BlueRayDick: That's what they don't know. They think government can withstand losing income for a long drawn out confrontation with organized labour?
Las las there will be compromise from both parties .
Dem think say na ASUU wey people no really send. By the time Pengassan joins and the national grid is shutdown, all those muscles that are currently rising will start going down.
izzou: Try dey use public transport. E dey save money.
This strike won't favour the masses in the long run
That one go hard well well with my nature of work. I have to start leaving tools and equipment at home since I can't carry all. You get to site thinking the problem is A only to turn out to be B and the things you need to resolve it have been left at home.
Meanwhile, you're bound by contract to resolve issues within a specific time frame or you start paying penalties. It's very very difficult
Spy360: This strike will not be a good idea especially when the person in power doesn't care.
I suggest they engage more until a compromise is reached. I don't want NLC and president to drag power, it's the masses and the economy that will suffer at the end.
Tinubu's own economy is to use this month's subsidy to balance his account after spending so much during elections. Ajaero knows this that's why he is asking for NNPCL accounts statement.
This country has just entered one chance.
The government will fold. They can't withstand what will hit them.
TrebleChamp: Comrade Joe Ajaero na confirm weyrey, person wey be factional NLC President, yet manage to pull Nupeng and Pengassen into his faction of NLC. But i doubt the strike will hold sha, if it does hold, na for person to rest and save Tfare...
It is looking very likely it will hold. AJaero is saying the only condition to bring them to any negotiating table is to revert to the old price. Nothing has shown that the government is willing to do that.
I welcome the strike wholeheartedly. Make I keep my fuel
sultaan: The whole width of Lagos is about 10 km , if you all check your odometer your daily commute is not more that 8 km, it is the bad roads and traffic that make trip longer, and the bad fuel burns fast
Highorbit7O16: These days, I don't even use AC anymore, I wind down half way both front windows, the back just a little also so hand can't pass through, then I open the sun roof sometimes in traffic. I'm surprised to still see traffic sha. But anytime I get free road,I'm doing 80/120km/hr with the windows closed more The stress is even making me wonder if im saving anything.
There are apps you can use to track your mpg or you manually calculate it.
If your vehicle displays mpg, even better. Just clear and track it.
sultaan: If you buy normal petrol and run at 8km/l . Most people don't drive/travel more than 8km back and forth daily.
Normally should not be spending more than N700 daily. Traffic is a monster especially in Lagos cause by intentional choke points used for road construction contract.
Only God knows where you people pull these stats from.
Pearl1910: If they do, fine. If they don't, we should gallop ahead.
I remember when I started this hussle, Bolt commission was 15% and I usually Net 10k daily. But fast forward to today, commission is 25% and I am netting 20k to 30k daily. If it's by increasing commission that I will earn more, then they should continue increasing the commission o. Indrive that is 10% isn't giving me more profits. I have said it before, their commission is not my business but what enters my pocket.
This is mostly because the price without surge today is like the price with a 1.7 surge when you started.
I have to add that I now see you people's point. It took Gilthronx(not sure about the spelling) post for me to see it. Maybe because I read his post with a different eyes than I would have read yours.
The situation is not as good as before but it's not too bad either. Every driver just has to find a way to make 3-5k daily more than they used to do. How they do that is up to them to figure out.
lrman: Dey whyne yourself...keep quoting and hyping yourself with alt monikers..
Not everyone is dumb na....last post was December..and all of a sudden your moniker became active today and the first person you replied and hyped was the same moniker ..the same moniker you hyped and quoted on your last post by December last year before you logged out of the account to login to another one...
OasisX: ..........₦30k per week or month? I know situation in the country is bad, but how can Someone be comfortable with ₦30k per month?
What happens to alternative source of income like running POS business? Well, I strongly hope palliatives are in the plan and will be rolled out soon to cushioning the effects.
My brother, you are so detached from reality
Those who earn 30k live from debt to debt. There is no money anywhere to set up any alternative source of income.
When the salary comes, they use more than half of it to settle debts. They have rent of roughly 5k a month to pay(could be more), toiletries to buy, food, transport to work e.t.c gulps the remaining and they have to borrow again before the month ends.
Barbiturate: You dey hide your car? Tell us make we know na! Wetin dey there? It's a faceless forum na
There's nothing to hide. At least, two people here know the car I drive. Felicity and ksmart. Putting it out here adds nothing to anyone. I'm not interested in doing that.
