It is a material fact. He needs to declare it. He should add LOE explaining what happened. If he fails to declare it and it is discovered, that's straight 5yrs ban for misrepresentation. Kentz3: Hello guys I have a question I wll need your suggestions and contributions abt,I have a friend who just got an ITA in express entry and he was banned by UK embassy 12 years ago when he applied for a student visa to go for his bsc program then, please is there need for him to declare this now or he should continue with his application without talking about it, urgent replies wl be highly appreciated. . |

I believe you can. See IRCC's definitions: "Annulled Marriage: This is a marriage that is legally declared as not valid. An annulment can also be a declaration by the Catholic Church that the marriage union did not have a binding force. Common- Law: This means that you have lived continuously with your partner in a marital-type relationship for a minimum of one (1) year. Divorced: This means that you are officially separated and have legally ended your marriage.
Legally Separated: This means that you are married, but no longer living with your spouse.
Married: This means that you and your spouse have had a ceremony that legally binds you to each other. Your marriage must be legally recognized in the country where it was performed and in Canada. Single: This means that you have never been married and are not in a common-law relationship. Widowed: This means that your spouse has died and that you have not re-married or entered into a common-law relationship." See hereThe separation date is relevant to IRCC because according to Canada's Divorce Act, in order to file for divorce in Canada you must first complete a full one year separation period except in the cases of adultery or cruelty (see here and here). You are legally separated as soon as you and your spouse are ‘living separate and apart’. Check these external threads for similar experiences: this and this. One recurring part of the discussions is that IRCC might later ask for your divorce papers before granting you PR. This is to ensure that you cannot sponsor the ex for residency later. olub123456789: Hi Guys, I am new here and not sure how to post on Naira Land... but here goes.
first I want to thank you for the wealth of knowledge shared here so far. I have received an ITA for express entry and I have a few more days to go before my time to apply is up (been gathering my requirements). However, I am unsure about how to fill my marital status in the form. In the initial EE profile, I put Legally Separated because, officially, I am going through a divorce process that has not been finalized. I have the legal documents following the proceedings of the divorce so far and plan to share it with my application.
However, at the PR profile level, there is a compulsory field that says I should state when the marriage ended and I am not sure what to out there is the Divorce is still pending. should I just wait the divorce is over. I have seen online that people have applied even while going through a divorce so i know there is a solution for this. I just don't know what to do here. Please see the photo attached.
Can I put the date of the last time I saw him as the End date?
Thanks in advance |

Hmm. You are implying that the price for kids remain the same. If so, it still has an edge for families of 3 and above. 234ng44uk: I've just been informed of increased medical fees at Q-Life family clinic. Adults now 35k against 40k at IOM. The ridiculously long waiting period to get an appointment with Q-Life and now the price increase close to that of IOM now makes IOM the best choice except your family is really really large to make 5k difference significant. |

Word! Don't put full stop where God has placed a comma. Congrats again Sis. 2 very tiny complaints, very tiny. You promoted Newmum from 0615 to 0625 and demoted me from 2018 to 2000. Nono16: SUMMARY: As a last note, Pls don’t put a full stop where God has placed a comma. Don’t fret and don’t give up. Do what you have to do, be very clear and concise in your application. Avoid discrepancies, and long turanchi.
My love goes to NewMum0625, To.jued, sms.live, mcs.tan18, joo2000, ifeo.ma77 and a host of others. Newmum actually replied me repeatedly, answering my questions via mail in a very detailed manner, ….Toj.ued too, but she refused to give me her num lol. Then there was this guy in PH that kept replying me, he even gave me his contact to call him. May God reward you all.
I will be open to help anyone with questions that I can answer, but remember no 2 applications are exactly alike. Use your discretion to act, and always read up page 1. |

Some have submitted only the Tbill certificate and gotten PPR. Other also add the bank reference letter for their savings/current account. Read through PPR timelines in this thread and earlier threads and pay attention to the POF parts. Do whatever gives you peace of mind. LecturerIFE: Thanks. I have got the Tbill certificate, but my bank isn't willing to issue anything else beside that. Given that the investment was done for the sole purpose of using it for POF, I am worried that IRCC may raise questions later if I use only the certificate. |

School address. Look at it this way, if you schooled abroad, will you be asking this question? Having said that, I believe some people might have used their home address without issues and always ensure you give consistent information on all visa applications. Jobs for international medical graduates (IMG) are not straight forward in Canada. You need to count the cost and if yes, develop a career strategy. Check for discussions hereinnamorat: Good evening house, my husband is a medical doctor. Please how possible is it for him to get a job over there if he applies from Nigeria. Thanks. Kmgb1: No its not wakanaow, wakanow didnt want to add her sibling cos they were estranged and she didnt need the points anyway but also didnt want to misrepresent by saying No to the question This other person im referring to said her sibling didnt list her at all when she got her PR,so what she did was get all the proof of relationship and submitted and no issue was raised. I just wish the person will read this our convo and speak up 234ng44uk: Here's the post you referenced https://www.nairaland.com/4843199/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/223#73994539 If you check the link referenced, @saidato didn't also need the sibling points. "Sibling point: My sister in-law whom I claimed points from did not include my spouse in her application, however she gave me all supporting documents plus Jara. Please note without the sibling points my CRS would have been 441. The CRS draw cut off was 441 and the tie breaker rule was in my favour. I knew I would be safe so I didn't reject the ITA. I also wrote an LOE to explain it." As to whether there may be implications for not adding your family to your application, @clock89 has provided an example. I will continue my search for more. |

Hmm. I don't remember that PPR story o. However, I do remember court cases from justice.ca where some guys PR statuses were revoked due to not mentioning some family members in their applications. It might take a while to re-check. Kmgb1: Someone on this thread told us how he wasnt mentioned in his siblings application but went ahead to present proof of relationship and got PPR,dont remember the moniker though and im surprised u missed that post as well. Besides, think about it if my sibling excludes my name for any reason, perhaps enstrangement, you coming out to prove your relationship can never be seen as misrepresentation in my opinion. |

No. If it is attempted, they are risking the PR status of the half-brother for misrepresentation. OYASALOF: Hello all, please is it possible to claim 15 points from ones half brother that's already in Canada but he didn't include his halfsisters name in his application? Thank you |

Not a problem. You filled the right info on your eAPR for you to have gotten the placeholder. I believe you are covered. melarose: Wow I actually wrote no for this spouse education in my ee profile before ITA coz i wasn’t claiming points for it, but after I received ITA there was a placeholder for spouse’s degree which I still uploaded and submitted. Is this an issue really?if so, please what do I do? |

What will be your crs score without hubby's ECA? Youtook: Good evening everyone. Please, I've got a little challenge. ICES is taking forever to send hubby's ECA & I'm trying to beat time & hopefully get ITA before my next birthday in May.
