funmisticqueen:You are very stupiid, you know? FYI, i did BCH before choosing to study pharmacy. In my post UDE, my score was higher than the cut off for medicine, but i chose pharmacy instead because that's my preference. And Fyi, my target is the industry where i'll make good money. Quacks like yourself should continue to run down our hospitals until the government decides to do the right thing. I'm happy you later accepted the existence of pharmacogenetics. |
helpee:You are the one exposing your lack of knowledge, honestly! Just admit you lack knowledge, simple! But your ego would not let you. |
This is why we have been saying that the pharmacists should be involved in ward rounds and in drug prescription like it's done in other climes. It is obvious from their comments here that some of our medical doctor friends are running dry on issues relating to drugs. I know some cases of ADR are idiosyncratic, but many can actually be avoided by simple genetic testing during drug prescription. |
Young lady, the fact that you went to some mushroom medical school and lack understanding about how medicine is practiced in the modern world does not mean we shouldn't work hard to get things right in nigeria. I'm a professional who's upto date, you are a quack who's stuck in the past, that's the difference! And for your information, history taking is not just about oral accounts! Learn!! [quote author=funmisticqueen post=56741520]I want you to ask not taken chloroquine before and fo you and you react, who will you blame. As for the little girl i am sure it was her first time taking the drug. . You may be on nairaland but it is obvious you are either a medical student(not MBBS i am sure), have never been in a nigerian hospital as a medical personnel, or you dont reside in this country. How many drugs will you pharmacogenetically test every patient's blood for? how much does it cost? In this country where the health budget is a fallacy and 70% healthcare financing comes out of the patients' pocket. |
helpee:You are a very stupiid person you know instead of asking questions so i can enlighten you, you are here disgracing yourself! what do you know Every dunderhead will just come to nairaland and be spewing trash about what they know nothing about.to you history taking involves just oral information. I don't blame you, i blame the nigeria corrupt system that made it possible for aszholes like yourself to bribe their way through medical school and get licensed to be killing unsuspecting patients. That's if you are a medical personnel in the first place. Imbeciile! |
Raine80:it should actually be ''more to human than meets the eye''. thanks for the correction anyway. |
Raine80:What sort of childish display is this You quoted me first after i aired my opinion on the issue being talked about, i replied you and now you are angry. I'm sorry if my responses were offensive though. |
SirVintageCock:I warned you but you seem bent on on exposing your ignorance, perhaps to impress ladies. Now, it is part of medical history taking because it involves comparing the genetic parameters of previous sufferers with those of the patient, and it is done prior to drug administration. Lol. Learn to keep silent on issues you know nothing about. |
funmisticqueen:I weep for Nigeria with people like you parading yourselves as medical personels! Now let me educate your ignorant self. There's what is called pharmacogenetic testing which involves taking samples from a patient and running genetic tests on them. The result is then matched with those of previous sufferers of the reaction to determine the suitability of the drugs for the patient. Go to good schools, they would not! |
Raine80:Was your finger itching you when you quoted me first ![]() |
SirVintageCock:it is a history based on documented information from people that share similar genetic parameters with the patient. I'll not educate you again. Even if you are a medical practitioner, you obviously belong in the past. |
Raine80:You are just blabbing incoherently like a broken congo record. The person that gave the drug i'am sure is not even a qualified nurse, and was why i said we should do away with unqualified people giving drugs. Yet, you jumped into my mention! What were you afraid of? I know that the doctor prescribes drugs { and corrected by a pharmacist}, the nurse administers and the pharmacist dispenses in our hospital settings, but the person that prescribed, dispensed and administered in this case is neither of the three professionals. |
Raine80:You are the one who displayed crass ignorance here, yet your ego won't let you own up. Fyi, i am a professional. Next time do your research before you jump into my mention. Don't make it seem like all nurses are daft. if you are ''nurse eliza'', i know many well trained nurses who are good in what they do. |
funmisticqueen:History taking does not just involve oral accounts. it could involve taking some blood samples and runing some simple genetic analysis and matching the result against a standard. That is why the first place to go when you are sick is the hospital where you can see professionals to treat the condition holistically and then a pharmacy where the pharmacist can council you and give you the right drugs. |
Raine80:that's why i am of the view that drugs need to be controlled to ensure that only licensed people administer drugs, so we can sieze their license in the event of malpractice. |
Raine80:There's what is called history taking before drugs are administered! in developed countries, it could involve what's called pharmacogenetic testing before drugs are given. Don't tell me you are a nurse and still typed the above. |
Raine80:Who diagnosed the child of the ''malaria'' and determined that that drug was suitable for her condition?? Do you know there's what is called 'history taking' that can help to determine if a particular drug will be appropriate for a patient or not? So much ignorance in nigeria! |
ziga:The person that administered the drug is not a qualified nurse. I know the different kinds of ADR, and about idiosyncratic drug reactions. What I'm saying is that there is no regulation in nigeria as to the use of drugs. Drugs need to be controlled in nigeria, otherwise our healthcare system will remain a laughing stock. We need to do away with quacks! |
TimmyPapa:Like i told you before i have a girlfriend i love so much and i'll never have cause to flirt with another girl's 'ass' and 'boobs'. You're the one who seems to have problem with that. |
it is only in nigeria that an untrained person would administer something like drugs that can kill as much as it can save, without anybody doing anything about it. Even in ghana they are enlightened enough to know the dangers of drug administration by quacks. what a country!!! |
TimmyPapa:Okay it is now my age? You guys can't stop to amaze me. And this is the same person complaining about igbos not allowing them marry their daughters! You see, we know you guys very well and that is we don't marry our cherished daughters to you. He is even here justifying infidelity, yet can't see the reason why real igbos don't marry their daughters to you. Smh |
what license does the nurse have to administer injection in the first place?? The other day it was an untrained ''chemist'' killing a senator with doses of ethnical drugs and now this, yet nigerians would still not learn to be cautious with drugs and always see a licensed professional to determine if, which and what quantity that is needed. |
alexialin:You people just continue to make excuses for your irresponsibility! Making it seem like it is not possible for a man to be faithful to one woman. If some catholic preists can live their whole lives without having sex at all, then it is irresponsility for any man to claim he is not okay with one wife. |
TimmyPapa:I am 100% faithful to her and she knows she is the only one that has my medicine. |
2dugged:And you think that laws will thrive in the face of religios bigotry? The truth is that atheism is more in favour of state than theism. Atheists are more concerned about how to better their present life and not deluded about some imaginary life hereafter. |
TimmyPapa:My guy, check most homes around you, igbo guys of this modern age don't marry more than one wife. It is mostly among igbo guys that you can still find responsible men who are 100% faithful to their wives.Yes, i am very sure i'll be faithful to my lovely lady when i marry her. On no condition will i cheat on her. |
TimmyPapa:Everybody knows that yoruba men cheat and most of the publicized divorce cases due to infidelity and domestic violence involve yoruba men. So it's not hasty generalization. You don't want me to start mentioning more names, do you ![]() |
Reason i will go against a yoruba guy marrying any igbo girl i care about is because over the years, marriage between yoruba and igbo ladies have always been unsuccessful. The root cause of this being the yoruba guys penchant for infidelity and domestic violence. Tonto dike et al readily comes to mind. Call me tribalist if you like but my people have a saying that a wise man doesn't wait until he experience the same ill fate as his neighbor when he could easily learn from his neighbor's mistakes. |
The worst is that those ''sugar daughters'' and irresponsible men who peddle such lies have made some good ladies doubt the possibility of finding faithful men out there. Pls ladies, find yourselves responsible men who will drink only from your occean of water. Don't expose yourselft to unnecessary risks of infection for whatever reasons! Don't settle for a public toilet when you can have a personalized one in your private home. You deserve better! |
^^^I know you're lying, unless you're gay! You know, sometimes we try to pretend like we don't fall, but it's all a facade. |
hemartins:That feeling is part of it. I know i love the babe with the right kind of love. I love her like i do love my sibs. It's not about bodily attraction alone because i chose her over another girl some guys would consider prettier. It is deeper than just the body! |
''How much he loves god''. The deception continues! Guys make una hustle o and take care of una babes o! |
