I think he just ended the chain of sorrow that befell the family of the boy he killed. The victim was a childhood friend and was truly doing his best to sustain! His father died in sorrow 4 years ago and his mum is yet to recover!

News just filtered in on this couple, the guy involved has passed!
The girl called to inform us he had an accident a month ago and was in a coma. He came round and seemed to be recovering, unfortunately it's not so.
This girl called and said they had separated (as usual) and the words she said before hanging up the phone shows the true nature of what the relationship was all about.
She said "I pity this boy"
So...people, when making choices be honest and true, and careful too. Cheers.

Brethren! Today is the burial of the guy I mentioned above and guess what? The lady isn't going...she has "other commitments" she explained.

I am not from a well to do home. Dad had 3 wives and each wife had to take care of her kids feeding and all. So it happened that after I gained admission into a polytechnic things were so tough. I survived writing Jamb and waec for students. One faithful weekend I came home cos I was dead broke. No food, no money on me except my fare back to school.
I saw mum and explained to her that I hadn't eaten since the previous day and that I borrowed the money I used for fare. She brought out 1k and started crying. She said even at home that there was no food and that 1k was the last money on her, that I should have it.
I was so touched seeing her cry. I just asked her to keep the money and that somehow i would manage at school. I went back to school and I lived off some friends for a while. Though she's passed on, that singular event still remain fresh in my memory.

Looking back to what’s mom went through since we lost dad, hmmmmmn, even though I was so young, and all, it was so tough, she lost the house she built to LASG, she quit her Chemist work to do series of menial job just to feed 4kids, sometimes if I look back and realize what’s she has been through, I ask myself can I go through this?, mahn, she is so STRONG, She preached LOVE, because in her words “if I remarry, where will I keep you guys”?, still she went through this all alone, thou it’s not been easy, she got some SPECIAL place in my heart forever, and I hope she live long to eat the fruits of her labor,... Aaaah...mine are a dating couple. They fight to finish, lady will curse and cuss...tell the guy to return all the cash she loaned him, she'll then take Uber and return to her father's house...3 weeks later, she go return, smiling! It happened 3 times, and since I moved to the place, she became familiar with my wife, each time they fight she comes crying to our apartment.
Last fight I witnessed was bloody! Broken glass, windows and plates! She threatened the guy with a knife. I stepped in and separated them tactfully. I advised her to go back to her dad...as I saw her to the cab I asked why she would say her guy should die only for her to later desire his d.ick. she laughed. Anyway I spoke to the guy thinking I was doing a good thing, cos I advised him to stay away from her for a while to gather his thoughts...I was a fool...the guy turned out to dislike me!
Anyway, I've moved out from there... but I know they're still together!
