RedPanthar:Sir, I am very interested in being part of this project please. Kindly furnish me with details on how to proceed. I can be reached via WhatsApp on 0903 745 1255 or by my email, oviedynasty@gmail.com. Many thanks. |
When will he vow to get justice for the young musician killed by SARS in Port Harcourt since last week? |
Failure has a way of making philosophers of men and giving them a touch of humility. From describing himself as a political lion, all Oshiomole can see now is his small head that 'lost some'. It was Paximus, in the movie GLADIATOR, who said, "we mortals are nothing but ashes and dust". It's a fact that every person in power should always bear in mind. |
A country that cheers her real thieves and boo her petty pilferers. If we would respond like this when we see politicians or their wives, there could be hope for a better Nigeria. |
Even if we agree with you that it is child abuse, we would like you to know that it's not in any way close to the Nigerians abuse under buhari. |
The artist can use that criticism as a motivation to become world-class. Sympathy never brings out the best in anybody. |
Kobojunkie:It is interesting that you suggest that there is a way for one man to see into the heart of another. I would have thought that all we are privileged to is the actions of people and the testimonials about them 'by the hands of man'. Your opinion though, and you are entitled to it. |
Kobojunkie:Isn't it the height of sanctimonious arrogance that, after reading such a glowing testimonial about an exceptional soldier of Christ, you try to condescend his impeccable credentials by asking a totally pointless question? |
techmo:No disrespect intended but your position amuses me. |
In the game of thrones you either win or you die; there is no middle ground. –Cersei. In this seemingly sudden distillation of the tumults that gripped the guts of the APC the only real loser in my view is Oshiomole with the gang that he represents. He is a man that was elevated to greatness on the wings of chance but once he got there he forgot the transient nature of everything mortal and constituted himself an untouchable demigod. He who the gods seek to destroy, as it is said, they first make to go mad. |
If the author of Game of Thrones had been in Nigeria he would have developed much more intriguing plots. Unfortunately, this is real life and the destiny of this contraption called Nigeria is at the mercy of relentless vicious hounds. |
WICKEDfucker:Neither Righteousness89 nor anyone else, as it seems, can tell you a story about Jesus that you didn't know. What you can be told is what you haven't pondered on about what you know. Isn't it curious that a Man who pretends to be a savior would have Himself exposed by none other than His own followers who despite seeing that He could not save Himself became the first people to believe in Him as their Savior? Will a castigated criminal and those close to him not do everything to keep his story from being made public? Will it not be his enemies that will be bent on exposing him while his friends will desperately be hiding or distorting the facts? How come this criminal makes His own friends and followers record and preserve His own atrocities for 2000 years and counting; which record has enabled you to discover Him as a ruse? You would, I guess, be able to put it together when you meditate on the words of another of His followers who said, "He (The same God that the Criminal felt forsaken by) made Him (The Criminal) who knew no sin to become sin, that by Him we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus". Sure you are a man of enough intellect to understand what that means should you dare to ponder it. My regards sir. |
Emmaomotob:You ridicule an entire age just to discredit 'A god'? The age that produced timeless philosophers and mathematicians, the age that gave the world some of is bravest and intelligent rulers and an empire that was never defeated, the age of eminent historians and astute orators? If I could say enough about that age then your claim about it's idiocy would be right. You are right, though, that He died like a mere criminal. But wouldn't it be a miracle beyond duplicity that He commands the greatest followership in the universe and that His legacy lingers more than all the collosuses that traversed humanity? About Him it is written, "In the begining was The Word, and The Word was with God and The Word was God. He was in the begining with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was nothing made that was made". You might consider worshipping The Source of the sun instead of the sun. Cheers. |
ojun50:They might not put their faith in Him, but the whole world does know Jesus; even hell and it's horde. |
So we caused a death by the gun in order to prevent a death by the virus. Nigeria! |
Oga, is it the shock that is making you want to grant those who put them into such misery in the first place foreign education? Is it the shock that is making you integrate them into the Nigerian Army? Is it the shock that caused you to give a free life to those who hacked the fathers of the IDPs to death, while the children wallow in unspeakable squalor? Oga, does your 'shock' have it's meaning in the English language or in Fulfude? |
Pure lies; hypocritical and utterly selfish. Because they know that Oshiomole's fate is sealed, they are trying to quickly distance themselves from him as far as possible. The Lagos APC was among those fighting for Oshiomole's return to office but with the ruling of the court that the NEC meeting of the 17th can hold, no one is left in doubt how things will turn out. And suddenly they are discarding Oshiomole because failure is an orphan. |
In the game of thrones you either win or you die; there's no middle ground. –Cersei Lannister. Like Ned Stark Sanusi lost his track Be wise when you attack Power is an ocean of sharks. |
Very symbolic, an apt reflection of current realities. |
Gwilym:I totally agree with you sir. What the Universities accused JAMB of is what they are themselves immensely guilty of now, plus the cash that comes with it. It became my opinion sometime ago that Nigeria is skilled at solving problems by creating more problems. Thank you. |
Luckysbab:Even the devil will maintain that he has a reason for being wicked. You see the world according to the diameter of your mind. I should let you know that I am not against Muslims, I am against the use of religion as a tool for selfish manipulation and marginalization. I would respond the very same way if I thought that a Muslim was being discriminated against. On of the principles of justice is the fairness must to seen to have been extended to all, especially the person in the disadvantage. And if you feel that the ABU system was fair to Goodness then you are entitled to your opinion, as you clearly are. Thank you. |
Luckysbab:I should further bring to your attention sir, that typically, the first list that is released in universities admission all over Nigeria is the Merit List which captures all highest performing candidates who chose particular institutions irrespective of state of origin, religion or any other factor. Miss Goodness Thomas is more than qualified on the basis of merit. The deceptive stance of ABU that they picked two candidates from each state on merit is utterly preposterous and infinitely untenable because it both does merit a great harm and defies the quota principle. Thank you. |
Luckysbab:I won't descend into the pit of expletives with you. I am not of the kind. But is it not the bigotry that you accuse me of that has incapacitated you from simple logic? How come the candidate that came first in UTME , which is a credible national exam, comes third in post-UTME? And how does this happen just when two students are needed from each state when the basis for selection is merit and not quota system? Do you choose to be blind to the fact that the only disadvantaged candidate of the spurious system is the Christian among the three? And to think that your only argument is that other universities use the post-UTME. Sir my suggestion was that the post-UTME should be scrapped nationwide not just in ABU. Perhaps you need to read the recent piece by Rev. Fr. Matthew Kukah (that is if your mind has the capacity to tolerate the other viewpoint) Thank you. |
The case of Goodness is that of sheer religious discrimination perpetuated by intellectual falsehood and clever manipulation to hide the truth. She scored the highest in UTME among the three of them under consideration. In order to ensure that she was edged out the ABU authorities inflated the post-UTME scores of the two Muslim candidates so that they can have a higher average score. The post-UTME has become a manipulative tool in the hands of our tertiary institutions. The way forward is to scrap it so that true merit can be established. |
gloriaunobi:A negative mind will never give you a positive life. - Quoted |
A government that fights corruption by shielding the identity of the corrupt and a press that feels professional enough not to be investigative, they both find sure-footing in a society that is inimically indifferent about those who govern them. |

Islie:I found it curious that El-Zakzaky was not released alongside Dasuki and Sowore. And the solid silence that followed his non-release until now was not also lost on me. And my conjecture was that El-Zakzaky was left out of the America brokered release because Saudi Arabia wanted him to remain incacerated and being a major and strong ally of the US they were able to ensure that he was not spoken for. Plus the fact that El-Zakzaky being a Shia Muslim with Iranian ties (sworn enemies of the US) made his plight worse. In the final analysis, even what is touted by the strongest democracy in the world as 'human rights' is subject to the political intrigues of alliances and enmities. The politics of human life matter to them than the value of human life. |
Pr0cter:The idea is not just to show kindness and give help; more importantly, it is to show the value of kindness and the benefits of helping a total stranger. Quite aptly, is is the rich and well-to-do in our society, which is fast losing it's sense of kindness that need the lesson. In fact if they did the situation of those who you refer to will be solved. |
Madam is simply seeing the sign of caution in her crystal ball even though I don't support her action. Your house help is like a second mother to your kids now and your wife is wanting to ensure that she doesn't become a step-mother to them. I don't think that her concerns are unfounded; they may not be about you but about stories of other people that she has heard. My opinion is that if she has any insecurities, she should return the girl home rather than maltreat her. Such attitude may actually conspire to bring oga and ómódô together.. |
