yinchar: Every helicopter need to counter the forward propelling torque by using the tail rotor. The tail rotor will cancel the forward and the backward torque on the helicopter (just like equilibrium).
However in order not to use the tail rotor this design is used, the blades are inclined at an angle of 45 degree to each other, thus canceling out the forward and backward torque on the helicopter, hence ensuring stability.
Am not a mechanical engineer just a computer scientist perhaps I missed somethings. The mech engineers can explain better. The opposing rotation is most important. You just about nailed it. |

simatiniya: I guess that's why there is no tail rotor.. hmm Rotors are slightly tilted and rotate in opposing directions. Horizontal vectors are equal from both rotors and cancel out. Interesting design. A bit dizzying, sha. |

Now he seems alone, but for those who really love him.

The tracks have been around for years as off-road options for trucks. You're supposed to simply jack up the car and fix them like you can fix any tire. I'm sure they can be used for a range of trucks and SUVs. In summary: you don't have to get that car to have the experience. |

azimibraun: It's shoud not suprise us rather it should annoy us that the technology to move at least bungalows have not been perfected long before now. Design moveable foundations and build in the body of the house solid hooks like anchors. When it's time to move, you realese the foundation, hook the house by the mechanism built into concrete and use a powerful crane to put it on. Specilsed vehicle ( after all truck carry bulldozers which are much heavier) transfer the house to a location with similar topography and space. Build a new foundation platform ahead, lay the house expertly on it. But it must require building a new soak away. Or if you have a detachable soak away then you can also empty it, transfer to the new location dig, bury them and connect them to your lavatory. Simple thing to to. Afterall na person build rocket, space station, underground rail system etc. So don see my Idea as to fantastic or spectacular. Americans have been doing it for many many years. If I'm not mistaken, those guys have moved an entire hotel. There are contractors who specialize in difficult moves, and they regularly move houses. There are companies in Nigeria who can move houses. IMO, any logistics company that can move something as huge as a 150MVA power transformer from Lagos to Damaturu can move a bungalow from Agege to Ipaja. It's just that when people see compensation money for their grandpa's old house, they bone the house and collect the money. That's why we have not seen such moves here. If someone does it here, we will all call him a madman. |

We too dey take things serious. The Bible said David danced (not specifying the kind of dancing styles) and even went nakeď to praise God and guess what? God was pleased with that and even called him the apple of his (God's) eyes.
I bet if David was in this century of Christianity these so called over righteous born again stupidity filled Christians will condemn him.
Imagine calling a dance worldly. Please tell me a heavenly invented dancing steps that was shown to you in a revelation
No wonder atheists calls us Dummies...
Double standard fools making Christianity a religion for mental slavery.

AnodaIT: I dont think there is need for central support. But I can agree with you about the load distribution, under normal circumstances, loads are designed to induce mainly axial stresses ie to transfer the burden to the pillars by the side.
Take for instance, stadiums with cover roof will not need a support at the center to hold the structure

Ask too much? wahala. Too little? Iranu.
So, what do you do?
Firstly, study the Company, seek out and ask people who have had dealings with them about the package they are most probable to offer (yes, it's possible to make such findings especially if you have worked in that industry for some time).
Do that before the interview, of course. It never hurts to be prepared.
Then, mark it up by 20%. Not less than 20%.
If you are not desperate for the job, don't settle for less than 20% more than your current salary.
Got no job at present? Calculate a comfortable take home, add running costs to it, then mark that up by........you guessed it. 20%. Or more.
Cheers. |
