Christianity Etc › Re: Do Atheists Believe In The Existence Of The Spiritual Realm? by Jman06(m): 4:22pm On Jun 25, 2017

Why do we need to research to understand things that are already there?

I mean electricity has always existed but it took research before we could discover it, why?
Because of our inherent ability to struggle for survival and to improve the quality of life, hence we push to conquer the whole universe and turn things to our advantage.

Really interesting comment.

But why are some miracles "beyond" scientific explanation?
Not everything scientific has been known by human, and that is why research is an important aspect of science. So many things we know today were thought to be impossible some tens of years back.

In the next 10-20years more will be known, and perhaps the ''miracles'' will be explained as well.

So true, and that is why a pastor will brainwash them into sleeping with him in da name of jisos!

This is the reason i love smart ladies who are not fanatical with religion, atheist ladies to be precise. It's so attractive to see a lady who can hold her own and not follow the crowd.

I am surprised that nobody is accusing the husband of using her for money rituals, if the husband was igbo, one would have been reading about money rituals. Double standard everywhere.

I know none of my sister's will ever dream of marrying yoruba man. I trust them! call me tribal bigot, i accept, so long as it concerns yoruba and hausa.

RIP to the dead.
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Atheists Believe In The Existence Of The Spiritual Realm? by Jman06(m): 12:39pm On Jun 25, 2017
I believe the spiritual realm is scientific, and that humans are gods who should reign over both the spiritual realm and the physical.

Those humans who understand their godly nature are already exploring and exploiting the spiritual realm to their advantage, while those who don't know yet that they are gods still live in fear of another supposedly greater god which infact doesn't exist or doesn't care.
Crime › Re: Family House Where Evans’ Wife Lived Before She Got Married (photo) by Jman06(m): 12:07pm On Jun 25, 2017
I believe this Evans guy shouldn't be given the death sentence, because the man to me is just not a born hardened criminal from the way he has been wagging his tongue, just someone who got a wrong idea of how to face life's challenges. I believe that if given a second chance he would turn a new leaf.

Government should just strip him of all cash in his possession and the best of his houses and cars, whatever is recovered should be used to compensate his victims. He should then be sent to like 10years of reformation in jail.

My opinion.

Some people still couldn't afford the #14,400 let alone #49000. I hope this ain't true. Not because of me o, but because of other students.

She married him may be for a purpose, she knows he will die soon or will inherit his property and then comeback and marry a 28yr lover of hers. Do you remember Dabota lawson? she did same too
while at it, pls try and find out if she has posted any picture of her wedding on social media or changed her status from single to married.
You are delusional if you think she married for love.

You dont know about those who fast and pray, check again. You might also be in the list of men fasting daily for a life partner.
Lie about age ke? Linda's age is in the public likewise many women, gone are days ppl mock ladies for being single. The time you spend on Nairaland dissing women should be enough to make you a millionaire if invested properly but nope all you prefer to do is
You don't know me from anywhere, so saying that i diss ladies or lazy was just a hogwash. Besides, my post was based on real life events.

errmm let me shock you. except the lady is in her late 40's no woman in her sanity will role with an expired sperm.
Every woman wants a man she can flaunt on social media not some old, haggard man looking like her father.
You think the struggle isnt real? wait till you clock 40 and stil single as a man and watch who will settle with you. As it stands now, any man above 32 is at risk of meeting only Shemales.. why do you think men are becoming restless especially on Nairaland? check the number of men creating threads about women and heartbreaks even you sef have been masturbating about single women whereas it
Well, my uncle got married last year at 50 to a pretty 24yo.

I live in the real world and i know those who flood the churches every day and do fasting and prayer to get married. Men hardly do that.

No wonder you ladies lie alot about your age so you can trick small boys into marrying you. That is why i add 10yrs to whatever age a lady tells me she is.

i have met one guy like that who must have spent his prime doing yahoo-yahoo, gigolo, kidnapping, or being a cult boy. The guy is 52 but single. never been married and wants to settle down at 52 with me? chukwuaju
he is expired for me and may be he might die single because according to research Men in Nigeria start dying at the age of 54. who will end up with that one?
Truth is that a 52yo man can easily get married to even a younger girl. That's the advantage men have over women.
Romance › Re: Sudden Increase Of Single Ladies Above 28: Ways Of Salvaging The Situation by Jman06(m): 7:53am On Jun 21, 2017
Please anybody that wants to get married should try and do that on time o., don't deliberately waste your time only to turn around and blame the innocent society or one old mamma in your village.

Where i live now i have two single ladies in their late 30s and early 40s. These ladies have this attitude of trying to flirt with younger guys and you need to see how the guys make jest of them. It is funny when a matured lady is trying to bring herself down to the level of younger guys, i mean, it can't just work!

So, don't claim you don't want marriage now only to start embarrassing yourself with small boys tomorrow. Let's set our priorities right.

Emismithy u nailed it. To be sincere, i'm tired of all this trashy talk about feminism, it makes me sick. It seems like the fashion nowadays for every girl to be an arrogant feminist. U hit the topic from all directions not all the rubbish i've been seeing here.
Being a feminist and preaching it doesn't change anything.
#proudly anti-feminist
You got the whole concept of feminism wrong. It is not about some crazy girls hidding under feminism to perpetuate evil, it is about empowering the girl child and women generally to be their best in all spheres of life.

That you got educated today was due to the efforts of the feminist movement. My mum was a victim of the hitherto suppression of the female gender. Despite education being free at the time, her father refused sending her to school, reason being that women's education were thought to end in the kitchen.

But for feminist movement the female education of today wouldn't ave been possible.

Atleast they should be allowed to choose whether or not to go to school, not confined to the kitchen and ''the other room'

And yes, female gender discrimination is still rife and even buhari confirmed it recently. [quote author=1StopRudeness post=57697400]Your point one and two are all in the past...mayb they still exist in some uncivilised communities..i don't know....but education doesn't stop pple from making ground breaking exploits...do I need to tell u about mark zukerberg, bill Gates, a lot of men have degrees now..yet they are nothing...

Your last point is a fallacy ..u don't know me...a woman with enough accolades, strong enough to stand against other political opponents will get my vote

This feminism revolution seems to me like women just want some advantage handed over to them.... and the derogatory remarks against them on media stopped, they dress like slut,

Which gender is being suppressed and how are they being suppressed..
The female gender has been suppressed since time imemorial.
My mom for instance could not be educated despite her natural wisdom because female education was thought to end in the kitchen.

Also, before now women were never allowed to inherit their dads properties, instead their uncles would share them.

I am sure that deep within you will not cast your vote for a female who aspires to be president of nigeria. The list goes on.

What is bioethics and biosafety?

In fact state the principles of brewing and the unique role of biochemistry in quality control?

In fact which university trained you?

You don't deserve a certificate, to be honest.

I am done with you.
You have not yet answered my question on where you work yet you came here to deceive people on how they can work here and there in nigeria ?

The fact that you typed about enzymology, xeno and analytical bch as being enough to design drugs simply means you know only little on drug design. What do you know on pharmacology of drugs? Or you think that the little drug examples like paracetamol you were taught in xeno is all there is? Even enzymology didn't teach you much about drug metabolism i am sure. I wonder the kind of drugs you will design without a good knowledge of pharmacology and pharm. chemistry, and pharmacognosy.

I urge you to see things beyond your imagination and level of awareness, if not, you may end up exposing your own ignorance.

It is obvious why you are not employed. If you want to be enlightened ask humbly.
You are not more enlightened than i am on biochemistry. Like i said earlier, i know that biochemistry is great research-based science, but the truth is that it works more in nations that value research. Unfortunately, nigeria is not one of such nations.

A biochemist is meant to be in research labs probing the chemical make up of all life forms with a view to improving the quality of life through publication of research findings that would guide those on the bench to work better.

Any biochemist you see working in other professions do that only when there no sufficient professionals to go round, and currently in nigeria everyone is jealously guarding their professions.

Let's tell ourselves the truth.

So much ignorance in your post my dear. If i may ask, where are you working? Lol @no company designs a drug without a biochemist. They are not even needed to design food supplement let alone drugs because pharmacists can do that with much more expertise. Stop looking at those biochemists that got employed in the 90s and early 2000s things av changed now. And yes, biochemists are not professionals because they don't have ethically defined jobs they are licensed to do [quote author=Onyiridike post=57635619]You actually think dt everybody that studied biochemistry is facing what you are facing. You simply went to school to get a degree without clear vision and plan of what to do with it.

For your information, no company designs a drug without a biochemist.

Are you sure you actually studied biochemistry?

I graduated since 2012. STOP using yourself and your friends as a yardstick. I will still study Biochemistry over and over again.

I have told you to be patient and wait for your time and STOP thinking that your problem is biochemistry. Many graduates of medicine are yet to get job.

If you continue with this mindset, your situation will never change.
After 5yrs, no good job and you think it is ok? Maybe it's okay for you as a lady, but a guy has to have something doing to be able to marry and raise a family.

As for me, i have since left biochemistry to study a professional course, and trust me, i can see a brighter future. It's good to study a course with a clearly defined career path.

I will never encourage anyone who doesn't have flair for teaching to study biochemistry in nigeria.
