Sci-fi? Not my thing at all. Only one I've managed to enjoy is Severance. Unfortunately, it's not available on Netflix and Prime.

Unless you want them to remove the fx restriction on those items and increase the import duties to astronomical heights.

The one they did with vehicles did not work

Put an innoson vehicle of 5m side by side with a 10m foreign used Toyota Avalon. 95% of people will still go for the Avalon.

Only way IMO is to restrict it as they have done.

Even Wike with his strong head could not do anything to them. He once stopped them from parking in front of govt. house and they went on strike.

When the hardship became unbearable on residents of the state, he had to allow them park there. They are still parking there till this day

last 2 months, I subscribed for DStv using visa Option on the DStv app, it was declined and I was debited, I did it the second time using flutterwave (which I've been using) it was successful and I was debited..

I logged complaint to both my bank and the DStv platform.. DStv said that I got value for my money (which is probably the 2nd subscription) I made it known to them that I did it twice.. the first was declined while the 2nd went through.. they said they only received money for the 2nd..

I carried the case to my bank which is KUDA.. they logged the case... Each time I check ✅ on the case.. they tell me they re waiting on the recipient which is the DStv for the feedback..

Fast forward to few days ago.. after like 3 months waiting.. they replied me that the recipient (DStv) replied them that I got my real value ..

That was how I lost that 14k+.. no refund.. case closed.. although there is option for escalation..

These tech companies are thief's I must say.. it's hard to see any department 🏬 in Nigeria that is devoid of corruption and fraud

When DSTV tried this nonsense with me, I looked for the email address of their country managing director and copied him in the mail.

My money was refunded immediately

So I can order from Aliexpress/Ebay right? The NISSAN guy is saying I should use a chassis number to order the right one and he will do the programming but I think he is just trying to dissuade me so I can buy their overpriced Key fob (N90,000) not including programming and cutting of key.

OEM keyfob is about $120, if that's what he wants to sell, seems about right but knowing these people, I don't think so.

The one from ebay will serve but why not check the local market for new or used fob?

I have lost my key fob to a 2016 Nissan Sentra. Who knows were I can get it done cheaper? Nissan Gbagada is asking for an arm and a leg.

Just buy the keyfob. Any one with a decent scanner can reprogram it.

For most people, I don't think it's a question of better or worse. I think they have just remained stagnant. Not necessarily better and not worse.

For every penny you earn more, the bills and inflation just eat it up.

You see this Lagos ehn, u fit leave work 4.30 get home 7pm and then u will check ur phone at 10.30 pm to see the status of a colleague who is still stuck in traffic cos one trailer fall for a full side of the road . Shey the person’s fuel conservation strategy never collapse so ?

You have a point. I can't remember the last time I spent more than 20 minutes in traffic.

That you reduced frivolous spending doesn't mean other expenses haven't come up to take up what you reduced.
The general price of food has gone up.
The increase in the price of fuel is 3 times. Meaning even if you don't drive alot, you are still spending beyond shege for the small fuel you bought.

Even if the fuel last you a longer time, the money you used to buy that fuel is 3 times higher than what you used the last time.
Don't know if you understand?

Those other expenses will still have taken up some other money na. At least, the fuel you bought at 200 freed up some money you used for the other expenses.

You will understand when you buy at the new price

Where was this? Probably when the flyovers and roads were being constructed and everyone was forced to use the same route. Things have really changed, thanks to Wike. It is very difficult to experience that kind of traffic these days.

E be like say when Oyinbo dey design free market theory , demand and supply , etc dem no give allowance for Naija corruption .

Filling one’s tank won’t do much jare . Something that u will still exhaust sooner or later and eventually buy the expensive one .

I have a friend who really likes going out and partying. He's one of those guys we call omo jaye jaye. I called him recently to find out how much they sell fuel around his area(we live in different parts of town) only for him to tell me he has not bought fuel since BAT made the announcement

He's still using the fuel he bought at N205. I asked how manage, he said he only uses the fuel to work and back to the house. He no longer picks up nor drops any lady that visits him. He will just give them tfare. No clubs, parties, events, e.t.c. I couldn't believe what I was hearing

My point is, you'll be surprised how long it now takes people to use full tank of fuel. A lot of adjustments have been done.

It may not go up if the dollar is available at 630 at the banks. I will advice you to suspend any further purchase until things get clearer. You can easily lose money.

What actually happened was that the previous official rate of 460 has now depreciated to 660. If banks can meet demand, those selling at the black market rate will have no choice but to bring the price down.

For now, nothing much has changed in the black market. That's why you're still seeing the price you saw yesterday.

Gbam! There's nothing that scares me than union and cabals in these country. Buhari did a lot, but they still cut him to size. Tinubu maybe right along this toll, but what I see right now is a government of scatter it all and let the fittest survive. However, if they all key into one voice and union, the masses will be the one to suffer.

That is just one of the realities that has manifested . Many more will come; as things will be expensive going forward .

When people say stuff like “ Things will get tough first but it will get better in the long run “, I really think people don’t know how long “the long run” will be before it comes (That is if it ever comes ). I hope people know malaria that private hospital will treat u for say 10k-15k May go as high as 50k-60k because even their own cost of operations will increase. It is easy for people we see on TV (who belong to the upper class ) talking about how we all need to endure and weather the storm , but it’s something else seeing people in the middle class and lower struggle to cope with the new economic realities .

Worse still, if banks cannot meet local demand of the Dollar at that 600+, it will push people to the black market and we all know what will happen.

There is every possibility fuel may rise to more than 700/litre. Anyone who can fill his tank should do it now.

Even if it is remains at the current price, all well and good. The fuel is still there to be used.

Dollar is going down...he just lost N100 per Dollar. That wasn't a right move, things haven't settled yet, market is still reacting to the new President.

Not yet. It's still 750+ in the black market. It remains to be seen if banks can meet all the Dollar demand at 600+. If yes, then he will eventually lose money and if no, the rate at the black market will further increase.

I just hope those celebrating with Oasisx are outside the country like him. Good luck buying anything with 30k in the market on weekends

The coming days are going to be really hard.

It remains to be seen if there will be a calm after the storm as promised.

I also wonder if this N511 cost of fuel was arrived at using 600+ naira to the dollar (not likely) or the previous 460. I guess we will soon find out.

Do not listen to anyone who tells you to repair it.

Infact, treat anyone who advices you to repair it as your enemy.

Replace the transmission with a good toks unit and have rest of mind.
