Onyiridike:Like i said earlier the job opportunities for biochem are limited in nigeria. Find out the last time those organizations you mentioned employed biochemists. My dear, don't be deceived. Any ad you see that calls for biochemists, you always see microbiology, food science and tech, chemistry, ind chemistry, nutrition and dietetics etc. No specific ad for bch like you will see for professionals. Since 2012 none of my former classmates has gotten anything better than teaching jobs in private sec schools where they are paid #10000-#15000. Is that one life? Like i like said before, it seems you are still in school. By the time you graduate you will discover that the reality on ground is different from what you were told. I have since gone back to school to do a professional course, and my dear, the difference is very clear |
All i see here is that the lady gets jealous about the love the guy shares with his mum. All these other stories about the guy saying that he would not live should anything happens to his mum and all that are just hogwash. Perhaps, the guy said that just to make her understand how he cherishes his mum and here she is making mountain out of it. Selfish ladies everywhere! |
Onyiridike:Incase you are still a student, my advice is to plan towards enrolling for masters immediately you graduate and serve, or if you know you don't have passion for lecturing, write JAMB now and enroll for a professional course, or you can go for DE when you graduate. Don't say you were not warned! |
Onyiridike:I'm sure you are still in school and has no idea of the state of things in the Nigerian labour market. FYI, i have a 2-1 in biochem and whatever i type here is based on personal experience. I know that biochem is a good research-oriented course that should propel one into making some ground breaking discoveries in science. But my dear, there is currently very little or no job prospects for biochemists in Nigeria. When i finished my first degree, i spent over a year in the labour market, and almost on daily basis, i sent out applications for jobs. You will see adverts for ''medical reps'' and all that, but when you attend interviews you discover they are indians looking for cheap labour and you will be required to surrender your certificate to hawk some products for them. The only job i managed to get was with one-man owned pharm company and the experience was hellish. All what i typed b4 were based on experience. |
I remember when i was doing my 1st degree in biochem, they were deceiving us that you can work ''anywhere''. They would say 'you can work in research institution'. When nigerian government doesn't invest in research 'You can can work in laboratory'. For where?! When the med lab guys have colonized all biochemistry roles in the labs 'You can work as medical reps in pharmaceutical company'. This one is a grand deception, because you don't the knowledge of drugs to detail drugs to pharmacists, doctors etc, no good pharmaceutical coy will employ you because they know you don't have the required drug knowledge. Only some one man businesses that want to maximize profit may look your way because they can't afford a pharmacist, and trust me, the condition is always bad and most of such companies fail one the long run. You won't even enjoy it because your lack of drug knowledge will always make listening to you so boring when you are talking to the healthcare professionals. Your best bet is lecturing. |
Naija ladies have just displayed the selfishness which they are known for on this thread. I know deep down they always wish a guy could kill his mom so they can have it all. Yet they would love their own moms o, but expect the guy to abandon his own as if doing that would stop them from dumping the guy when the chips are down. Only foolish guys would allow a lady come between him and his mom and family generally. |
Antoeni:Your own mother must be a bondage to you! |
I must marry a colleague of mine. I can't cope with a lady from a different professional background because it will be hard to flow with her. For instance when i am talking about drugs she won't understand a thing. That would be boring mhen! |
joceey:Fooool. And you must have met all the men from the east that never went to school And also those from the west and the other regions that never went to school as well I have a great life, you should be concerned about your poor self. I am sure you have foolishness running in your linage, no wonder you shamelessly display it on nairaland. Go and borrow sense because you sure need it. I am done with you. |
Meeloreh:Better go and do Msc if you have the money or go for a DE in a professional medical course. Biochem in Nigeria is just big name with very little job opportunities. |
joceey:And the men from east don't go to school Your stupidity is legendary! |
When a lady says she is 28, just add 10 to that and you arrive at 38. She won't be this desperate if she's just 28. |
You want to break the hearts of those who love you just because one useless man you call husband doesn't Or don't you have family members who love and care about you? It will be very selfish and foolish of you to end your life because of one man.Get a divorce and move on with your life madam. You deserve to be happy. This world belongs to all of us, you should have your own share of the happiness it brings. |
tetula123:That is why you need to be careful in choosing the one to marry. Don't be too concerned about physical attributes, but let the lady's good character be your major reason for choosing her. One love bro. |
tetula123:I have had experiences and so i know what i am saying. And btw, i am not about bf/gf things. I have a different opinion when it is not a marriage relationship. I won't expect a girl i have not proposed to to shun other guys and be with me alone, unless i have proposed and she accepted. What if marriage didn't work out between us, and age no longer on her side after years of dating me I won't be happy with myself for having delayed her, yet i can't just ignore every reasonable reasons not to marry her just because we have dated for long.My concern is on marriage, and i know that over 80% of married couples are faithful, especially in igboland where i come from. I may not know about your own side though. |
Daboomb:You are such a fooool you know. Perhaps, you are the heartless ''pastor'', that is why you are exhibiting this level of anguish. Heartless hedioot! |
DanseMacabre:Not all women are weak and not all men are strong. Life is not a straight road! I don't know why some of you reason in one direction. Life is a variety! I hope you meet a woman who will disfigure your bones someday. No be by mouth o. This is why many abused men die in silence. The court should hasten up and set the man free abeg. |
tetula123:You have just been unlucky to be meeting the wrong people. Perhaps your experience may boil down to my earlier assertion that we tend to fall for the wrong people who know how to lie themselves into our hearts with words or by flaunting their fake bodies. |
tetula123:This is so not true! A good number of people out there don't cheat. Only irresponsible people cheat. The problem is that most times people don't like to date/marry those that would be loyal and faithful to them, due to some baseless reasons that hold no water. For instance, a lady would reject a responsible guy who isn't living a fake lifestyle and be running after an irresponsible lair who's able to tell her what she wants to hear and not what's the reality. Yet after marriage she expects honesty from the same guy. |
Only insecured ladies fight over men. Men are not babies! If it's not you in his heart, forget it. Because even if you fight and win him for whatever reason, he would always go back to where his heart is. If he loves and respects you, he would not put you in a position to fight. You won't even need to stress yourself. |
Why did she have to put herself into trouble because of one irresponsible man? When you warn them to be careful in choosing a man to marry they won't listen. |
Omonoba1:So for ur mind na only engineering boys dey join cult i laf u my guy. |
Halfpenny:Most 16yrs old girls are physically matured and can carry babies without qualms. The law about age of sexual consent is not purely about physical maturation, but psychological maturation. It is believed that people below 18 are not yet psychologically matured for sexual relationships. Tho, countries may differ in regards to consent age. Unless the laws in the Uk puts age of consent at 16, this woman has commited child abuse and should be prosecuted, otherwise it would amount to double standard should a man be prosecuted in the future for having sexual affair with a 16yo. |
keepingmum:It's terrible how nairaland ladies always look for every means to twist the story and put the blame on the man whenever issues like this op's come up. Madam, in ur mind the woman is a saint? |
OLUWAcypris1:I almost gave up on marriage while reading responses from the femalefolks on this thread until i read your response. Kudos! It's painful and degrading that a man will be busy sweating it out to fend for his wife and family while his wife is getting fu^ckked thoroughly by another man. It is even more demeaning when the man has defied all temptation from single ladies and other irresponsible men to stay faithful in the marriage. |
labonita1:WISDOM. And the babe might even be among those claiming ''hooked '' and ''not searching '' because of one abroad bobo that might have alot of issues on him. Dude might even be a scammer waiting for the right moment to strike. Naija babes i hail o! |
Daboomb:The man obviously abandoned the woman to die and afterwards came to claim her property. That man is evil! If not, why make a fuss about burrying the woman in a plot of land she struggled to acquire. I am pretty sure that if he had treated the woman right her people will not stand against him having the land, that is if their motive of burrying her on the was to stop the man from having the land. It might even just be a way of showing respect for her efforts in acquiring the land. Whichever is the case, the man doesn't deserve the land. |
Where are my aba guys when you need them ![]() Corner the idiotic army man one side and settle his case ones and for all. Nonsense. |
My people should know that all the tricks they employ to move drugs have been busted. It's time to quit this risky sh1t but they seem not to care. |
EgunMogaji:I have my evidence. Infact the evidence is everywhere in Nigeria for you to see. The poor performance of the nigerian police is enough evidence. |
EgunMogaji:I don't even need to waste my energy on this because i know the boy would definitely change that mindset when he comes of age. Only those who have no other choice join nigerian police. Period |
