No be only drawing board. Na panel dem go set this time. Useless administrators. They let Rohr stay too long even when it was clear we were not moving forward. They appointed Yobo (apprentice) and Aigbogun (serial failure). They flirted with Peseiro (another lightweight coach). Then they gave Eguavoen too much powers, a coach who was carried away with Westerhoff’s philosophy of the early 90s. That’s mediocrity in continuity. Triniti: Tears all over the nation, time to go back to our favorite place “ drawing board “ |

3 CBS and 5 midfielders would not have given u guys room to shoot. You saw our weakness and capitalized on it. It wasn’t Okoye, but you guys still tried it and it worked. That’s a coach who studied our team. Did Eguavoen do his homework on Ghana? He didn’t clearly, looking at the players he invited at midfield. leathalbeast: yeah more like a 3-5-2 would have suited ur team. Two defensive hustlers who can also tackle and play dirty at times and an intelligent attacking midfielder who will feed the two attackers... He could have switched to wing play and made bassey a wing back... But ur coach head die well well |

We are facing the consequences in every sphere of our lives as a nation DrLikita12: We owe because we are greedy and shortsighted. We know we won't face consequences when we find someone who is willing to let us get away with it, so we do just that. This is not specific to football. Government and private cooperations are also guilty. Many Nigerians know that they can get away with this sort of behavior by bribing someone else. Police, members of your own ethnic group, random people etc. Few people face consequences here. Many people are shortsighted too. We care more about our image than doing the hard work. That's why The NFF is always looking for yes men. Anyway, let me not bore you with an essay. We all know that most of our problems in this country (including football problems) are self inflicted. |

We didn’t need to play a back 4. Wing play is not even Ghana’s strength. We needed to choke up that midfield add a second striker. Let Aina/Calvin do their thing. Our forwards needed more service. With two forwards we would have won both games. A switch to 3-5-2 would have confused then. Ghana studied us well and prepared for us. We didn’t change a thing. TheGoodJoe:
A big congratulations to Ghana and I hope they do us proud at the World Cup. Congea again to them. |

Why do we owe? If u are looking for coaches you can owe, don’t expect good results in the long run. Poor investment gives you poor returns. DrLikita12: How many quality coaches can you owe for that long? One or two months is one thing, anything more than that is suspicious. |

Rohr has to go, there is nothing to regret about it. Rohr tried but he's exhausted tactically. What's the Essence bokoraharam football when we aren't parading Bandits as Players.
We missed out, fine. Let's start afresh with Amuneke. Capital No to foreign Coach. |

You didn’t say hire a low quality foreign coach (the next step). then we do the cycle again. DrLikita12: What were we going there to do playing like this anyway? Congrats to Ghana, they clearly wanted it more. Next step is to hire a foreign coach that we can owe salary, fire him because another minister of sports does not like him, and replace him with another local coach/ex player. |

That’s what our wingers are not good at. So it’s really no point. We could have built a team that supports our forward at the midle. We are paying for Rohr’s sins. And Eguavoen have been part of the problem. leathalbeast: yes it all about the tactics, when ighalo came in he freed osimhen and he got a few chances but the crosses too werent good enough |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:13pm On Mar 29, 2022 |
That's the problem. Making the right tactical decisions. We are blessed with forwards and we have depth. Starting with Rorh, we should have been building a team that is reliant with forwards not natural wingers. And of course finding the right midfielders to support. Our fullbacks are decent on the flanks. modified all our wingers love to do is dribble. Except Dennis and Lookman who are quite new to the team. leathalbeast: thanks bro ! It was a tight game, your coach should gone for two strikers in the second half but he brought ighalo in too late |

That what you get when you make sentimental call ups and leave the midfield scanty. fabyom: Sack Rohr! Amuneke "Africa Pep". Never again will an indigenous coach will ever be appointed! I can't breathe! Played Shehu in DM. Brought Musa in when we needed a goal? Smh! |

Clueless local coaches. I hope the likes o goodjoe and co are happy? When we told them Eguavoen is by far the worse coach naija has ever had, they argued and argued..

Who would you rather start? Omeruo and Awaziem? I am expecting better passing game. when something enter Balogun head he is a good carrier of the ball. semid4lyfe: Hmm, I'm not sold on the central defence.
Ekong and Balogun are not comfortable with ball at feet, cannot play out from the back, tend to boot the ball forward, yield possession when pressed and are also prone to errors.
I hope the team plays well today and gets the W but I'm as nervous as a cat in a dog pound. |

I see the addiction to wing play. But the selection is right. Would have still loved Sanusi to start. Overall, I am very okay with the starting list. |
