When u compared d apps on BB d& androids, u'd see android apps r better, more cost effective & cheaper. Like i said, i used d two. I used to have 2 buy my BB apps but since i upgraded 2 android I've not bought and app yet cos almost all sold app on android have free versions. Checking a woman's pregnancy u mentioned in BB, I know d app and used it too. Its finer on android, oh and also faster. Look just go for android and u won't regret it.

Dada-Stephen:
The bad thing about Nigerians is that we are only consumers of gadgets but ignoramuses when it comes to its know how.
Its not a good thing to compare BlackBerry with any Nokia or Java phone.
Blackberries save u a lot of cash for data subscription.
You can use a BlackBerry to check a woman's pregnancy status
You can use your BlackBerry GPS to locate anywhere
Have you used the BlackBerry password keeper?
The sound record portion of the BlackBerry was made for journalists and musicians, even if u whisper,it picks it loud and clear.
There are more other useful and dangerous things you could do with the BB that other phones cannot do but won't be revealed to you for some reasons. You have to research and not just talk the BB down.
Its a tool and not just a phone
Hahahaha

Trust me, I love BBs especially cos of their cheap data cost but you post got me laughing hard.

Infact I was just glancing through posts but when I saw yours, I couldn't resist replying.
The funny thing is that you claim to know alot. Please what are those 'dangerous' things?

tbaba1234: There is no such thing in Islam, The only people we hear about 72 virgins from are non-muslims... Most learned muslims have no idea what you are talking about. The only narration that has something of this nature is a fabricated one and is not taken seriously by muslims..

It seems you guys are more willing to tell us about our faith than learn about it.
Man I don't want to get into this religious stuff so this might be my last post here. Every man to his belief

Well I grew up in the North and have alot of Muslim friends and they all believe in the 72 virgin stuff. As a kid, I got to know about it from Muslims.
The funny thing is the way they qualify it- 'de masu nono nono a jiki' (literarily meaning with breastt breastt all over). Though I later got to know it meant fully breasted.
Try telling an average Hausa Muslim that its not true and watch his reaction.

Out of curiosity I read about it sometime ago and just like most controversial stuff in Islam, you find that the Arab Muslims believe it and the Western Muslims (apologists) find a way of twisting it. Here they said the passage was referring to dates (fruits).
I had to look up the original quotes in the Hadith (I think). That was where I saw the fully breasted stuff and from the various descriptions, it was clear the passage was referring to a woman.

But again it got me thinking. Why do Western Muslims try to cover parts of Islam they don't find pleasing? Just like the age Aisha was when she married. They prefer to extrapolate through History just to prove she was over 16 forgetting that she herself stated that she was only 9.

Like I said, its been long I checked it up online and so the details are not clear in my head but the message is.
I don't have the strength for an argument on religion. The net is free for all.

walcolm: i dont know where you read or watched your review. the complaint about the GSIII i have heard talked about in review has to do wit the fact that the body is made of glossy, plastic material. not a single one about it not feeling comfortable and natural when you hold it

i have seen lots of iPhone4S. Iphone5 is only just taller, thinner without a corresponding upscale in width
the Nokia Lumia 920 design is the same as the Lumia 800 with difference only in dimensions. it even has a glossier finish than the GSIII and its all angular. those sharp edges will chip off with use
the Motorola is just plain ugly because it has nothing catchy about its design

i'll take the GSIII over them design-wise any day. your choice is your own
Like you said, its your choice. A very very rare one I must say.

For me, design and build-wise, the SIII is a distant third among the three.
The choice will be between the iPhone and the lumia.

SimonAndal: Add 7k to that your 25k and buy a Samsung Galaxy Ace. It's an android phone and is waaaaay better than all these "crappy" suggestions.
First, the op asked for a symbian phone. If you wanted to recommend an android device you should have done that without calling other peoples post crappy.

Secondly, recommending a low-end android device to someone is something I never do. As far as low-end android device is concerned, what you get is more of a buggy annoying device.

So the delusion of 'its an android phone' doesn't apply in any way to the cheaper devices. Symbian on the other hand gives much better performance on lower specs. Someone buying a phone of about 25k knows what to expect.

I said Nokia 500 because I am absolutely sure that Nokia 500 will provide a much more better user experience in almost every way than the galaxy ace.

Well I think I've derailed this thread enough. Let me leave it for those interested in the product at hand.

Personally I think the really big thing is Microsoft Surface.

No my broda (or sista) I don't think market will spoil because those that want iPhone 5 on day of release no bi my mouth or yours fit remove their mind.

Me and my peeps are sleeping outside Apple on Thursday nite to get them on Friday, jump on a plane and be in my office Saturday morning for the lucky few that want them.
I said Lumia 900 which has been released for over 6 months now. I just want to use it to gauge when 920 may become available here.
BTW 920 is scheduled for release next month not next year.

Safe journey to you and your peeps. There sure will be willing buyers though none has showed up yet.

I would rather use that money to get the Lumia 920 and galaxy note 2 or better still the Lumia and Microsoft Surface tablet when they become available.
Those interested can carry on with it.

Just to chip in, the best way to gauge the beauty of a phone is by actually seeing it or asking those who have used it.
The online picture of every phone out there looks beautiful.
When it comes to the GSIII, alot of users and reviews as well have complained about its looks and feel.
I haven't seen anyone referring to the iPhone 5 or Lumia 920 as not being awesome look and feel-wise. The only complain about the Lumia is that its shiny. Nokia has said that the good thing is that it does not fade and scratches are easily hidden cos the material used below is thesame as that untop unlike aluminium which makes scratches easily visible or plastic which feels meh

The best symbian phone you can get for that price range is Nokia 500. Not only is it the most current in that range but it runs symbian Belle which is several generations ahead of and way way better than S60V3 and S60V5 which is what you get on the lower C and E series.
Spec-wise, its also above its contemporaries. Here is a link to the spec page: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_500-4085.php

You should have asked how it stacks against the iPad. This is a phone the other is a phablet.
For now, very little is known of WP8 just that some previous limitations of WP7 have been addressed and it should be better than WP7 which BTW was good.
That said, they both have respectable hardware.
PhonesRe: Nokia Lumia 920...finally A Smartphone From Nokia That Can Compete! by jedisco(m): 11:44am On Sep 16, 2012
bigbrovar: Yeah Much good it did the x1 and the L900 before it. And like you noted about the superLCD Nokia is not the first to ship this tech. Might be marginally better than competition but its not something mind blowing as the way super amoled+ was with the sgs2 which completely out classed the existing competition when it was released.

Again playing catch with the hi res
Screen Game screen density gets to a certain point when it stop making a different anyway yes the Lumia has a slightly higher screen density than the iPhone Which is a great improvement for Nokia but again its a move which brings them inline with the current norm.

And of cause companies don't go over board in hyping their product at press releases .. one would have to wait till its released to get the verdict on that.

yaaarn that was the reaction this feature got on twitter as I was following the event. Cool feature to have no doubt.. but is this enough to get someone off the iphone? I doubt. Yes its a feature which would gladden anyone already out to get the lumia and who happens to leave in the cold region of the world.. not one to make anyone get of their iPhone/Android

Wireless charging is still generally (like nfc) a niche unless and until the wireless charger is included in the retail box for the device then it will continue to be something u tick in your specs check list. Even with that I have lost count of how many device have that on their spec sheet atm. Again Nokia is playing catch up to what already exist. How good their iteration of these features (which have become standard components of most smart phones nowadays) are in the real world is yet to be seen.

3) even it that turns out true I doubt this is possible. Android totally rules that space now.. any Chinese company can download the android source and slam it on a $50 Hardware while Techno, zte and Even samsung and others totally dominate the =>$70 Phone segment. Neither Wp8 nor Nokia can compete that low Both are too rigid. They are android devices that cost cheaper than Nokia s40 low budget phones.

In all the L920 is a good phone on paper. It features a great camera something which has been the trademark of Nokia since forever. But u get the feeling this device is a year late. It would have been different if it was released even before the galaxy s2 or at least around that time for it to have blown people's mind away.. all the buzz words like retina and wireless charging LTE and a 4.5 screen that super responsive would have won it phone of 2011 (same goes for wp8) even it shipped wp7 it would have been future proof. Imagine if the L920 had been the L900 and sold at $99? This was why the reception to the announcement was lukewarm at best. even Nokia shares lost close to 10 % value during the announcement and more when no release date was announced. It shows how less impressed the general world and even Nokia's share holders were.
Your post reeks of pessimism.
You say the phone is playing catchup and is late for 2012. I think the phone is even early for 2012.

This phone has :
* The best screen currently in terms of pixel density, outdoor clarity, design (curved), refresh rate. Mind you the high pixel density on lumias will be very important than other phones mainly cos of the way the UI is with large texts and tiles. This totally eliminates pixelated images.
* The best camera on a major flagship (808 wasn't major)
* will always be among the top three in terms of design and beauty.
* Next gen tech like NFC and wireless charging. Atleast it won't be outdated when those stuff become popular.
* Super sensitive touchscreen.

These are areas where it has bettered current flagships. Where it has not done that it has proved to be comparable.
Spec-wise, this phone is head and shoulders above anyother phone available now and any open minded person changing a phone and is aware of it will Seriously give it a thought.

So my question is what else does this phone need to be a 2012 phone?

WP doesn't need to sell $70 phones to become successful. Apple rakes in 75% of smartphone and tablet profits. I haven't heard of a $70 apple phone.
It would be atrocious to think Samsung makes much profit by selling those very cheap phones. Afterall, Nokia has consistently sold over 70 million feature phones for the past 3 quarters while still recording losses.
Even in the low range aspect, the Asha range is doing very very well. The only phone bringing in profit for Nokia.

You said the reception was lukewarm at best? I say the reception was great.
This is a phone that controls 2-3% in major markets and runs an OS that has disappointed its users over and over again. To make matters worse it was released just a week before the iPhone and yet its got so much media attention. Tell me how much better it would have performed?
Tell me which other phone has generated so much hype based on hardware alone with little or no information about the software?
95% of people talking good about the phone use other OSes. Tell me how many android or ios users you have seen come out openly to praise the other flagship?

The fall in share price was due to no information on release date which is excusable considering the little time Nokia had to make the phone. The share prices have since recovered in reaction to its good reception. Moreover using share prices to judge phones is too simplistic.

Thanks man.
Search for 'Mee Bible' and 'Bible' in Nokia store. They're both free
'Bible' has a brown icon and is more aesthetically pleasing but its only one version.
'Mee Bible' is written in Qt and is also nice. The good thing is that it has several very popular versions. Not only that, it also offers indigenous languages like Efik, Igbo e.t.c all for free. (A screenshot is on the 2nd page of the link below)

If you're looking for a good Bible app then I suspect you might be lacking some good apps also. Check this link for some quality apps and also feel free to contribute: https://www.nairaland.com/982104/favourite-symbian-3-apps-anna

Chykenet: Please people i need some advise or clearness. I got this N8 newly and it was running on old OS and i updated it to symbian Anna via the phone but i heard about the new update (symbian Belle refresh) so i wanted to update it again via the phone but it say 'update thru pc' so i gave it to a friend who did the update for me today(through flashing) but i found out that it is not the new belle refresh i got. I got version (111.030.0609)

so my question is,

1. what the difference between the symbian Os i got with the Belle refresh OS

2. From my version of software, is it the belle refresh that is online to upgrade... or is there another update before the belle refresh.

3. If anyone had really tried and succeeded in updating to belle refresh in Nigeria and the difference between the old and the new belle refresh.

4. And lastly, whats the current price of N8 my babe is disturbing ...saying she likes the phone.. I got mine from my bro outside.

Thanks. I really appreciate any answer to these Questions.

Good Bless
Gud day

1. For the difference. Check this ( http://mynokiablog.com/2012/08/27/video-gallery-nokia-belle-refresh-on-n8-full-changelog/ ). The changelog (new stuff added is fully listed.

2. You are currently using Belle. So Belle refresh is the next update available for you.

3. Although my phone won't get the update (as it already has something similar), I think its already available for users in Nigeria. All you've got to do is open the 'SW update' app from your phone. Allow it to search for available updates, click on the selected update for it to install. Make sure your battery is not too low.

4. From slot ( www.slotlimited.com ) the price is about #55,000. You may also feel free to check up other Nokia symbian phones.

timpaker: i did as instucted sir and the screen is back and running (i pray it doesn't return to its miserable ways)

@Timparker
Let me explain this resets to u further boss.

Now to answer your question,

Like i said above, only your calendar and call logs will be removed plus all the settings restored back to default. all other data remains the same (Contacts, files and documents etc) as this is the Restore short code (Soft Reset) and not ''Delete Data & Restore'' But i dont think this is a solution to your touchscreen freezing issue cos am sure it is caused by an app u installed.

This is what i advice;
Normally i will say Do a Hard Reset, then a 3 key Reset for a clean formated device, but if you can't go through the stress of having to download Store, All QT components etc one by one then just do the HARD RESET (*#7370#) but make sure u backup your data as said earlier
U should hav a perfect phone after this, but take time in monitoring each app u install after this to know which app freezes your touch UI

Also note that too many accelerated apps on your bootdata could freeze your device, u can install Netqin Antivirus, Tap SYS OPTIMISATION-BOOT ACCELERATION and uncheck which apps u don't use often to free up RAM & Processing space for your device to boot faster.
Best of luck Bro.

I've done the above especially the netqin antivirus thang, I equally did disabled some unused apps from the fone and from the ''boot accelaration''- then lasted i discovered the useless apps that has been causing all these mayhem on my phone, the apps is ''whataspps sendUI'' with about 6kb.. It usually appears on the phone without recourse prompting me to install.

Once again, thanks to Jedisco and Temmy.m3 for your prompt and invaluable help.
Cheers! (though, i'm most likely to sell it and buy a nokia lumia wp8 or a samsung galaxy S3)
You're welcome. Hope it also behaves itself.

I have also experienced that whatsapp stuff but it didn't affect my screen. It occurred after I downloaded a supposedly newer and moded version from a software site. The app kept reinstalling whenever I restarted my phone so I had to delete it and reinstall from Nokia store.
The good thing about whatsapp is that once there is a newer version, it informs you and disables the app (though I don't like this part) until you update.

Well you've got two good and interesting phones there. Whichever choice would be a good one though I know which I would choose if it was up to me.

Hahahaha.
The amount of iPhone 5 threads were just too much. But why didn't the lumia 920 thread reach front page? Meanwhile iPhone has two articles there.

@topic
The iPhone 5 is an improvement upon its previous iteration thats why it was mainly compared to the iPhone 4S during its presentation. There is no doubt it would sell millions.
Although Slim and light, nothing really new or innovative. Its surprising that according to Apple, the most exciting feature on the iPhone 5 is the inclusion of panorama mode in the camera.
Really think for its price and clout, it should have had a 720p screen.

Finally, if I was to choose a single phone among all the major flagships this year (HTC ONEX, Galaxy SIII, 808 PureView, Lumia 920 and iPhone 5) its definitely going to be the 920.
PhonesRe: Nokia Lumia 920...finally A Smartphone From Nokia That Can Compete! by jedisco(m): 9:40pm On Sep 12, 2012
Lord_Reed: I posted my reply before I got to see the pages where the image issue was discussed.

Windows Mobile 6.x left a bad taste in my mouth and I have distrusted MS since then. WP7 did nothing to improve my perception and WP8's doesn't seem to be doing so much either. I'm not saying WP8 is bad or its implementation in the 920 is not going to rock but until I see it I don't think it stands a big chance.

You might be impressed by the sales numbers of the Lumia series but coming from the Nokia power house I think it is too underwhelming to be news worthy. Windows as a mobile brand has been around way before iOS & Android, if they can't innovate their way past those guys then weak sales numbers is not going make any difference.

With the iphone5 out now the Apple loyalists might not be swayed by the 920 even though I think Apple is fading out. "Loyalism" is what gets Apple lots of sales. If WP8 can't wow them then it has a slim chance of making head way.
Well the WP implementation by MS over the years hasn't been great especially because they leave old users behind with most new updates.
I think with WP7.5 they were quite up to date in terms of UI usability. The remaining hardware limitations and OS glitches should be taken care of in WP8.
If you think otherwise, then its your opinion and no probs.

The lumia sale numbers might not be interesting by todays standards but you've got to understand that this was a fresh phone and OS (for most practical reasons) against two smartphone giants.
Also you can look at the sale numbers as Nokia being a power house a few years before or Nokia seriously struggling for survival when the phone line was released.

Lastly, one good thing about this phone is that it appeals to android and iOS users alike. Afterall they are the ones generating all this hype. WP practically has about 3-4% user base.

Like you said, all the talk has been made. Whats left is for it to be released and its usability adequately scrutinized.

4llerbuntu: and apple stole nokia shine n swag!!

eeyah.
Hahahaha.
I'm not sure you've been following proceedings.

Infact after the apple presentation, I must commend Nokia for announcing their device before that of apple.

At first when I saw the date I was like Nokia made a big mistake.
Looking back now, they managed to steal press coverage atleast a week before release, generate alot of interest when the device was released and hold up that interest in the week preceding iphone 5 release. Now thats not easy!

Worse still is the fact that the phone is better speced and much more innovative that iphone 5 that you would hardly see any review or comments without a comparison being made which 920 would most likely win.

If 920 was not announced, the iphone would have had all the hype unhindered.
The only problem is that iphone 5 will be released before 920 but anybody who knows about lumia 920 and still goes on to buy iphone 5 would still have bought iphone 5 even if the lumia was released first.

Don't get me wrong, the iphone 5 would still outsell the lumia by a good margin, but this phone gives the lumia series (Nokia) and wp8 the much needed traction for the years ahead.

PhonesRe: Nokia Lumia 920...finally A Smartphone From Nokia That Can Compete! by jedisco(m): 8:32pm On Sep 12, 2012
Lord_Reed: Same thing they said about the Lumia 900 even made it an AT&T exclusive yet it barely sold 300,000 in the US.

Windows 8 might be a better OS than the Mango (Tango?) that is on the 900 but as far as I'm concerned WP8 is an unknown quantity and it's prospects for market share are not very bright imho.
The lumia 900 generated very little hype when compared to lumia 920.
It may not have performed hugely in sale numbers, but it certainly didn't perform poorly in alot of aspects.

That phone was the first high-end lumia phone from Nokia and apart from the design, it didn't bring much in terms of differentiation. Also its non-upgradeability to wp8 didn't help either. The phone however managed to give one of the best user satisfaction ratings.

That said, lumia has managed to double its sales quarter to quarter since its release from 1 to 2 to 4 million which is still the best of any phone series released.

That is certainly not bad for a new phone line in under a year.

If you still think that lumia 900 was trash, then you should ask yourself why lumia 920 is generating so much hype. Its reaping on the effort of its predecessors. Android and Apple grew over the years. They were not 1 month hits
PhonesRe: Nokia C7, E7 And N7 Which One Is The Best. by jedisco(m):
temmy.m3:
Can someone please come to this guy's aid. Where do i start your case from nowhuh
U neva used somthing, u felt u knew it all and u kept throwing #Gbagauns on the thread, i try to explain, u said my explanation was a long trash and wasn't needed, yet u still making the same error & u could boldly say someone is ignorant. Ok Am begging u. Listen again for God's sake, just take time and read me carefully

There have been 4 official released major updates for Symbian ^3 Devices, 2 of which is a full/complete updates which changes the whole device from the root. i.e changes to the whole version of the Symbian OS. This changes Affect the READ-ONLY-MEMORY (Z) folder which can't be accessed by any means except by a serviced tool Software. THIS MEANS YOU CAN NEVER UPGRADE TO THIS 2 FIRMWARE CHANGES WITHOUT THE USE OF "PC Suite updater driver or phoenix" otherwise the z: folder can never be accessible. Even if it shows on SW-UPDATE application on phone, u ll get the notification "PC IS REQUIRED".. This are Symbian ANNA & Nokia BELLE updates.

the last 2 update is BELLE FP1 & BELLE REFRESH
This is a partial update that are ported unto your current firmware version for improvement. it is registered in the device "Hash-Check" so it won't be removed or tampered with, even if u Hard Reset the phone. This can surely be done with the phone's built in SW UPDATE app (Unlike the first 2, Anna & Belle)so even if the update is just 20mb, u can always pause and resume, then Restart when it is done for changes to take effect

Now use your senses concerning "THE FIRST 2 UPDATES & FLASHING"
PC SUITE UPDATE & PHOENIX UPDATE
When both are ready for your upgrade, they automatically put the phone in TEST MODE (Flash mode) so the phone can stop using the Z folder for operation so as to modify the drive. The phone only boots up after a successful ROM (Z) Upgrade.

DIFFERENCES BTW PC SUITE & PHOENIX.
PC SUITE Detects your phone, Formats your Z: and starts downloading the Firmware for your ROM until it is done. U can be quite unfortunate with the network which will leads to disconnection from the server, and since you have an incomplete ROM, your phone no longer boots (BRICKED)

With Phoenix, just go on the net and download your firmware from NOKIA Server yourself (Via Navifirm or any means) then drag into phonenix and upgrade, which saves u the trouble of BRICKING, at least u have the firmware with you so no matter what happens, u can do it again.. and u can even modify this firmware to your own taste befor upgrade. don't forget if u brick via PC Suite, u ll come back to phoenix if your device ll ever boot up again.

Now tell me, MR GURU, which one wold u rather use?

Any Id*ot with a Nokia smartphone can Update a partial Update (Belle Fp1 and Belle REFRESH) which can be done via SW-UPDATE on the device itself. u own a 701 so automatically This is your first and only update u v ever gotten as of present, How will u know how a proper Upgrade is been donehuh

If FP2 should be a "full ROM upgrade" then i will be waiting patiently for you to upgrade and make changes to your ROM via your device.. This shouldn't be an Argument, it will be released soon so we shall see, that is if its gonna be a major upgrade like that of ANNA& Belle and not a patch like FP1 & REFRESH. U feel me

That Reminds me, U asked me to tell u where to upgrade Nokia Belle FP1 for N8. Man this is so s*upid of u. it is like saying, TELL ME WHERE I CAN UPGRADE MY 701 WITH BELLE REFRESH AND I WILL DELETE MY ACCOUNT ON NAIRALAND. Does that makes sensehuh Ode.

Wait Let me explain what u got on Navifirm to u. If u have a problem with your 701 booting up and the original FW on your device was BELLE. u cant boot with that no more cos u have upgraded once. the engineer will have to root you back to Scandinavia and then port u a fresh Belle FP1 from Navifirm. this is what the FW u just got was all about. Now tell me, Why will i download A whole FP1 Firmware when the Released patch for my current belle was 20MB and can be updated via the device? It is like saying. HEY, NOKIA JUST RELEASED BELLE REFRESH PATCH FOR MY CURRENT OS VERSION SO AM DOWNLOADING THE WHOLE FIRMWARE! How does that sound dudehuh

U sound more like a Mor*on by saying i haven't used an OFW. I guess Nokia ported a CFW into my device when i bought it, or maybe i created my own modded version from your own OFW. How old are u brohuh

U have never seen anyone with a bricked phone via PC Suite cos u either ignorant or u just wanna make a statement here. This is more childish. Google is your friend, or flipped back pages of NOKIA BELLE IS HERE thread and see some.

Man u are not blind. Go back and read my post concerning the widgets, i ask u to provide me a screenshot of your Mail widget and small calendar widget, I never asked for your Ugly FM radio & Music player. not the ones u installed and changed the .mif background from resource. Am not stvpid. i have my reason for asking those ones. u either put those ones here or just stay mute.

YOur last statement about adding file from OFW was not funny, it was really annoying. U sound really sick. what is wrong with youhuh what were the files u added when u used one as u claimedhuh

Your accusations about me Lying, Posting fake test & fake pictures doesn't really bother me, i have known u for some time time now so its your normal behavior. Go back and check the pictures i posted and see how fake it was, maybe i was the one that manufactured both phones. this wouldn't be your first time making such accusations, u made it most times at our previous forum and the funniest one was the picture i took from an N8, u just refused to accept and claimed it was not true, not until u embarrassed yourself at the forum when others were busy testifying with their own shots. That really cracked me up till now, it simply means reading blogs aint enough to claim being good. u need to practice what u feel u know, otherwise u are just like an empty barrel, u know what they say about them right smiley

I don't claim being good at anything bro. Trust me, i don't claim what i don't own either and i do my own thing for my own satisfaction without troubling no one. i just created an account in 2007 to follow topics here until i installed a new windows OS that cleared my cache and i lost my first NL Account password. Decided to make a new one wanted to Comment on "Nokia Belle Is Here" and ever since i have been pasting some time wasting long messages, just to talk about some phones i don't even use anymore. I guess i have had enough of arguments from u as far as Symbian is concerned cos its no more funny, but rather Childish.. Battery,Time Consuming and abusive.
I'm really sorry if anyone feels i contributed to derailing the topic by useless arguments. Originally i have answered the OP's question by giving him a detailed explanation about the 3 phones he asked. so i think am done Here!

@OP
I hope u have got your favorite out of your 3 choices. Cheers!
You really need me to address some issues you've got.

You've put up another long post trying to prove things which are false.
Lets look at the updates released thus far and means of getting them
Anna- OTA (27MB), Nokia suite and Navifirm.
Belle- Nokia suite and Navifirm.
Belle fp1 (previously symbian Carla)- OTA (21MB), Nokia suite and Navifirm.
Belle refresh (stripped down version of fp1 for old devices)- OTA (11MB), Nokia suite and Navifirm.
Belle fp2 (previously symbian Donna)- ??

Once again you don't understand what you're explaining.
The thing is that you confuse yourself with names. Fp1 and fp2 would have been Carla and Donna if Nokia was still interested in Symbian. Would you then call them full updates?
Anna (a 'full' update for you) was available via OTA at just 27MB. So what do you have to say?
The reason for belle not being released via OTA is best known to Nokia has nothing to do with being full or access to Z:
who now needs to use his senses?

YOU CAN NOW SEE THAT THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FULL OR PARTIAL UPDATE FOR SYMBIAN. WHETHER YOU DO IT VIA OTA OR ON A DESKTOP HAS ABSOLUTELY NO INFLUENCE ON THE FINAL PRODUCT.

You can also see that since timely updates are available for me via OTA, then why do I need to go through a PC? In essence, I can't see any advantage of using phoenix or NS.

ITS GOOD THAT YOU'VE FINALLY AGREED THAT THE ONLY WAY OF GETTING THE CURRENT FEEL OF SYMBIAN ON AN OLD DEVICE LIKE N8 IS BY USING A CFW AND NOT BY GOING TO NAVIFIRM TO PICK UP NOTHING. THIS HOLDS NO ADVANTAGES FOR THOSE WITH CURRENT PHONES.

You're asking for additional widgets? This discussion is not worth the stress of me hiding sensitive info just to upload my mail widget. A simple search will show u tens of transparent mail and calendar widgets used without flashing ( http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php?topic=66843.0 ). Are you now satisfied? If you still insist, I may upload it.

As regards adding files from the OFW to the complete CFW, its clear you've used a narrow and boring variety. The version CFW I used was partial and I had to complete it using the OFW. The next version released was full but buggy.

I had a problem accepting a picture you said you took from an N8 because you had previously told me the audio out of your 701 was by the side together with your bogus fm transmitter and battery experiment. Not forgetting thesame photoshopped images. Its no brainer that I had to get other people to confirm as your words were worth nothing.

Its funny that in just this short conversation you've added the course you're reading, when you joined NL and the number of phones you've used to the phantom stuff which you already have- Things that can't be proven which I call lies.

IN CONCLUSION, YOU SAY I READ BLOGS. YES! I USE PHONES AND READ BLOGS THATS WHY I'M VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AS REGARDS SYMBIAN COS I'M NOT A ONE PHONE MAN WHO BASES HIS OPINION ON SELF-GENERATED LIES THAT EVEN HE CANNOT PROVE.

NEXT TIME I MAKE MY OPINION, DON'T COME AND ATTACK IT WITHOUT KNOWING YOUR STUFF.

At the beginning of this stuff, I put up a link ( http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/14959_Nokia_701_vs_N8_Torpedo_vs_Gui.php ) to a symbian site where a comparison has already been done without bias and hundreds of users also commented (most of which were N8 users).
I asked you to attack it and instead all you could say is that you've used devices in phantom and I've used nothing and yet could not prove a single thing.

First screen- your strongest point yet you went blank when I put up several pictures and videos and asked you why the top two smartphone screens are not AMOLED

I then asked you to give me a SINGLE reason why I should use a CFW. This is what you said- "There are 258 different commands in the 'BE9
folder and this has been set by default from Z,
how many of this can u modify? How many
script in it hav u personalized?" AGAIN HOW PATHETIC!!

Then we went on to size of C:, how laggy N8 is, better looks of 701, better upgradeability with current symbian version, better screen with CBD, much smaller and lighter, Physical call and Hangup buttons, central menu key, larger sized and removable battery, 1.3GHz processor, 512MB RAM, Better GPU, Dual LEDs with physical key key for torch
function, NFC, 400MB free on C:

AND AFTER ALL THIS YOU'VE BEEN UNABLE TO PROVE ME WRONG EVEN ON ONE OCCASION WHILE I'VE SEEN YOU RUN FROM PILLAR TO POST DROPPING POINTS ALONG THE WAY WHILE I RUN CIRCLES AROUND YOU.
I'M STILL CHALLENGING YOU TO SHOW ME JUST ONE PLACE WHERE I SAID SOMETHING THAT WAS FALSE.

NEXT TIME, COME UP WITH TANGIBLE REASONS COS YOU'RE JUST A ONE-PHONE MAN WHO IS BLANK ABOUT SYMBIAN YOU CLAIM TO KNOW. WORSE STILL YOU GO ABOUT LYING THAT YOU'VE OWNED PHONES YOU'VE NEVER SEEN.
