my uncle fell ill and battled for a while before succumbing to the illness. He was a teacher and his children desired he be buried in a tool of his trade, a BIRO!
Also on display are some cultural attributes of our people Ashanti region.
On the morning of the funeral, as early as 5am the wailing begins and thats the aspect that really pushes your emotions!
then a service is conducted especially if the deceased is a christian before internment at about noon.
The family then sits at a large open place to recieve condolences from visitors who also contribute to the family in cash as a way of support.

I don't have any pet but there's a lady who owns one in the church I attend. The dog comes to Church with her sits outside and follows her back home. The same dog follows her as far as the bus station when she's going out which is almost a kilometer from her home! He then goes back home when she's boarded! This one isn't any foreign breed o! Local dog!!! It really amazes me!!!

I read it and it brought tears to my eyes, nostalgia filled me because it brought memories of how simple the world was before the advent/explosion of higher technology.
I still have the letters my then fiancée and I wrote to each other dating 1996-1998 and anytime she annoys me I read them and my anger cools.
Love was and is still the cement that keeps us going!
Hope your dad still reads this letter and hope your mom is still as calm and loving as indicated in the letter!
Hope you also will learn from them and bring your family up in true love...
