Keneking: Up North
Indeed Tambuwal and others are doing well
Unlike South West, where there is no progress in power..always relying on Niger Delta gas
Important points:
“it consumes 33,000 litres per day.” ie One trailer per day
“It is only after it works for five years that it can be shut down for routine maintenance,” Heh! To better put it in perspective: 33000×365×5 = 60,225,000 litres consumed before its first routine shutdown. At N150 per litre..........(bwaaaahahahahaha!) It consumes N9,033,750,000. Almost 3 times the cost of the actual plant will be spent on its FUEL alone. Say nothing about other costs. CLOWNS! |

DeHEIGHTS: Warped reasoning!
I'm sure you don't know what superstition means.
In case you're that naive, I only quote God. And if you have any problem with that direct your grievances, your observations, and critism to God, who's the Author of the Bible.
God said: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 KJV
Talk to him, not me. I only quote Him. So, if you confess life every day, you become immortal? |

DeHEIGHTS: Direct your grievances, your observations, and critism of that statement to God, who's the Author of the Bible.
God said: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21 KJV
Talk to him, not me. I only quote Him. Thanks for the quote. I agree that quote is in the Bible. If you mean literal, physical death, then I have a problem with that. You live because of God's mercy, not by your tongue. "It is by His mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not". The Bible says "it is APPOINTED to a man once to die, and after that the judgment". This mortal body cannot live forever, by confession or any other means. When that appointed time comes, no confession of life can change it. Postpone it, perhaps (Hezekiah comes to mind), but it comes to all except those who will be raptured. I am a Christian, and I advocate living each day like it was your last. If you understand this, you will literally prepare to meet your Creator. It takes deep spiritual maturity to come to terms with death, to understand that it is inevitable and to live prepared. Ever wonder why people ask, "why does God let good people die?" The obvious answer is, "because ALL people die!". Live with reality. Give God glory for each day you are alive and make good use of that day. If you don't realize that each day may be your last, you will never fully understand that each day is a gift. Stay blessed. |

DeHEIGHTS: That's the power of the tongue.
So, use your tongue creatively wisely! Lots more people die without ever mentioning death or even thinking about it. Some even die after "binding" the "spirit of death" and "blood sucking demons" before a trip. His time to go. That's all. |

Yomi6: Mentioning their names is not necessary because you won't know them but the point is that the Nigerian government is not doing enough to encourage creative and talented individuals because there's too much emphasis on paper qualifications We all can not be lawyers, doctors etc. We don't all have to be graduates too, you know, yet we seem to write off people without degrees. Talented people are not restricted by degrees. A sociologist can still be an inventor, an Engineer can be a romance novelist. Besides, we too dey wait for Gorment for Naija. |

Yomi6: Seriously I'm beginning to think that Nigeria is not a nation for creative minds! Because many talented and creative people are just being forced to go and study sociology and the likes. This is just sad! Examples of said "talented sociologists", please? |

NevetsIbot: bro... What about this? I did waec long ago and since I'm the best artist in school, i did brilliantly well in my fine arts. Both the textile designing, pencil sketching and paper obj. So much so that the invigilators were commending my work before they collected it. And I also answered to my name when the register was called... That verified that I was a bonafied fine arts student scheduled to write the exam.... Fast forward, some months later, result came out and I didn't find any fine arts result...... Out of the nine subjects offered, only 8 was released. Fine arts was excluded. Can you just tell me why? Same happened to me with Agricultural Science. My teacher was shocked my result was withheld. In his words: "Maybe they saw you were getting 'A1'" He saw my script as I worked, said nothing to me in the hall. I was his best student. WAEC Later released my result (on my certificate). It was 'A2' in Agric. BTW, I wrote WAEC 23 Years ago (that explains the 'A2'). |

Properties › Re: Photos From The Building Collapse In Lekki, Lagos This Morning by Jeezuzpick(m): 12:22pm On Mar 08, 2016 |
Causes of building collapse:
1. Greed: Substandard materials, shallow foundations, very lean concrete mixes, etc just to cut costs and line pockets.
2. Total ineptitude of the builders: Quacks everywhere. Building owners don't care to hire professionals.
3. Rushed up jobs: No waiting for concrete to build up strength before loading it with structure dead weight above.
Building collapse finish dem go dey call God name!
Things like earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, etc no dey Naija. Our own "disasters" na wetin we dey do we self!
