Swap places with Arsenal?
United has won UEFA before in 1999 and went on to win treble in the same year.
So whatz the excitements about?
I wld rather be a sunderland fan than Arsenal.
Barcelona will beat Arsenal blue and i willbe sitting here waiting for u especially.

So what cld have been the reason?
If u watch the past winners of the awards closely, theres calmness and discipline about their performance on the pitch.
Luiz Ronaldo,Zidane and others will win because their contributions for club and country is unequalled.
In those days, Brazil will not survive without Ronaldo. France cannot do without Zidane but they wld not miss Henry.
U got it?

Is Carling cup not competitive?
Although it wasn't years back until Jose rolled out a full arsenal of weapons last season.
It became competitive since then so blame Mourinho it.

Sorry about ur loss to Blackburn.
I told u Blackburn can sting weeks earlier.
U r lucky the points don't count.

What rights have u got to say someone cannot post anywhere he likes?
I have seen Chelsea and Arsenal fans posting on United threads and vice versa.
Its a free world. Everybody is free to say his mind anywhere, anytime.

Why don't u let mukina2 fight for herself? Are u her public address system?
Sports › Re: Who Is Better, Riquelme Or Kaka? by Jackal(m): 6:53pm On May 02, 2006
Riquelme is a better player.

Lets be objective.
Who r Riquelme's teammates at Villareal and who r Kaka's teammates at Milan?
Where a player plays has a way of either boosting his performance or down-playing it.
Etoo wasn't as good as he is when he was at Real Mallorca but with the aid of Dinho, Guily and Deco he has become a legend!

Riquelme is a class. He is not governed by goals and his strength lies in creating killer passes that will wear any defence down.
A player like him is a rare gem and i believe he will be a big key to Argentina's success in Germany.

You cannot compare Kaka and Riquelme at club levels because they play for different clubs with different teammates.

Will Henry score 20 goals in a season for Sunderland?  Hell No!
Will Etoo score 30 goals for West Brom? No
Will Drogba score 25 goals in Etoo's position at Barcelona? Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Anybody can become the top scorer in Germany?
Many strikers will be gracing that tournament and i am tipping Adebayor to score more than 5 goals.

@ Hucarson,
I think England has a way of manipulating Football bodies.
Why give England a concession because of Rooney?
Wld FIFA have done the same to Martins or Mikel Obi?
These peopz never cease to amaze me.
Remember Liverpool's case at UEFA last season too?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: My Fear For Arsenal by Jackal(m): 5:33pm On May 02, 2006
Of course,
If Chelsea had lost, then we will be saying United still has a chance of winning the title.
Chelsea's match against Blackburn wld have been more important than UEFA finals.
The mind games wld have started and the point-gap wld have reduced to 6 with 2 matches left to play.

@ Akola,
I will be glad if u can post such thread today.
U will cry for ur team cos i have a long list of Mourinho's mis-buys and their worth.
Don't forget the time factor will also be included.
The total net worth of the mis-buys will be divided by the number of years.
U will gape at the stats.
Bring it on!

They r kool.
The season has ended for most of 'em United fans.
Don't get it twisted. Man Utd fans didnt boycott Nairaland because of the 3-0 rout.
United fans dont have the urge to comment here cos the season has ended. If the match had ended 0-0,it wld have been the same for most of us.
Theres no point crying over a spilt milk.

Don't u ever wish to ban the use of F word. The word makes the world go round.
Especially in a thread where some people just spew bollocks and blasphemies.

@ Wormedup,
Nairalanders know u r a chelski fan. U joined Chelsea 2 weeks ago so no one reckons with ur rants here.
The only Chelsea fan here seems to be Akola. He has taken the sticks, assaults and counter-assaults and he stood his grounds.

What we r saying here is United playing a goalless draw with Boro is not a bad result.
Boro has played some good football this season and they r simply giant-beaters.
I dunno why Prisscy n goons are capitalising on such a match.
United def'ly has nuthing to play for after the weekend's defeat to Chelsea.

Let Gunners face their problems. United and Chelsea has won s'thing already this season.
Arsenal should focus and reduce the huge point deficit btw them and Man Utd/Chelsea.
Bunch of losers.

@Sirkay,
U cannot be more right.
United fought with all tey have got but the Midfield won the match for Chelsea. O' Shea and Giggs were no match for Essien and Makelele and the rest was history.
Chelsea deserved the match hands down and i hope it will be different next season.
Congrats to the Blues.

Congrats!
The match was won in the MIDFIELD.
Man Utd looked deficient in this area and Jose capitalised on it.
It was always gon' be difficult for the Reds.
A well-deserved victory for the Blues.
We shall be back next season though.
Have fun!

@ nightrider,
Oooooooooooooooooops ma bad!
U should see her 1st sentence. She crossed the gun-line and i had to give it to her nicely.

Anyways, which of the pro-evos did u get? 4 or 5?
Pro-Evolution is better graphically. Have u not seen opposing players squaring up to beat each other?
U should see Rooney trying to punch John Terry or Makelele? Its so real. The makers of the game can't be more right.
Chelsea and Man Utd are ma favourite teams here but Milan has the highest rating i think.
Arsenal is also thick with Reyes and Pires always causing chaos around defences and Henry scores anywhere in front of the box.

P.S. This game is so addictive. U will find scoring very difficult at first but ur love for the game should mae things easier for u.
My mates come in everyday to challenge me but i always thrash em.
Enjoy ur game bro!

@ La-vivi,
Its rather appaling that a gal like u cannot see beyond ur freckled nose.
I can understand ur love and patriotism for ur club but we have to be objective when discussing matters like this.
U dont need to be a rocket scientist to know Barca holds all the four aces in this match.
Some school of thoughts say this is football and one should always expect the unexpected but its a big ASK for the young gunners.
It's like saying Rwanda will beat Brazil in a world cup final. Do the math?
Villareal is 10th in la liga and Arsenal only went past them by the skin of their teeth. There's no way the gunners can upset Barca let alone, beat them.
U even erred by saying the Gunners kept a clean sheet in the group stage. Clean sheets? It's either u dont understand the word clean sheet or u r just a soccer illiterate. Ajax scored against the Gunners at Amsterdam and FC Thun scored at highbury so whats ur definition of a clean sheet?
I will appreciate it if soccer illiterates stop misinforming the public with their malicious and daft comments.

Wenger is an excellent coach. He cld have done better if he's got more players to shuffle around but i still insist he has got no plan B.
The fact that he got to UCL finals does not mean he is better than the ones who didnt make it there.
Read between the lines.
Sports › Re: Which Team Will Win 2005/2006 Premiership Season? by Jackal(m): 12:07pm On Apr 27, 2006
Its not about the formation.
All young gunners look up to Henry for guidance on the pitch.
U must have seen Henry's disapproval sometimes when u dont give him a pass. Henry behaves childish sometimes on the pitch the way he criticises his fellow team-mates.
No doubt, Henry is a very outstanding player but he should realise Rome wasn't built in a day. These young guns r just coming up and one should expect a certain degree of inconsistency in their play.
Its Wenger's fault. He is too monotonous. If his plans work well, his team can devour opponents 7-0 and if his plans turn sour,Wenger does not do enough to change things. This is where Jose, Fergie and Rafa Benitez have the edge.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Host Manchester United On April 29! by Jackal(m): 11:52am On Apr 27, 2006
@ Prisscy,
I must agree with u that Ronaldo is inconsistent but he gets serious against big teams.
He is a nightmare to any defence on his day. Lauren and Ashley Cole can attest to this.
Have u seen the SkySports' advert on this match? U need to see it.
The guy goes: The Blues are planning to celebrate but guess who's coming to dinner: Man United,The Party Wreckers!
Trust me, Man Utd is the last team Chelski will want to face especially on a day when u want to celebrate.
Man Utd to pip chelsea 2-1.
I still tip Ronaldo and Rooney to do tha damage.

@ Skintite,
Its obvious Chelsea will win the league but Man Utd is determined to delay the party for another few days.
Cheers bro!

@nightrider,
What makes u think it's gon' be a home game for Arsenal?
The whole world is coming to see Ronaldinho and Etoo. Parisans have seen enough of Thierry Henry!
No formation of Wenger can tear Barcelona apart. Wenger is a manager that has no plan B.
Arsenal stands a better chance against Milan than Barca.
Barca is too deadly and will feast on the gunners like a vulture.
Its going to be an entertaining match and the young Gunners will work their socks off but Barca will win 3-0.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Barcelona Fc Vs Arsenal Fc ( 2005/2006 Uefa Champions League Final) by Jackal(m): 9:38am On Apr 27, 2006
Arsenal to thrash Barca?
Pls lets be objective. The English Premiership's finest cannot take down Barcelona, let alone Arsenal.
I was highly impressed by Barcelona's character and discipline in the defence yesterday. Barca was able to contain a ravaging Milan side who fought tooth and nail throughout the match.
How wld Arsene Wenger contend with Barca's 3 prong attack of Dinho, Etoo and Guily?
4-5-1 formation wld be thrown to the wind cos its a final match where the Gunners wld want to score.
I dont see Kolo Toure/Senderos/Campbell stopping these Wizards of Catalonia.
If Ronaldinho thinks John Terry is too slow for him,i wonder what he wld say about Campbell or Kolo Toure?
This match will be a replica of Real Madrid V Valencia FC in 2000.
My Prediction: Barca 3-0 Arsenal.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Barcelona Fc Vs Arsenal Fc ( 2005/2006 Uefa Champions League Final) by Jackal(m): 12:06am On Apr 27, 2006
Barcelona 0-3 Arsenal?

Maybe After Ronaldinho dies and Etoo retires and Guily is injured.
I dont see any team in Europe that can contend with this strike force.
They r simply the best in the world. They made Milan look so ordinary and they should have won at Nou Camp.
Arsenal only has a chance of winning if the match stretches to penalty shoot-outs.

We r attacking Mourinho cos his £400m empire can only win him a title that its still being contested with Man United.
Whatz the point of buying expensive players only to be kept on the bench.
Shawn Wright Phillips stands a better chance of going to Germany if he had joined Arsenal or remained in Man City than joining the blues.
Have u ever taken an account of the amount of millions that warms chelski's bench week in,week out?
Its sheer waste of money and human resources. Mourinho aint a good manager and most of his buys have been questionable.
The success he thrives on was built by the sweats of Ranieri who laid a good foundation.
The major performers in Chelsea's ranks today were Ranieri's buys. The list goes from Cech, Robben, Gallas, Lampard, Makelele, Crespo, Duff and Joe Cole.

These are Mourinho's buys:
Carvallho is a mediocre.
Ferreira is just ok
Kezman was disappointing.
Shawn Wright Phillips hasn't been discovered/developed yet.
Essien is excellent.
Maniche is a waste of space.
Drogba has been disappointing as a striker(A striker shld be getting 20 goals or more in a season)
Del Horno is the biggest flop in the squad

Do the math? Is he a good manager?
