    here's my take on Terminator Salvation:

so I know TS has received a lotta negative reviews and after watching it I can see why BUT I still enjoyed the movie and give it a 7 of 10. I guess your impression of it will depend on your fanaticism level with the Terminator series. If you're hardcore, your expectation level will be really high and this movie will let you down. There's no real Bang-shock-awe moment, but it chugs along nicely. For the average fan such as myself it was sufficient. I enjoyed it more than the last installment T3.

The action sequences are fantastic (though I coulda used some more shock and awe ) and there are several 'unexpecteds' in the plot that are neat, leading up to an even neater ending. The one criticism that I have is that it seemed to be lacking in "soul", it seemed somewhat hollow in emotion and you kinda don't really connect with the characters. Overall I think TS successfully does what it set out to do . . . lay the groundwork for future Terminator flicks and entertain the viewer in the process Again I enjoyed it and I'm sure majority of less obsessive, fanatic Terminator fans will enjoy it too.

and whaddaya know- Jamie Foxx representing black people (or maybe himself) at the George Strait Country Music/Academy of Country Music awards. What is it with this guy and oyibos- he was like the only black face in a place filled to capacity with thousands or tens of thousands of people.

The rumor about him playing Frank Sinatra was fake though. It was started by some gossip forum and unfortunately snapped up by a few British tabloids.

Another thing I dislike about foxx, he is everywhere! esp after he won the oscar. Insert any award show: present, Dog show? present, mechanics conference? present, if-it-will-put-my-face-on-tv? present. He's probably not familiar with the phrase "Less is more".

Officiating is getting on my nerves. A non-call when Kobe was trippped has been upgraded to a Flagrant. A technical foul call on Howard now rescinded. Why don't they hire competent referees? FFS

I'm not even a fan of all this rescinding and upgrading and what not . . . Refs make good calls and they make bad calls, they catch fouls and sometimes they miss them. They're human but they have screwed up a time too many these playoffs . . . no be today we've noticed they're highly biased towards especially Lebron and Wade, we've been crying foul all season.

But as someone quoted Red Auerbach and I paraphrase "If you put yourself in position to let the refs decide the game for you, then you've already lost". Each team should go out and play! and inspite of bad calls the better team will still win in the end.

I don't know enough about the core concepts of Islam to say with authority what their position is on the matter. Of course not and I'm not sure where you're getting this. Jesus teaches us to love those who hate us. And while this may seem to clash with the OT God if you look closely it really doesn't.

The problem a lotta people have reconciling the supposed contradicting nature of the God of the OT and NT is simple: we have this twisted idea that God should be all love and never angry. That He should be only dishing out good but never "evil" as in punishment for wrong doing. And when this made-up round God doesn't fit into the square bible we then proceed to declare Him "evil" or "non-existent".

Well I can certainly see how it can be argued that way. However I would counter by asking to look instead at the big picture. I may be committing an "evil" towards one who is more than deserving of it but I am doing a good that by miles and lightyears overshadows any negative.

I would feel zero remorse if I killed a man who was trying to murder my mother or father, or if I stopped a rapist from destroying a young child, or towards the suicide bomber on death row who killed innocent people.

By OT laws do you mean the set of commands God gave the Isrealites? If so then I don't abide by any of them. We're taught in the NT that those laws were for a season and pointed to Jesus Christ who would come and replace them, giving us a better way of being justified by faith instead of by our actions.

  Now that being said there are many elements of the Law which still hold value today. When the Law says do not steal, kill or covet etc there is instrinsic value in such commands. And When we see commands of the Law echoed in the NT then it is obviously still valid and I by God's grace live by them.

as i have said, the Christian God isn't the all powerful all knowing god if he doesn't have the capability to do evil.
