PoliticsRe: Orji Declares 70 Per Cent Of Aba Structures Illegal by Jenifa1: 7:30pm On Aug 20, 2011
on the Abuja thread, the demolition of illegal structures was blamed on igbo marginalization and ethnic bias as usual.

so is Orji also trying to marginalize poor defenseless igbos? huh

EuroMeko:
You Ladies should ask your Black American Sisters in America why they are complaining that successful Black American Men are not dating them. I've lived in the US for almost 30 years, and I've dated only 1 Black American one Nigerian. I am more comfortable with other races. Now that I am coming around to start dating Nigerians I hope that this draconian and non self serving ideologies that is shown by couple of females on this thread of cutting down the African Men is not rampant.
Why do you want to date Nigerian if you are more comfortable with other races?
I think you should stay with what you are comfortable with.

how old are you by the way? you said you've been in the US for almost 30 yrs. then you must be at least in your 40s or 50s.
RomanceRe: It Is Pathetic To Fall In Love With Someone Who Does Not Love You by Jenifa1: 6:52pm On Aug 20, 2011
I love people who do not love me back. I don't think it's pathetic. It is God's ultimate commandment to love our neighbors and even our enemies.

What you are talking about is probably lust not love. it would be pathetic to lust after someone who doesn't care for you.
PoliticsRe: Tension Mounts In Abuja Over Demolition Of 172 Houses Belonging To Igbo Bizmen by Jenifa1: 6:50pm On Aug 20, 2011

I hate sun/ODILI newspaper. All they spew out is crap! These moves r not done to Target the igbos as these foolish papers make it? How comes other ethnic groups even ibibio, ijaw etc are not targeted but it is the igbos they are targeting. C'mon guys, this has nothing to do with igbos in particular n you know it in your hearts.

Can you all remember fashola's demolitions? We saw it on BBC in the UK n the ethnic group that was affected the most are the yorubas, closely followed by the hausas before the igbos. Yet, its sun newspaper that said fashola was targeting the igbos. For what reason? When he has an igbo commissioner.

Please guys be objective.

And in abuja, most of the so called owners didnt have C of O. What they did was to build indiscriminately n there structures become Illegal!

As you said, you have a property in abuja, how come its not been demolished? It's because it it a LEGAL property. If its illegal, then, it must be demolished. We need to move past ethnicity in such trivial issues as this.

God help us all,
good point.

CelebritiesRe: Society For Nigerian Women To Protest On Day Of Mercy J. Wedding by Jenifa1: 6:43pm On Aug 20, 2011
the 5000 women protesting means that obviously things like this happen all the time in Naija.
Men marrying multiple women without consent or divorce from their "first" wives.

The church definitely should pressure the prince to divorce his wife first. why would a church of all places allow polygamy?

RomanceRe: Men, Do You Value Inner Beauty? (Be Honest) by Jenifa1: 3:47pm On Aug 17, 2011
most men do this as they become more mature.

nowadays though, it's taking longer for men to grow up and be matured. a 35yr old still has a mentality of a 22 yr old. sagamite for example tongue

PoliticsRe: I Am Not In A Hurry To Die, Says Ojukwu by Jenifa1: 3:27pm On Aug 17, 2011
I read this thread from start to finish and I didn't see any comment against igbos. all I see are igbos making nasty comments about yorubas.
this is the same on many threads on nairaland.

deekay29:
@ Ileke Idi, why do you have such hatred for the ibos,
can you point to any part of this topic where she or anyone else said anything against igbos?
as far as i'm concerned, she spoke only against biafra and ojukwu.
same with Negro_Nts

on the other hand, you see freewilly, onlytruth and others spewing vile things against yorubas. but you are blind to that.
you guys are so deluded and insecure to think everyone hates you. whereas you are the ones hating everyone else.

RomanceRe: My Heart Is Broken For The First Time:::it Hurts! by Jenifa1: 4:47am On Aug 13, 2011
deniyor:
I agree with you mostly except on that one point. What is it with you women? After shattering some dude's heart, you want to remain friends. Friends fire!!! angry You do realise being friends make the healing process harder, longer and sometimes impossible. When someone breaks your heart, you take a clean break from them. Till you are strong enough, or over it, don't even say hello to them. Go heal first.
that's your point of view. OP can also consider it. It's up to him anyway. If he feels that his heart will heal faster if he avoids her, then by all means he should go for it!

I just didn't see a problem with friendship because he didn't fault her character and said that she was like a younger sister to him (i'm also assuming that the girl loves him as an older brother or best friend). But if he thinks it's better for him to cut all ties with her, then that's an option too.
RomanceRe: My Heart Is Broken For The First Time:::it Hurts! by Jenifa1: 4:16am On Aug 13, 2011
Jenifa, U're so totli on point, U seem to understnd me better dan any1 here, but seriously, Jenifa, I really wish I won't break sum1's heart, I can't even do dt, my conscience will never allow me, trust me!
The thing is that sometimes you won't know when you are breaking someone's heart. This girl for instance, I don't think she's breaking your heart on purpose or intentionally. That's why I asked you if you knew that this thread you created may break her heart if she sees it. doesn't mean you intentionally wanted to hurt her feelings. Just that some of her expectations are different from yours.

I think u should try to respect her desire and be a good friend to her. Over time, you will find that the romantic love you have for her will fade away(yes there is a difference between romantic love and unconditional love) and you will fall in love with someone else. but at least you will still have a very wonderful and true friend if your friendship lasts.

PoliticsRe: Governor Jang Appoints Son As Special Adviser. by Jenifa1: 4:56am On Aug 12, 2011
when I visited Plateau early last month, I went to the governor's house and this is what I overheard from one of the conference rooms:
---
Gov. Jang: Son, I need your advice. how should I spend the govt allocation? we got 500 million naira this fiscal year.

Son: Father,  you should send it to my bank account without further notice,  also as your special adviser, I will also advice you to die soon so I can assume your position with immediate effect. This is the most efficient way for you to and gain the love of the people. many will come out and cry at your burial

Gov: your advice is duly noted.  some people say that fathers should advice their sons. but I don't understand them. I think it should be the other way round. In fact, you are getting a 50% raise tomorrow on top of the 20% raise I gave to you last week. just for the wonderful advice you have given me today.

Son: you're welcome. it's always a pleasure father governor Jang.
-------
I heard footsteps so I rushed out of the building.  should we expect gov. Jang to suffer a mysterious illness before the end of the year?
RomanceRe: My Heart Is Broken For The First Time:::it Hurts! by Jenifa1: 4:02am On Aug 12, 2011
If she saw this thread, don't you think that her heart will be broken as well?

How did you come to the conclusion that she doesn't care about you just because she's 18 and doesn't yet want to commit to a serious relationship. In fact, she must be a very smart and intelligent christian girl. I can see from your post that you also are a very nice guy.

I understand where you're coming from but you must realize that she probably felt that she was compromising her values and morals to satisfy your need for companionship. I think you should try to find other ways to cure your loneliness. make more male friends, find a hobby etc.

In the future, you too will break a girls' heart. that's life for u. you give and take
in fact, this girl you are talking about will also have her heart broken when you move on to d next girl. because it does seem that she cares about you but she's trying to keep her morals.
