There is just something about gionee phones, when you use it, you just don't feel like dropping or retiring it except to get a higher one.

I just called my colleague and he told me that the seller now has the ear piece in stock. I won't be going to Ikeja anytime soon because I am busy with some work at Tincan. I can't remember. I buy quality earpiece from one guy that imports at computer village. The one I buy is 'magnet ear piece' he sells around 1k wholesale price. I now use my gionee "follow come" ear piece and my madam uses my old infinix hot4 lite with the manget ear piece. I didn't use the infinix ear piece for once due to its poor quality.

Go to settings, go to cellular network, select more, select the sim you use for browsing, select preferred network type, 4G,/3G/2G AUTO, 3G/2G, 3G only, 2G only.

Thats good. I experienced hotness with my former phone (hot4 lite) which I haven't experienced with this phone. My battery performance is super excellent. As long as my phone is on, my data (always on 3G only) is always on. It persforms a bit better than my previous phone despite both of them being 4000mAh. Gionee don't lie about their spec, what is advertised is what you get. I am yet to see a phone with same specs for a lesser price. Do you use the remote control function on your phone?

Also, I just observed that from 39%, the phone got warmer and the battery drop increased sharply. From 1% every 7 minutes to 1% every 4 minutes. Same with yours?

My own battery start to drop sharply from around 10% but it doesn't get hot.

Yeah it's no longer hot. Since morning till now. Superb battery right now. As for the interface, I use Nova launcher on mine (pics below). As for notifications, mine is under lock and I set the notifications under settings so I don't currently have that problem you have. You should check your settings

The NOVA interface is cool. I will adjust my notifications settings.

Since today it has been a different story. Yesterday I drained the battery and started charging it afresh all night. Woke up this morning and the battery efficiency has been superb. Damn!
I believe the old power in the phone wasn't real or something else, cos I just got the phone on Monday evening.

I no longer root my phones. Regarding the battery, gionee has superb battery (at least the ones I have used) my own battery last too. How about the hotness, is there any noticable improvement?
The default gionee interface to me is ugly. I downloaded the infinix launcher from playstore use the APPLE theme. I also downloaded one font like that from gionee theme park. I wished the phone comes with inadvertent mode like the infinix hot 4 I used whereby as long as the phone is in your pocket, if messages or notification enters your phone, it won't leave the lockscreen mode but this phone sometimes presses against my lap when in my jeans pocket and it just operates itself.
The pros far outweighs the cons sha.

Mine gets hot. I use the global version too and just got it yesterday. That's my major issue with it,as hotness makes it lose battery faster. I even put it on power saver mode. Or is there a setting I'm not doing?

I'm assuming you use your transparent case on yours, right?

I know gionee won't release updates to take care of these issues. Lol.

Mine doesn't get hot and I don't use power saver mode. I also use my transparent case.
