Which immigration program are you applying for?

Opymistic:
Please I want to find out the best hospital to do medicals exam for Canada permanent residence is it Q-life at VI or IOM at Ikeja and please how can i fast track it because I have not received medical request form from CIC and I learnt that this can take months but if medicals is done and sent in it would be updated automatically by CIO. Kindly reply to ismaila.oyetunmbi@gmail.com as I dont know how to use nairaland very well.
However, if you have any in house at Q life clinic that could be of help I wouldnt mind. Thanks in anticipation fams

For change of name? The affidavit should suffice.
ddymples:
Thank you.

Another challenge is that i have misplaced my newspaper change of name publication. What can be done as the marriage is over 10yrs o. I don search tire.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 8:25am On Feb 12, 2019
I think it can fly.

However, 1 and 2yrs provide the same no of points for foreign work experience. What did you do for NYSC, maybe you can add it to make it 3yrs.

Bubblefairy:
Thanks for the response,
I did the baking job for about a year before I got my present job which I have been working for about 2 years now.
can I claim:
30hours per week of 1 year (full time)
15 hours per week of two years ( part time)
Making it two years altogether?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 7:33pm On Feb 11, 2019
If you use WES, you can use either WAEC or NECO. It doesn't matter.

The other problem with WES is the verification of results. If your wife's alma mater is a school with a solid relationship with WES or you have a contact who can help you hustle the verification, you can choose WES.

Otherwise, ICES and CES are other options (though ICES reserves the right to do verification if they wish).

dejay01:
I need advise on this issue...My wife has a masters degree in environment but the issue is with her o levels ,she combined waec and neco results. Please advise on which body we should use for her ECA. I can do Wes but I need her ECA evaluation as she will be the Primary applicant because of age and work description.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 7:27pm On Feb 11, 2019
It can fly.

You will need to fill the customer service job in your post-ITA application to avoid misrepresentation.

Therefore, the challenge will be in reconciling the number of hours you worked in your "day" job and the number of hours you worked in the "side" job.

When using a part-time job as your primary NOC, you are allowed to claim +/- 15hrs per week.

If you use exactly 15hrs per week, it will take double the time of normal full time work of 30 hrs per week to reach 1560 hrs/1yrs i.e. 2yrs instead of 1yr and 6yrs to get the maximum equivalent points for 3yrs. Check here for more.

All these must be backed with dated evidence.

Bubblefairy:
Good day,
I plan to also apply for Express entry but I plan to use self employed as a baker, I currently have a job as a customer service representative but that NOC is not acceptable.
Is it possible for me to claim self employed under the FSW program?
I don't have CEC documents but I can get reference letters from my customers and even cooperate bodies. can this fly?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 7:06pm On Feb 11, 2019
I think so.
jsquire:
Thanks @joo2018.

My AOR is Feb 1. Currently waiting for medical passed and biometrics. I already submitted an LOE for some other items but forgot to include this PCC ish. Should i raise a CSE? Thanks again.

LOE, Client Information.

ddymples:
Hello my people.

I am in the process of applying and decided to fill a schedule A for my hubby that was denied a UK visa at some point. Where will i be uploading it? Is it the LOE place?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 5:56pm On Feb 11, 2019
You need to clear things and not muddle it up in your mind.

For work experience, you only need reference letter in CIC format. However, you may also add either or both payslips and SOA of salary account if you so choose.

For POF, you will present bank reference letter in CIC format for the joint account.

Biometrics: Yes, you will need to give another biometrics.

Frances86:
Goodafternoon great people. I am the PA.I have my POF in a joint account with my spouse. My salary account has no significant savings. I have applied for 6months payslip from my place of work. In the circumstance, will the 6months payslip dispense with printing a 6months statement of my salary account? Since am not using my salary account as POF,do I still need to get SOA and bank ref letter from my salary bank account? Or just the payslip will suffice alongside SOA, bank ref letter from me and my hubby's joint account,?

Secondly, i have an existing 5yrs trv visa issued last year in which I did biometrics last year. I am post ITA now . Will I be requested to do another biometrics ??

Please i need responses on this. God bless u all
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 5:50pm On Feb 11, 2019
Since you got the PCC from an organization different from what CIC recommended, a LOE might be in order.

When was your AOR and what stage are you now?
jsquire:
Hello. Pls i have a question. Since i read the story about the guy whose application was cancelled because he submitted a state-owned PCC and not FBI PCC, i have been paranoid about my application. I submitted just last week.

I lived in Sierra Leone for 8 months in 2017 and i got the PCC from their CID HQ in Freetown. On the CIC site, they said the Ministry of Justice in Freetown is the designated organization. It happens that the CID is the only organisation that issues PCCs in Sierra Leone so i went ahead and submitted. I'm thinking i should have written an LOE to explain this. Should i be worried? undecided undecided huh huh

I've picked it up. No change but hubby's speaking changed from 7 to 7.5.

Still not enough aa CRS is at 431. We move ahead.

My consolation is this "the vision is for an appointed time though it tarry, it will surely come".

Hi,

It will be very tough.

The job "tailor" is a "B" skilled job under NOC 6342, but without minimum OND/HND or BSc, you will not have enough points to be eligible for skilled workers FSW.

On the other hand "tailor" is not one of the eligible NOCs under skilled trades FST.

The guy is therefore scamming you. What he will try to get you is a visiting visa TRV.

psychalade:
Good day everyone,
please can somebody please enlighten me; how a skilled garment maker/tailor with a high school certificate, can go about the process of Canada federal skilled immigration visa process?

I'm I qualified to apply or not?

Please I need experienced answers, someone claimed he can help me process it within six months for a fee of #1.3 million, I suspects he wants to scam me. wink
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 2:04pm On Feb 11, 2019
The work experience should fly.

Under work experience, you will pick 2009 has the year you became qualified to practice. Under education, you will fill in the details of your HND. You will select "No" to answer the question of if you have an ECA for the qualification.

When submitting your eAPR, ensure you include your HND certificate with your other Education docs.

Uche8419:
Hello,
Please I am a little bit confused about work experience for FSW and seriously need help from experienced people in this forum.
I am claiming work experience from Dec 2012 but I only sent my Bsc(2016), and ACCA (achieved member in feb 2016) for WES evaluation due to the delays I perceived of sending my HND but I had my HND in 2009 which i used to secure the job that I am claiming work experience from.
Please I want to know if the work experiences will count for me since the credentials I evaluated are ahead of some work experiences that I want to claim.

Thanks.

Congrats @oluphilip2008 on your landing.

I'm interested in the shrink-wrapping. Pls confirm if it is standard procedure that all "ghana must go" bags be shrink-wrapped at the airport i.e. you cannot complete your check-in without the shrink-wrapping.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 5:16pm On Feb 10, 2019
Use the CRS tool to simulate your possible points and see if you get 440+: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Then spend some quality time with page 1.

Pardon my curiosity as am well aware this would have been answered in the previous thread..I don search tire

Just started this journey today and as a fresh applicant, do I have a chance with only my degree in Engineering and four years experience in banking or any need for PGD to supplement my degree cert as I don't have masters?

For this Q: what additional qualifications did they need to get to practice there and all related questions, check here and read the law part.

For the other Qs, after reading the above, you can ask in the thread.
Feistyoly:
Canada has been on my mind for a very very long time and now I see myself actually taking steps to actualize the dream.

Please, I want to ask the Laayers in the house who have sucessfully relocated, how they started out their lives there, what sort of jobs did they do for a start, for survival there, what additional qualifications did they need to get to practice there and all related questions.

Please, I'll really appreciate it if I can get answers to these questions.

Thanks in advance.

Congrats.

What do we do? Should we submit all three via Accra Webform and then go ahead to submit our passports with the hard copies of the forms mentioned in the PPR?: I think that is a good idea.

When should we go ahead to submit our passports?: You already have the PPR, what are you waiting for?

Much grateful for this.

I am one of silent readers on nairaland since this great platform helped me achieved my dream of coming to canada few years ago. I think it is high time for me to give back to this wonderful platform. I quite agree that few nigerians move to BC because everyone believe that BC is expensive to live in but you start your life in all these cities you mentioned which are affordable like the rest of the cities in canada. Another reason is that nigerians are few in BC so, some of us relate to white people a lot because you don't see many nigerians to relate with grin. So, people goes to Calgary, toronto, manitoba etc just to be in the midst of nigerians. And so other reasons personally known to nigerians.

Hi.

See link for forms:https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides.html

For the POF, depends on the exact request. If it is for updated POF, I believe the reference letter in CIC format is adequate.

If it is for statement of account, I believe it should be stated in the ADR.

Bukzie:
Good evening all.

Can anyone please confirm if it is okay to submit a POF letter in the CIC format only (i.e. without the statement of account) for ADR?

I also need to confirm the correct links for the following forms please:

 Schedule A Online: Submit a completed Schedule A Online form for yourself and spouse.

 Additional Family Info IMM5406: Submit a separate and newly completed Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures for yourself and spouse.

These are the additional documents requested by CIC. It's been a very long wait but it will surely end in praise.

We need help with these inquiries urgently.

Thank you.
