Change of goal post. You generalzied, saying 'maybe Dutch league isnt competitive enough'. Now narrowing it down to Nigerians only. |
Great. And Desola, no 2, is already on the way. |
Great response there, Tanimola |

While we dont have problem with investigative and scandal-revealing threads, it should be done civilly. Throwing of insults arounds, bypassing filtered words in the process, is against forum rule. Thread locked. |

Thanks for the generous remarks. Check your inbox. |
Dutch league not competitive? The same league that produced Ronaldo de Lima, Van Nistelrooy that later went on to conquer other bigger leagues? If he does well in Eredivisie, he should do at least averagely in bigger leagues, even if he doesn't become a Superstar. I see him at least becoming a Salomon Kalou that did well in Eredivisie with Feyenoord and not badly in EPL later. |
Ronaldinho? Are you in 2004? |
The Lion of Africa deserves it. |
To plan is man's but to dispose is Allah's. I was on my way to the Iftar from my Ajah base but my car broke down at Ikoyi, as I was close to climbing 3rd mainland bridge. What I thought will be fixed in 10 minutes took more than 2 hours, forcing me to head back home after the repair. Jazakumullahu khaeran to Majoroller for this wonderful gesture of sponsoring this event. May Allah in his infinite mercies shower his blessings on and multiply your wealth. To all the attendees, we thank you for heeding our invitation. May we witness more Ramadan on earth, in good health and under the shade of Islam. See you all again next year insha Allah. |
Kobojunkie:I endorse this. True, he has a not-so-enviable past, but he has promised in the thread Nairalanders challenged that he is now a changed person. This is an opportunity for you to redeem your image and prove that your seeking power is not just for the sake of it but to make changes, real impact. My regards to your Finance Commissioner too (Zacheus), one year my senior in OAU. |
Even though winning an accounting quiz competition is not a big deal, I will say kudos to my alma mater. |
Allahumo inaka fuwum tuhibul afwah fahafuanah = Oh Allah, you'rethe one that forgives, pls forgive us Warifanohu mokanan haliyah = May you continue to soar high mar'haba bikum ya Rahmadan = Welcome, oh holy month of Ramadan. |
Robana latuzigi kulubanna badahiz adaitana wahablana min ladun karahmatan = Our lord, do not make us go astray after you have guided us aright |
Dat one no be Yoruba na; na Arabic. As a muslim, however, with my basic arabic, let me attempt a translation of the familiar words: wajasahum = ? (saum means fasting, so maybe a derivative of 'fasting') bimo = with sobarun = the Patient one janata = Paradise wahriran = Hereafter |

Start with ICAN. It affords you a wider spectrum. Few people write CIS first, most CIS holders I know are also Chartered Accountants, who wrote CIS after their ICAN qualification. My brother wrote his ICAN first, got a job in an Investment banking group, later did CIS and moved to their stockbroking unit. Although he is an FCA today, he is today a career stockbroker first before an Accountant, using his CIS more than ICAN certificate, and now CEO of that stockbroking subsidiary. Also, as fresh graduate, ICAN is a better route to start professional qualifications. Without some practical knowledge, some things in CIS may sound greek to you, and the syllabus is also more loaded than ICAN. But after going thru ICAN, you would have been refined and positioned to sit for other Finance professional exams and gained more experience in handling them. And, I personally think CIS is tougher than ICAN, and past experience with a professional exam will lessen it. Dont forget again that with ICAN, the opportunities are also wider. |
More of culture, and less of politics pls. Moved. |
Much as I understand the poster's frustration, I have a problem with his temperament. |
