I'm looking to get both an earphone and a headphone. I really need something nice,cost effective and with good quality. Was initially looking between the Rock Zircon and Xiaomi Piston for the earphone. But the reviews I'm getting are confusing hence my bringing it here. l also came across the Xiaomi Hybr8d Pro/HD. Any reviews?

I'd really need your advice on this.

One thing we should all understand is that all over the world, quality education, health and security is EXPENSIVE. That is why even in capitalist countries, the government still has to subsidize these sectors to make it AFFORDABLE (NOT CHEAP).

The reason why public institutions are affordable is because they are subsidized. We can also see how the standard of education in public institutions have been steadily falling. This pattern is obviously not working and something needs to be done about it. Just like comparing the"free" government primary schools to the better equipped and run private institution.

Even the NUC (National University Commission) has come to agree that the future of tertiary education in Nigeria is in private hands which I must say is sad even though it's the truth.

Some may talk about mission schools in the past. What they fail to understand is that they were subsidized by their parent churches which have run for hundred of years and with deep pockets. Besides, this universities are not solely mission outposts

In summary, what I'm saying is that running those universities to standard costs real money which must be recouped.

I strongly disagree with you. Such a disability shouldn't hinder one from achieving his/her dreams. Moreso it can be corrected. Even in medicine, people with various disabilities have risen to the top of the profession. That's the beauty of a developed society.
He should be applauded. some people with similar issues have resorted to begging in the streets but he has pushed his way through and he'd be a source of inspiration to many disabled people we have around.

Been using it for over 4 months now. Crazy good, sleek, fast with super excellent battery backup. My charger rarely leaves my home now and on some days, I don't bother charging despite being a heavy user.

I have lost count of how many times people walk up to me and ask which phone it is and how to get it.
I must also add that the initial Chinese done Global ROM had connectivity issues but this was later rectified via an update

This is really funny and looks like a paid post. You should learn to give credit where due and criticise constructively.

While I wouldn't hold brief for any politician, most of your post lacks a basis. Ask anyone in the know about happenings in Anambra before, during and after Obi's tenure. Fact is that while virtually no state in Nigeria can boast of truly world class roads, Obi did a lot in improving the road network of state owned roads in Nigeria. Today Anambra has one of the best network of Stare owned roads in the country and that is due to the continuum from Ngige to Obi. He had a plan and went about it judiciously.

Secondly, the current state teaching hospital was built by Obi. This was a huge improvement over what was obtainable previously. Currently, the hospital is used as a training center for students and professionals alike.

You're trying to belittle his efforts in putting up savings for the state is another one. If half of the governors in Nigeria had governors that could take their states from debts to savings of 75 billion after their tenure, Nigeria wouldn't have had the last economic woes where majority of states couldn't pay salaries and needed to be bailed out

you keep mentioning world class this and that.... Mention any state in Nigeria including the FCT that has a world class standard of any of those things you mentioned above.

Also, while personally I support separation of powers and strengthening of the local governments, looking at Nigeria today, its hard to fault him on what he did. The greatest corruption takes place at the local government level as there is virtually no accountability there. What we should be asking for is strengthening of the system with delegated responsibilities for the LGs.

Like him or hate him, Obi is an economic guru. He earned his bragging rights before getting into politics and it's virtually impossible for someone with such economic knowhow not to be doing well for him self. That his businesses are flourishing is testament to his ethics. Afterall, the typical Nigerian governor would have siphoned the 75billion to himself and borrowed more too.


Finally while I may have some issues with Peter Obi, I give him credit where its due and recognise him as one of the best governors Nigeria has produced.

A civil society group, the Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism in Nigeria (CATE) has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to quit playing politics with fallen national heroes.

Ahead of the 2019 elections, the opposition appears hell bent on dragging the ruling party to the mud – despite a recent pre-dusk raid on 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Borno State.

The group made this known in a press statement signed by its National Coordinator, Gabriel Onoja.

According to CATE, the PDP is trying too hard to undermine the remarkable progress of the Nigerian military under the current dispensation which has helped to push Boko Haram to fringes of the Lake Chad only.

CATE expresses its condolences to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Military and the families and loved ones of the departed soldiers but is of the view that their memory should not be desecrated by those turning their sacrifices into campaign barbs.

“We specifically refer to the statements issued by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. They both only stopped short of mocking the fallen soldiers by the utterances and misrepresentation of facts contained in their responses to the attack and the resulting deaths.

I've finally been able to solve the network issue with my mi max 3 that equally plagued most earlier bought devices that had the unofficial global ROM installed.

The MIUI 10 update which is available via OTA at about 765MB solves it. So no need of flashing the Chinese ROM. Quite a relief

Firstly, we're talking about a president who dodged his presidential debate and has never had a live presidential chat with the local media- something which should be done monthly. He set out by gallivanting around the world and only granting exclusive reviews to foreign media when outside the country forgetting about the local media. Maybe he thought that way he could sustain the propaganda by foreign news outlets who brought him to power. He perhaps thought foreigners would be involved in voting. However of recent they've seen him for who he truly is and have been dragging him and his so called integrity on the floor. He now remembers the local media when he's already sinking. Shows a man with slow thought process.

He should start by organising a live presidential media chat. But I'm sure he's handlers wouldn't allow him or they'd insist he should answer questions from a book because he's sure to make more bigoted and explosive statements whenever he speaks without being told what to say

Secondly, he has to perform at least to an extent so that the media outfits have something to constantly report. But here we're talking about a disaster of a man who twice pushed Nigeria into the greatest recession she has ever seen. Even his paid BMC crew are finding it hard to Photoshop his already battered image. Hence, most times they resort to insults.

Just look at how they're throwing personal attacks at Atiku instead on focusing on telling the electorates what their master has achieved.

Fact is that now that he's desperate, he'd start throwing tax payers money around in a bid to salvage his drowning image.

You're quite wrong. The average health indices for Nigeria is quite poor. The number of Nigerian children that die of malaria and diarrhoea or women dying as a result of complications in pregnancy is staggering especially compared to a lot of nations.

just so sad... saw this news on front page and had to call my parents in ungwan Sunday area in Kaduna... they told me of a man I know very well, who went to kasuwa magani on that faithful day and till date no one have heard from him, the dreaded truth is just that he might as well be a victim. his phone is switched off.
I wouldn't blame the people for any reprisal attack. the government should be more proactive, these senseless killings just have to stop.

After three days of the incident and no response, the bitter truth may be that he was a casualty.

Then the next day, a prominent traditional ruler is waylayed and kidnapped. The thing they could do is a declaration of a curfew after casualties were well into the hundreds
The annoying thing is that almost all the bodies were agile young men. Also all were mutilated and cut absurdly with matchets like they were animals. It was something I had never seen before in my life. A gory sight.

In all these, it was rumoured that the police stood bye and watched the killings which were obviously preplanned until the villagers gathered to protect themselves, that was when they stepped in. Then they now come to deny the deaths.
Left to me, the market should be closed for the time being.

The issue is that this started towards the evening. From experience of similar occurrences, no one can predict what would happen at night. That's when most killings take place. More so, Kaduna town has too many hot zones and it's difficult to bring calm once it has escalated. For now, the curfew has not been fully effected and people are still moving though carefully.
It's by tomorrow that the security agencies may really control the issue
