What is this one saying. The fellowship certificate that a consultant holds is far superior than a PHD.

Before you can become a consultant in the medical field, you will have to train for 3 years. Then you go and write your part 1 exams. After passing your part 1 exam, you train for another 3 years, in which you must submit your dissertation and sit for another exam called part 2 exam. After passing your part 2 exam, you become a fellow (consultant, for easy understanding). That means, for a doctor to become a consultant, you must have spent a minimum of 6 years in training (including writing papers). Minimum I said, because in some areas you spend 7 years or more.

How many years do you spend to get your PhD?

Let me stop here. But don't ever equate lecturing in the medical field and other fields because lecturing in medical field requires clinical experience which you don't need your PhD to get.

Ignorance is a disease, and that's what you just displayed here. Not even in US Ivy league institutions are general discipline certifications ever equated with the noble, hierarchically progressive medical education. The years of training for a typical medical specialty or fellowship are even more than that of common discipline doctorate.

If this RUBBISH is allowed, even a medical student can easily bag a PhD while still an undergrad...

Reason:
1. Most PhDs today can be bagged online and
2. Medical students are pragmatically smarter than other category of students.

NUC or Anybody wonders why medical school grades are left at just Pass/Fail and not the elementary A, B, C, D & F obtained in other purely academic disciplines?

How can a medical doctor that doesn't know mathematics be smarter than an engineer?

Those doctors spend 6 years to get BSc n MSc, they spend 4 - 6 years as resident doctors to become consultants, it would be evil for them to need to spend another 4 - 6 years to get a PhD

Itd the same for engineer

5 years- BSc
3 years - MSc
4 years- PhD

4 years residency(work experience)- Certified Engineer

Yet you don't see us complaining. Remember Engineering also deals with lives, more so properties
