easy it is for musicians to go broke. If D'Banj sells a million copies, he will only get a little fraction of the money assuming he has royalty fees embedded in his contract. Meanwhile, he will bear the cost of marketing wwhich comes from the money he received as advance payment(sort of a mobilisation fee). Until Recording companies recoup their cost, he ain't getting a dime. The problem is that most artists spend the advance in buying fancy cars, jewelries for promo. thinking the money is a gift. So an artist can go from 0-100-0 quicker than most people can imagine. If I were D'Banj, I will start booking more live shows to raise cash. / |
/ It is good to listen to stories... However, it is more important to consider who is telling it. \ |
Sincere9gerian:/ You missed the most important one... The fringe benefits from TAN disbursed surreptitiously that butter your bread and fortify the stomach infrastructure. \ |
/ The worst thing to happen to a man is to take away his freedom especially away from his billions. Jail is a deterrent to budding looters. Long prison sentences and confiscation of assets are the best tools for fighting corruption. There are no ways to create a system that can beat the creative imagination of the human mind. The fact that GEJ cannot comprehend this calls to question his sanity. \ |
jerflakes:/ How dare you ask Africans to use their brains for something progressive? \ |
dennismukoro:/ Forth -- onward or outward Fourth --- 4th. Just you know. \ |
Chillext:/ Folks: Don't forget that autocorrect could be an @sshole sometimes. \ |
/ One would think that Nigeria military will be engaging on reconnaissance mission to Sambisa forest to gather "intels" necessary to dismantle BH. Nigeria military is still stuck in the dark ages, just like anything Nigeria. SMH. This reactionary approach will not yield any concrete result. \ |

/ The main reason is that most men in this era do not have the wherewithal to enter into marriage. The ones with the means do get married. As complex as it is, Okada riders, Keke-NAPEP drivers and other artisans keep getting married while the jobless and under-employed men stay away from marriage for obvious reasons. But then, it is always nice to have comforting excuses than facing the reality. It is more of financial problems than the attitude of the ladies. It is not as if the men are saints. \ |
ogene007:/ Yes. GEJ has the best team. And we are seeing the result and reaping the benefits a la the collapse of naira, the raid on foreign reserves, and worst of all, no economic goals set to be achieved. They are not doing any better than you do in your house. You get your salary, then appropriate accordingly to meet your basic needs. In Nigeria's context, they sell oil, and then appropriate accordingly making room for some amount to be looted. Nigeria's economy is on auto-pilot. GDP, Trade surplus, Consumer Price Index, Core inflation, you name it. The same BS indicators that look good on paper and statistical charts but do not show the real health of the economy in common sense terms. NOI is from the same school of thought that are involved in what I call "presentation economy". Even USA relied on all these BS and other technical economics jargon in 2008 yet the global recession started right under their nose. Then of course, Economics is not a pure science. \ |
DukeNija:/ GEJ did a lot. His biggest problem is his inability to articulate those achievements and how he plans to do more. \ |
/ ...That sweet feeling when an Economics graduate from UNN starts teaching ECON 101 to a hyped albeit clueless Havard graduate who happens to be the Coordinating Minister of Finance. ***just smiling*** \ |
/ At what point will you humans stop trying to figure out what God is thinking? Can you even decipher what a human being is thinking? \ |
dplomaticVal:/ You determined it is a lie. Whatever rocks your boat. \ |
berem:/ They are trying very hard to find some reasons for the postponement. Governor of Bauchi State bursted their bubbles. This is probably the handiwork of disenfranchised PDP members. Like PDP chairman rightly pointed out, "the era of being used and dumped is gone. Not monkey dey work, baboon dey chop...". So PDP do the needful and settle your thugs to avoid future occurrences. \ |
/ This dude is a funny fellow. Skinny as fvck. I remember an encounter I had with him. I was checking into a hotsl in Enugu and I jokingly asked the beautiful receptionist for an autograph. He invited himself into the discussion and told me that the lady is not a star so it was pointless requesting for her autograph. So I asked, "Who is this guy?". He asked if I don't know who he is. I said no. He said that he is a Nollywood star. And I told him that I don't watch that crap. He blew a gasket. Of course I had seen and enjoyed some of his movies. But his reaction was epic. / |
majekdom2:/ Suit yourself. \ |
majekdom2:/ And you didn't read the disclaimer part of my submission where I stated that there are some exceptions? However, exceptions are outliers and do not make the rules. Because she has her name on the title does not mean she paid for it. If your babe has a car and does not bother you with expenses related to the car, don't worry because there is a reason for that. When she needs money, she knows where to get it. You may just be a benefactor. That's all. Take care. \ |
Ijebulogic:/ Eagle eyes! I am amazed at how you pay close attention to details. GMB, Tinubu studied in USA. So they understand all these little things that send sublimal messages. GEJ, Okupe, Abati are just local champions that are still mesmerized at the presence of a Caucasian because of their limited exposures to Whites' psychology. GEJ should wipe that sheepish grimace off his face. This is an official State visit and not an alcoholic competition. \ |
majekdom2:/ Remember that I am not your role model. I stated my observations. State yours. We can agree to disagree. \ |
MzNelly:/ First love starts in High Schools...then they grow apart. Who in High school is thinking about marriage? Marrying the first love points to early marriage which in today's society is bound to fail. Unless we are talking about marriage and not a lasting one, it is an aberration. So you are very correct! \ |
rubey:/ Take a look at the society. A lady with a car in Nigeria will indicate 1). A runz babe 2). Married 3).Sugar baby. There could be some exceptions. But being that women are naturally cheap, only in a very extremely rare case would a Nigerian lady walk up to a dealership and buy herself a car. It is very very very very very very rare. Yep. That bird dancing along the road has something beating the drum for it in the bush. Such ladies tend to attract gigolos and "cchewing gum" boys that aim to "follow and enjoy" oga money to satisfy the saying, " as you dey carter for woman, she go dey bless the man she likes". As a matter of fact, dating a lady in Nigeria that owns a car is a big liability. Be ready to be hit up for cash for tires, brake pads, etc. / |
