IslamRe: Muslims Fight To Defend Their Prophet And Christians Dont? by JimmyBoy1: 3:37pm On Oct 03, 2012
I must confess that I dont really know what drive people to unleash so much violence and destruction in the name of Allah, but these events make the religion unpopular by the day. I once met a Lady who converted to chrsitianity from islam, so I asked her why?. She said nobody preached to her and that she made her decision by herself.

She claimed that she used to attend a quranic school while growing-up, but she observed that quranic teachers often use some islamic doctrines to intimidate young girls and sleep with them. She futher claimed that most of her colleagues became pregnant during the process. Therefore, she decided to become her christian without being preached to by any christian.

They should have returned the Ipad long ago naa, anyway Omojuwa as shown us that that Social Media is more effective for enforcing your rights than going through Nigerian law courts.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Giant Sea Turtle Seen At Oniru Beach This Morning by JimmyBoy1: 7:51pm On Sep 28, 2012

PoliticsRe: $1.4B Lagos-ibadan Rail Project Kicks Off by JimmyBoy1: 6:21am On Sep 18, 2012
I am really surprised at various comments on this topic, the level of ignorance is just surprising.

For those who wonder why Lagos-Ibadan should get a rail line when it is actually doable by car in 45mins, you are certainly getting it wrong. For the avoidance of doubt, Lag-Ib is the busiest expressway in Nigeria today.
Someone also suggested that Ibadan people are hostile because they always speak yoruba, that is half-truth. It is true that they always speak yoruba and they dont realy have apologies for that, but they are highly hospitable.

Someone also questioned the commercial viability of the route, but he is actually ignorant of the fact that Ibadan is the home of many multinational companies and it has the highest number of SMEs after (Lagos, PH, and Kano).

However, I am still cynical about the whole project, because nor be today dem dey sign agreement with nothing to show for it after several years, I can only celebrate after the project is delivered.
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Favourite Verse(s)/chapter(s) In The Bible? by JimmyBoy1: 7:01am On Sep 17, 2012
Numbers 23:19 -God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
FoodRe: The Price Of Garri by JimmyBoy1: 8:30pm On Aug 31, 2012
Sometimes Nairaland is the best way to relax after a hectic day. But If someone can be punished for Asing about price of Garri, then I think any negative tribal remark should attract worse punishment. That is the only thing that puts me off with Nairaland.

PoliticsRe: Cynthia’s Murder: Hotel Workers Sacked For Negligence by JimmyBoy1: 8:10am On Aug 31, 2012
This is the issue with non-compliance with laid down policies and procedures in various organisations, the non-compliance often occure regularly without any major incident, but the day something goes wrong someone quickly remembers that there is policy which ought to have help detect or prevent an undesireable event.
PoliticsRe: State Police Is Inevitable - ACN by JimmyBoy1: 8:01am On Aug 31, 2012
Nobody aregues that Nigerian Police is an insitution that is grossly effective and adds more to the nation's crime problem than it solves. But creating state police at this time will make the problem become hydra-headed.

TravelRe: Attempted Robbery On Arik Air Flight: Suspect & Victim Arrested by JimmyBoy1: 7:38pm On Aug 10, 2012
obowunmi: Now idiots like omojuwa can let us hear word.
we need to confirm if Omojuwa's Ipad was in a bag checked into the cab or those handled by ARIK staff/NAHCO .

In any case, there are many tricks for handling irate customers'like omojuwa, in Customer Services handbook. ARIK did not deem it necessary to use any of the tricks.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dangote Group: Graduate Trainee Driver Job Vacancies by JimmyBoy1: 3:25pm On Aug 02, 2012
The difference between all you guys that feel insulted by Dangote is that you are all comentators while Dangote is an entreprenau. It is a world of difference.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Dangote Group: Graduate Trainee Driver Job Vacancies by JimmyBoy1: 2:35pm On Aug 02, 2012
We should do not discourage people here, if you dont like the Job that is fine, but there is certainly nothing wrong about driving trucks. Nigerian PHd holders are in UK and US doing menial jobs all in the name of being abroad.

As far as I am concerned, this is another addition to our GDP. For those of us who had ventured into Haulage business we know the challenges of using illiterates as drivers. They cause accidents, divert your products and are generally unruly. Therefore it is highly necessary to have crop of educated drivers.
PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Prison Notes Uncovered by JimmyBoy1: 1:07pm On Jul 30, 2012
I watched this guys testimony during Oputa Panel, he is intelligent and cunning. His is trying to suggest in this account that he made moves to protect the life of Late MKO, yet court has convicted him of murdering the man's wife. He should face judgement abeg.

On wether Abacha and Abiola were killed, my gut feelings agree with him. Or how else can we explain how two people whose existence put's the future of Nigeria at great risk could just die within one month.
PoliticsRe: First Ladies' Summit: 200 Cars Claim Denied By Abati by JimmyBoy1: 10:43am On Jul 26, 2012
Something is still missing in the government story, to the best of my knowledge, Coscharis do not sell tokunboh cars and neither do they engage in car hire services. So, is Coscharis going to sell the car hired-out to Madam peshe's to unsuspecting customers's as new cars?

PoliticsRe: Cross River Loses Oil Producing Status –RMAFC by JimmyBoy1: 3:58pm On Jul 16, 2012
My best guess is that Cross River has already issued bonds amounting to billions of Naira, this development will really starve the state as there loan repayments will be deducted from the source, by the AGF.

I expect them to embark on serious IGR and also look for alternatives to oil money.
