NLC strike and Elrufai's arrogance aside. It is inhuman for doctors or nurses to go on strike. But as we are only driven by money, they probably see themselves as not different from file hustling and bribe seeking civil servants. |

The case was either dismissed or the man met bail conditions but the powerful Ned Nwoko wasn't satisfied or couldn't be patient with the court process. Stop being emotional. Ned Nwoko did not detain him nor charged him to court. The police did. Provide the court acquitting the man. For your education. In criminal cases, you don't go to different courts on the main charges. It is one level after another if either party is not satisfied just like election tribunals. |

I dont know of you ever walk to any like state owned hospitals, immigration... and many they will want u to bribe them to do their work Being useless and demanding bribe are separate issues. Many of you happily give bribes without asking when convenient. This causes problem for the next person that refuse to give. |

Barbiturate: Long story!
The normal thing to do is to take the case to court, and not to lock him up for long because you're rich and famous and he's a nobody.
The daughter should get a good lawyer to bail her dad and Sue ned to court Don't be too emotional. Is he the police? The jailed man is not a nobody. He had his own boys working for him and definitely can afford lawyers. I blame our slow court system for his long detention. Blackmail can't resolve criminal cases, only courts can. |

TRADELYN: This is foolishness at its peak. Now, I understand why many Nigerians don't have hope in this country. Most Nigerian leaders are very incompetent. They just go into politics in order to improve their social lives. You are not better than them! Lately, it's alleged that many state governments have been paying ransom secretly to bandits. It's better to save lives and lose money than do otherwise. This is why we don't grow as a country. You want to continue encouraging kidnappers while at the same time want them to stop. You can't have it both ways. The kidnappers would be stupid to stop when they are guaranteed free money and control over their victims. Until the security agencies are able to handle the worsening Insecurity in Nigeria, government at all levels must continue to pay ransom to secure the release of innocent victims. What does the bold mean? When all kidnappers are killed or no more kidnapping? This is myopic. If you think guns only can solve kidnapping, you are wrong. Ransom is the oil for kidnapping, any smart person knows that. Any one who pay ransom secretly to kidnappers should be jailed. |

Harddiskng: Its simple you are not making any enviable progress in life There is nothing enviable about 10 guys sharing one flat unless of course you have been so beaten by poverty that such lifestyle is a luxury to you. Perhaps, you mean the kind of envious life the Ogun state commissioner was living until he got axed. He would have organized protests and call "youths" to defend him if he was in Nigeria. I can remember a friend whose neighbor jokingly threatened to call EFCC on him because he is always at home and seems to have loads of cash. His neighbor got access to his accounts and discovered he has loads of cash or is he keeping the cash in one of his rooms? Why will anyone even care about such talks. Nigerians have been using law enforcement to settle fights. Landlord and tenants and even tenants fights neighbors by making unfounded reports but Yahoo boys seems to think they are special. They saw he bought a new car, started renovating his house; What they didn’t know is that my guy na writer gets contracts from companies on up-work. Baba dey hardly sleep by 3am he is still up. His neighbors could really see. They seems to know everything about him. How strange? EFCC should start their job from the top, Politicians and stop disturbing young destinies. This is what all criminals say to defend themselves. Without EFCC showing international commitment of being anti-fraud, that your supposed writer friend will find it hard feeding himself. |

Go and get a lawyer quickly. This is not a case of extortion or intimidation where activists have a voice. If you are certain your uncle does not belong to a proscribed group, you can even sue the police for damages. However, if he belongs and have been lending material or logistics support to them, he would likely be charged with terrorism. |
