As always, I found the GMD’s choice of words interesting.

Considering that the term “closing out the process” does not only refer to the sending out of employment letters and/or email notifications but the completion of medicals and a 3-week orientation programme bringing the recruitment process to an end.
It is safe to say all this would happen SOON

Now how soon could “SOON” be?

Making such an announcement on the 5th of November makes one question the possibility of the proposed close out being next year, as he could simply have pointed this out by saying in the next quarter, or simply next year.

However, let’s say he chose to be coy in his announcement, and made an announcement of it being soon and it is indeed next year, the question would be, why make the announcement now and publicize it ?

Just to be clear, I’m happy he did.

This could be a preamble to yet another super Wednesday, resuming a month from now, say 9th December may just give enough time for the orientation this year.

The credible Panalyst, earlier pointed out that according to his source, the list was ready with all corrections implemented by HR.
All that was required were further instructions from top management

1st time comment here: been monitoring the pages for long, but my moniker was my real name, so 2 wks ago I created the 82ndperspective.

Last week Tuesday I spoke with my contact in NNPC. His station is in PH. He was supposed to be one of the panelist, he was already in Abuja on the 3rd ahead of the 4th, but had to leave for his station to address an emergency that came up. He got replaced as a result of that development.

Meanwhile what he told me was that I should consider this whole delay a blessing. He said immediately after handover, a lot of names were smuggled into the list of successful candidates; usually it comes with some colletaral damage to the merit list.

When MKK used some trusted loyalists to appraise the process, names were discovered that didn't exist at the interview stage. This corroborates the story someone posted here sometime about 70 names being detected at first glance. So he said he was told that MKK ordered that each successful candidates emerging APL should be should be pinned against his scoreline and interview invitation letter showing that barcode (something he said about the barcode not to be easily manipulated).

Anyway, button line, he says that's the reason why it was delayed because all those verification prompted the temporary suspension.

Then came the political pressure which was given birth to due to the lopsided reality of the performance of the candidates. Between that and other factors, the matter is still in check, as at last week Tuesday. Wanted to deposit, but my new moniker wasn't allowed to make a submission till another week.

The APLs rumoured to being collected are for contract staff (Third Party) within some SBUs eg NPSC. It has nothing to do with the NNPC APL currently being anticipated.

This is my first comment, i had to register on nairaland although i have been an ardent follower. I have two things to say

First, i do not have any source but I believe The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Even if various sources are saying January or cancelled or what have you, protocol can be broken for our sake if we believe. I would enjoin us all that believe to raise our altar of prayers and call on the God we serve to intervene, there is nothing he can not do. Miracles still happen

Second, Edmund Burke said “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing and stay quiet". I believe we all deserve to know what is going on as it concerns this recruitment; even if slots are being sold or names being replaced or presidential list is delaying or contract staff are threatening strike. This recruitment process has been on for over 6 months now and we shouldn't see it as what is right or what is acceptable because it's a misnomer. We can put pressure on NNPC through social media, blogs, news outlets and agencies, pressure groups and even NGO'S. We must not keep quiet.
