And if you can understand my post as well as the other person you quoted, you'd understand we all know it is stolen funds. And everyone who steals funds launder it. The difference however is that he chose to invest his laundered funds in Nigeria and his home state by building a university that'd give him returns while also employing people and providing sound education.

That's the only silver lining to his crime.

People who invest expect to make returns. He invested the stolen money and would make returns (fees). It's still investment.

And by the way, laundered money can still be used as investment. Steal money, move it abroad to a shell company (money laundering), then use that shell company to buy properties or shares or establish a business (investment).
