Kudos to you Op! You're on your way to become a big time water pump installer! Keep increasing your knowledge and zeal to help farmers. God bless you ![]() |
You mean Plantain chips? Never heard of banana chips. How much? What is the power rating and requirements? |

There are lot of fantastically mad people in Nigeria mingling with the few sane people and when they display the symptom we are all quick to call the devil or call them wicked. How many sane men will set their daughter on fire for returning late from a visit ![]() |
Good development! A government that walk the talk. Kindly monitor the areas to ensure the gates are not re-install. Some street have gates installed from time immemorial that the entrance have been turned to refuse dump, second-hand car sales showroom, mini shops etc. I mean the Lock-throway--key type of street gate. Gate does not guarantee security. With all the locked gates robbers still operate indiscriminately on these street and areas. Security beef up and community policing is the ultimate solution to crime prevention not 'gated streets' |
This is mind boggling |

tiwaz:Rest in peace to the two brothers. May God give the family the fortitude to deal with this sad loss. However, I think their death circumstance is spurious; from the report: they died during the accident and were given mass burial withouth any autopsy or DNA confirmation of the corpses ![]() |
Mobile barber, braiding/make-up. Small scale buying and selling of clothes or shoes. Acting as event usher/bouncer. Home cleaning, car wash, rug washing etc |
Nice concept. |
If she's not working then let her find ways to manage the 50K. What happen to introducing baby to ogi (brown pap) and a bit of cerelac to cut down on cost? The pap is organic and natural. Pampers can be used during the night or when she's going out to scale down on pampers cost . Generator can be switched off when the weather is cool or as a rule at 10pm or 12 midnight. She should examine her cost profile and try to find less expensive alternatives. We cultivated expensive taste and we can also scale down to less expensive ones. She should also avoid buying things on impulse without adequate budget or planning. My two cents! |
The write-up is highly recommended for undergraduates and even young graduates. I have 2 additions: 11. [b]Identify your ideal career/job while you are an undergraduate and select a mentor in the field. Interact with your mentor in order to be guided with the criteria for success in your chosen field e.g. the job opportunities, the professional certifications and additional skills you may need to acquire to be able to get a job after graduating or to be successful as an entrepreneur as the case may be. 12. Use your school holiday period (or any available free time like strike period or even public holidays) to acquire additional skills in what I will call back-up skills e.g. catering, carpentry, plumbing, tailoring, phone repairs, computer repairs, electrical repairs/house wiring, structure cabling, borehole drilling, poultry farming, fish farming, horticulture, cleaning and fumigation, barbing, hairdressing/braiding, make-up, interior decoration, photography/graphic art, house painting, drama/acting, songwriting etc. If you are a Youth Corper or about to serve, use the NYSC year to also learn a back-up skill, don't just while away the service year. It is important to pick an additional skill that you have interest in to enable you connect your passion with the learning. |
This is applicable to anyone who does projects or presentation. Absolutely brilliant! |
I was invited to your page by Mdme Chaircover. Hope you are doing well Madam? I've been off nairaland for a while. @ OP You have been given so many quality and practical advice. I especially like Bukytane, Chaircover and Aisha2 advise; you need to redefine your business strategy and find a niche/your USP (Unique Selling Point). There is probably one of your strength that you can sharpen and concentrate on in addition to always being ready to go the extra mile for clients. I read in one of your post where you said you cannot go back to paid employment and earn peanut. You need to get off your high horse and face reality. NOTHING IS CAST IN STONE and sometimes in life YOU NEED TO STOOP TO CONQUER. Put your shame aside and wear the toga of necessity! I also observed you claimed you bought your office furniture three years ago and they are currently in your home lying fallow. That is money that is simply being eroded by this act day in day out; office furniture do not appreciate; they are probably worth half of their purchased value now. Have you thought of selling those furniture and using the proceed to fix your car? Like my Sister - Chaircover suggested turn that car into kabu kabu while still practicing your Estate agency business. I don't know which city you are in; but if you are in Lagos or any other big city. You can do 'rush hour' kabu kabu i.e. 6am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm to make some money for you and your family basic needs. The timing will also give you time for business appointment with clients You can also offer semi pro bono services at construction site etc. When we were building our house there was a certain gentleman that was always hovering around. Initially I was never comfortable with him until he introduced himself as an um-employed graduate of Estate Management. He always offer to help us do so many things which I always turn down even though occasionally my hubby wanted to give in until one particular day our block supplier got delayed and we were almost running out of 9 inches block. This young man went away and within 30 minutes came back with a truck load of 300 units of 9 inches block (He took a big risk knowing that we may turn down his offer again). The quality was the same with the ones we were using. Thus, we bought the blocks from him and thereafter gave him some other small jobs. No one is after you; It is well with your soul! ![]() |

My hubby was never supportive during any of my pregnancies. In fact, it was so bad after birth that I contemplated divorce. He acted as if he did not care. I can never forget the care of my kid sister though and my strange food requests. The strange efo soko recipe: No onions, no tomatoes, no seasoning. Just salt, rodo, dried fish and efo soko. Breakfast was pap and my efo, lunch white rice and efo, dinner was amala and my efo all these for the 1st trimesters. I remember my second pregnancy was so bad that I had anaemia. Most times I will be so weak that I won't be able to do anything. I think men brings out their true colours during wifey pregnancy |

That's definitely too fat for comfort I recall a cleaner in one of my previous companies back in the days who was as fat as Ricky's wife (or fatter). Come and see drama when she got knocked down by a mad rider (Okada) and sustained a broken leg. To help her into the staff bus enroute hospital was almost an impossible mission. We used a combination of wheel barrow and CAT crane to lift her up and put her in the bus. Another part 2 drama occurred when we arrived at the hospital; to bring her out of the bus into the hospital took 4 hefty guys and a stretcher plus she was in serious pain. |

mZ sleeq: I think am also a victim of this.I finished secondary school @ the age 15.I was sooo naïve I still tought the only courses to study were nedicine, law and accounting.the heck,I was sooo good in technical drawing.I was d only student that sat for TD durin WAEC in the whole school.but I never knew dere was a course called architecture. After secondary school,my dad pushed me into studying chemistry, which is what he studied.to add pepper to my wound ,I got into university the same year I finished secondary school.so,dere was no time for exposure @ alll.today am a chemistry graduate and I av NO prospects to work with it.because I don't like it.I'm not passionate about it.and today,I still regret not doin architecture.I've directed my energy into handwork though.I make wireworks now and I sew. So,who do I blame, myself?the government,my father, the educational system? It depends on your age Sis. You can still achieve that dream - Architecture. I have a classmate back then in the university who went back to school to study Medicine after a B. Sc. in Microbiology! You're most likely to be a success if you study a course you're most passionate about. |
mofolorunshoabi: My dear familylanders! Quiet sometime now that we have communicated last. I have been trying to redirect the course of my journey. Now if u can recollect my last post, I told u he had taken me to court and we are still on the matter. The issue now is that he is sending a trusted friend of his to me saying he wants me to come and enjoy the largese he is currently enjoying with this "rich and matured" widow. Now he travels more often overseas, he changes cars and has even bought house in london. Going back to his marriage with me means going back to poverty. How can the lure of money make a man sacrifice his children and wife( that started life with u when you had nothing) for things money can buy? I have told the friend to tell him to pls go ahead and enjoy life with his 'mummy and adopted' children. As long as God is still on the throne, we will never lack! Pls pray for us.Dear Poster, God will see you through this victoriously. You need to be strong, calm and collected. This is the time to remain focus on your objective - Win the Custody of your children All your thoughts ans actions towards this divorce case should be focus on this objective. What your 'husband' is trying to do by sending a 'mediator' to you during a divorce case center on children custody is just to spite you and weaken your defence (by the Mediator telling you story of riches!) Do not give in please! ![]() |
