The cabals is using the South against themselves so they can allow for consensus because all these #1 politicians who can not win election in their own LG all come out means some people are sponsoring them to do so. Can Nnamani, Nigeria, Amaechi, Bello, etc win 2 states on their own without others helping them. Amaechi can't win Rivers, and so all others except Bello who can win his state by his gunmen. How do they think SW will use BAT structure for them.of he doesn't get the ticket. He might allow Atiku in PDP get the win instead. No permanent friends or enemies they say. |

princeeze1: Where married couples are involved, there should be boundaries! I used to have a bestie who was like a sister from work place when we were both unmarried. After I got married, she continued to be free around my place and with my family, and this caused huge tensions between myself and wifey. Mind you, there was never a thing between us, no feelings, no lust. God so kind, she found someone and got married and I consciously tried to tone down and avoid her altogether. When she enquiries why, I was blunt and told her that she was married and I did not want her hubby to feel awkward and she understood. Then the devil struck one night she had a disagreement with her hubby and since we lived in same city, she angrily left and landed in my house. I noticed it was marital issues and requested her hubby’s number so I could speak with him, at least let him know she was in my place that night, she refused, all the while , her hubby was calling and she refused picking up. As God would have it my phone rang and I never knew her hubby had my number as I did not have his. The moment he introduced himself, I informed him his wife was in my place, he did not allow me land, he was like “no problem, the two of you can enjoy yourself and have a nice life”. It took God, the presence of my wife in the house to finally convince her hubby about my own version of events. Would I blame him? No! Was it his insecurities as some would want to frame it? No also! Now I understood clearly how my wife felt at the initial stage in marriage when she frequently featured in our home, I juxtaposed it with how her hubby felt. I also imagined how I would feel if a male bestie featured regularly in my wife’s life. No definition would be good enough, opposite sex bestie is a sign of absolute disrespect to your spouse!!! You are absolutely correct. Our prayers is that the Holy Spirirt will help us to flee all appearances of evil. Let us all pray to have a sweet home and be contented. The OP was not contented enough with her husband not chatting along her mindset as she wish triggered the whole journey. That was the avenue the devil used to lucnh the attack. Many of us have passed this way but God saved us too. Would anyone want his/her spouse also taste this,No. So keep to your spouse and find way to be compatible. |

Rotimi as King is a man of few words, but is not afraid to use those when needed because they are full of venom, I remembered when He criticized the Dullard. Rotimi Amaechi is one of the most hardworking ministers if not the most hardworking Minister in Buhari's regime. He was an outstanding governor and is a man capable Of Leading Nigeria come 2023. Rotimi is a king, kings don't beg, they decree. I think Rotimi should declare his interest. Tinubu and his urchins knows, that Niger Delta may have many Tribes but are politically united when it comes to presidential elections and will vote one of their own instead of an outsider. They know Amaechi is a more accepted candidate in the South south, North and East maybe not no in the west. Let no one here disturb me with nonsense news about Buhari and his nonsense South Africa Trade fair and nonsense. No cross me today o. I fit beat person
The gas finished yesterday. I told my wife that yesterday that I will buy the gas today because I needed to get to work and somehow raise money to augment what I have to be able to buy the gas. I told her to use the kerosene stove that yesterday and this morning. Guess her reply? She said she can't use kerosene even for a day. That even her Mum in the village does not use kerosene stove. She said a few other unprintable things. For the sake of my 3 children I still had to buy the gas today.
I had not eaten in my house for a month now. The reason is that she said that they money I gave her for upkeep in October was not enough (I give her 62.5% of my monthly salary every month for our home upkeep). As a result she refused to give me food from around the middle of the month when she said the money had finished. She cooked for herself and the children (possibly from her own salary). When I gave her upkeep money for this month I told her not bother keeping food for me so that the money will go far enough. That's where we are till now. I have no intention of ever eating her food until she acknowledges that she was wrong and apologizes.
Now I know this WON'T happen. She will rather die than admit she's wrong or apologize. This is why I know that the mistake of a marriage is heading for the rocks and I am ready for it. Nonsense and ingredients. I have endured this nonsense for 15 years. I am done. Anything whe won happen tomorrow, make e happen today. . Family › Re: I Broke Up With Her by Joyrise: 4:57pm On Mar 04, 2021 |
bwambasolomon: I have a fiancée whom I started dating about two years ago. We work together and we are on the same level, and earn the same salary. Each time we hanged out to just have fun, if we got to a place where prices were too expensive, I would say to her but this things are much cheaper elsewhere.
For example, we went to a place though inside the same premises, one part of the lounge sells bottled water for 250 while the other one sells bottled water for 500, she then suggested that we go to the part where water was sold for 500. Note that it was in the same premises and there was absolutely no difference between the two, it's not like one was VIP area and the other was not. We ended up going to the 500 naira side. All that we ate which of course was double the price, I paid.
Each time we went to the mall, we buy things normally. But there's something about malls which some of you may have noticed, certain things such as pots, plastic rubbers, electronics, and so on are usually unreasonably exorbitant. So I said it would be better for us not to buy things that were too expensive that we could get outside for cheaper prices, but we could buy other things whose prices were reasonable. The next thing she started saying was that I don't have class, it's classy people that buy such things.
So one day we went to a pharmacy in that same mall, because she wanted to get some drugs, the price they called for her was about three times what it was outside, so she said it was better to go outside to buy it. So I just told her that since she has class she should buy it now, the next thing she started insulting me, she gave me the insult of my life. That wasn't the only scenario, there were many other cases like that.
She had started to stay with me after a while. Every thing in the house belongs to me, and I made sure everywhere was conducive for us. Air conditioners every and so on, good house, good compound, surveillance cameras and so on. Initially I was shouldering all responsibilities like food, the car washer who washes the both of our cars, the security man, fuel in the generator, NEPA light, repairs in the house and so on.
Please note that we work in the same place and earn same amount. Sometimes when I was short of cash, since I knew that her own money would still be there, I would borrow from her to buy food stuffs and other miscellaneous, and pay back by next salary.
She contributed just about 10% of expenditures in the house which was majorly just food stuffs. Note that I buy much more foodstuffs 5 times more than what she buys.
That was not just it, the relationship was usually filled with arguments, I can hardly have a conversation with her, she would begin to argue.
I want to ask few questions here: (1)please is there anyone who doesn't know that Egusi causes pimples for those who are prone to having pimples? (2) Is there any one who doesn't know that if something is very hot, it is not advisable to put in the fridge? (3) here anyone who doesn't know that garlic is medicinal? (4) Is there any one who does not know that it is not advisable to put on a generator when it has been drenched by rain?
But this girl will argue with me, insisting that I must put on the gen when rain has beaten it, because apparently, it is not her property. And the fridge is also not hers which is why she won't care if it gets spoilt. In short there's usually too much argument over what is clear for everyone to see, thereby it is always difficult to have a conversation with her.
I was later transferred out of the state we were, so I decided that because of her, I won't take anything away from the house, I would buy everything I need in the new place I had been posted to. So I bought a bigger TV for the house we both shared and took the smaller one to my new place of posting. I bought my mattress, kitchen utensils, got an apartment, and bought every thing I needed in the new place. So now, I have most things in two pairs, just so she would be comfortable.
Please note that we aren't yet married, and I agreed to not having sex with her because that was she wanted, I respected that. The only thing I know we do was romance.
So I started insisting that it was high time for her to be responsible, that we can't both be working and she won't be buying reasonable amount of food stuff because I noticed that sometimes, she would go out and buy 3 packs of spaghetti, which doesn't make sense to me. She said her dad is the one that buys food stuffs in her house and her mum contributes for petty projects. But I am not her Dad, I have my own mind. Also note that she didn't volunteer to bring any amount for my project oo, because I won't want a woman to contribute 1 naira to the houses I am building. All I said was that she should be contributing reasonable amounts for food stuffs in the house. We hardly stay two weeks without fights, she must look for one insult or the other.
We went for counselling and the pastors said she has to be contributing for expenditures in the house, we agreed on 60% to 40% sharing formula for all expenditures. So me as the man would contribute 60 while she will contribute 40. Please note that rent was not inclusive, as I volunteered to pay for the rent in the house we were and for my apartment in my new place of posting. Later on, when she began to see the brunt of the responsibilities that I used to bear she started saying we (Me and the Pastors) are forcing her to contribute. But I didn't know these Pastors before, that was my first time of meeting them, she was the one who knew them before me. But simply because they told her the truth, she started saying we are forcing her.
Please I need your honest opinions on this issue. Thank you. Oga, you are so lucky u have time to study her character well enough. I am in that very shoe in my marriage now and that was because we never court each other before wedding. Any lady that talks back at her man will always insult and disrespect him. Once u tie the knot, it will be hard and if a Christian just like mine, u people will tell u to make it work. Meaning you have to stomach a lot which am finding very hard to do.Do not try to always please her. If she feels so entitled and self-centered, please let her go her way. If you do not have enough anymore, she will make u see hell on earth. Such ladies are feminist in their minds. Same way my wife always want us to buy things from malls and supermarkets at higher cost when u can get same items cheaper elsewhere but her money is of her own use. Drop her now before it is too lat. You earn same salary and she wants you to shoulder almost every expenses in the house. Never force urself to be loved. Currently my wife and I have been on the issue of she dropping her father's name for mine after 9years of wedding, it is still a big war with flimsy excuses. |

Trayceey: I Need Your Opinion On This Issue That's Threatening My Relationship
My fiance wanted to come to the house to see my mum but I told him I won't be around because I'm about heading out to somewhere, so he asked me if my mum would be around, then I said yes and he said he would still go to see her and it doesn't matter if I'm not around.
When I later got home that night, my mum complained that he came empty handed. He didn't bring anything for her and she was the one who offered him her drink.
Although initially, I didn't see anything wrong with that but when my mum expressed her displeasure, I later called him to ask why he came to the house empty handed then I let him know I wasn't happy with him, that it would have been better if he didn't come. He tried arguing with me but I hung up.
Since then, we haven't spoken to each other nor visited each other. Was I wrong? . Traceey, you are not too wrong but you should not have told ur fiance what your mum said. Though we are African and this days men/women are reasoning like westerners, the could be an influence of this day social media on ur would-be-man. I will not support the man coming to your house especially willing to spend time with your mum empty handed. it is lack of respect. He should not also have even taken any drink from ur mum knowing fully well he didn't come with any neither and should have explained to your mum that he was coming from somewhere so he didnt even know he would find himself and would send her gift through you. It only shows your man might be a stingy type and a self-pride man. For me, If he wants you, he would come back and if you go to him he will feel you are begging for love. Many people on this platform contributing to marital issues are babies and some are too young with no experience at all about life. So they call you any name they like. Just try be yourself and pray for God's intervention. It might also be a red flag as per your man's attitude. He has no regard for your mum. |
Car Talk › Re: I was Locked up, Extorted And Harrassed By Police In Aba Over Lagos Number Plate by Joyrise: 8:33am On Dec 31, 2020 |
Ikpumbe1: On 29/12/2020 in Aba, I was stopped by a group of police men while driving myself and family members on my 2005 honda accord. The police men wore just police camouflage polos with no displayed Identity card, name tag or force number and were carrying AK-47 rifles. I was driving my 2005 honda accord car with Lagos registration number.
Inside the car were my two younger brothers, my younger sister, my wife and my one year old baby. The police men requested for my vehicle papers and driver's license which I handed over to them. They said that my license registration number is fake. They showed me an FRSC web page where they ran my plate number and it displayed "Invalid".
I explained to them that the number was duly registered in Lagos and that the plate number was gotten via legal channels and there is no way it can be fake. They wouldn't hear of that. I demanded that they allow me call who registered the vehicle for me which I did. The agent that registered the vehicle for me is a colleague of mine in the office that has connection with FRSC.
He explained to me that Lagos is the only state that produces their plate number themselves and that sometimes they don't upload it on FRSC database. So, that the number doesn't show on FRSC database doesn't mean that it's fake. He gave me Lagos autoreg verification website(verify.autoreg.ng) to give the policemen to verify the plate number . I personally verified my number on the autoreg website and it showed valid. I tried explaining these to the policemen but they wouldn't hear the explanation.
They collected the car keys from me to drive the car to their station but couldn't start the car after several attempts. They ordered I and my younger brother into their miniature mitsubishi bus and took us to their station. They later took my brother back to the car location and towed the vehicle to their station.
They told me to UnCloth to my boxer shorts and detained me inside their cell(the condition of the cell is story for another day). I was detained for approximately 6hours till my dad came and they collected thirty thousand naira from him before releasing me. The DPO ordered for my release after my father intervened and is most likely aware of the thirty thousand that was paid before I was released.
He(DPO) said my vehicle should not be released till they conclude investigation on the license plate issue. They defrauded 30k from my father to effect my release when I committed no crime. My vehicle was duly registered in Lagos which can be verified on autoreg website. They detained me for no just cause for 6hours in a filthy cell that is not fit for lower animals let alone a human being. They refused to release my vehicle till this moment thereby causing a lot of hardship to my family for someone that visited home for Xmas.
I have resolved to fight the humiliation I am suffering in their hands with everything I have got. I just want to be sure that what my agent told me is the truth. Is a plate showing on autoreg but not on FRSC database fake? How can I prove that my plate number is authentic? Please gurus should respond. . You are saying the truth because I also registered my car in Lagos in August and when I checked the plate number on FRSC website, it was invalid. I contacted our friend that did the registration with FRSC called the staff and she told us same thing as you explained, LASG produce her own plate number but pay a certain amount to FRSC so it can be uploaded on their site. Due to my push my plate number was uploaded as VALID but not assigned yet. So I am still waiting for it to be assigned since it is now valid but I guess the problem was ENDSARS protest that caused the upload as their office was burnt down in Lagos. So you will still need LASG officials to upload. The number plate is not fake but police and FRSC will want to exploit the system loopholes to their adbvantage. All FRSC officials knows this but wont behave they know because of greed. |

Health › Re: Bad Breath Wants to kill me! Help! by Joyrise: 12:13pm On Nov 12, 2020 |
BadBreathBoy: This guy called bad breath have haunted me all the way from primary school down to secondary and even to my university level.
I am still a young 19 years old guy at the peak of youthfulness but this guy is just ruining everything for me. My self-esteem, public speaking skills, social life, confidence, in fact, everything has been smashed with a sledgehammer right in my face. I have turned into an introvert because of this bad sickness but will cover it up with "Money on my mind" shït.
I have tried everything possible guys. Below are kinds of stuff that I have tried and it is not working.
1. Visiting a dentist. 6 months ago, I took all the money I had to go over to the dentist in search of a solution. Had to wait for hours before getting attended to. When the doctor came in, she first started with some words of encouragement.
Telling me I might not have bad breath and all, people might be thinking they have it but don't blah blah blah. (So me that have bad breath I don't know what I am saying right?) After much talk, she recommended flossing and cleaning. That exercise where water passing through a tiny hole at high speeds is used to remove plaque from in between your teeth. I had to shell out a whopping 4k for that plus the extra card of 500. All the money I saved was gone just like that. It didn't work!!! Bad breath still held me down.
2. Brushing twice a day. I did this for 1 week straight up without any improvement relative to the hard work put in. So I became less consistent with this. Toothpaste I have tried includes, Oral B, MyMy, Maclean, Close up, name it. Didn't work.
3. Garlic and ginger. Some persons here on Nairaland recommend that ginger and garlic can be used to drive off bad breath. The prescription was to swallow it whole before going to bed at night then brush in the morning to remove the after-effects. I tried this for one week. Didn't work.
4. Mouthwash: I have wasted more than 4k in buying mouthwash but these things are just 2 hours wonder from the moment of application. I get fresh breath for the time being but after like 3 to 4 hours, the bad breath keeps on coming back. Still didn't work.
5. Hydrogen peroxide: Someone also recommended I use this to chase bad breath. It also works for sometime after which bad breath comes back. I even tried to dilute less than normal for maximum effects but the only thing I got was an irritating burn on my tongue. I am so not using this guy again!
6. Walnut: Some said walnut could be my Savior so I had to buy them in large quantity to chew but it didn't have long-term effects. So I ditched it. I don't have money to waste as I am still a student.
7. Chewing a combination of bitter leaf, scent leaf, and guava leaves: Out of intuition, I decided to try this combination. My common sense inferred that since it was bitter, it should probably have some effects on the bacteria in my mouth. But alas! Bad breath wasn't even impressed one bit. I even had to stuff them in my pocket and chew on them while going to class. This was a big flop. Didn't work at all.
8. Agnes Nwamma Herbal powder: I don't know what to say about this one, because it was even better that I just didn't brush for that day. Very useless in fighting off bad breath.
The funny thing that leaves my jaw-dropping is that my dad doesn't even brush, he uses a chewing stick but still has a very fresh breath than I that used mouthwash, baking powder, toothpaste and still chew the chewing stick to top that.
9. Chewing gum like Clorets, Methos: I have to be frank about these gums, they kind of aggravates the bad breath. They are simply applying salt to injury so I just stopped using them altogether.
Pls Nairalanders, help me out here. There have been lots of people who found a solution to their problem on here, so I doubt mine will be different. Pls, I need something else to try that will not dig a hole in my pocket as I am still trying to stand on my feet. I need a permanent solution not 3 hours wonder.
Lala pls push to the front page so I can get a large set of solutions to fight this off.
I don't want to resume school like this. I am tired, I am weak, disheveled, exhausted, dejected, depressed, anguished, melancholic, in fact, I have tayad like this.
My confidence and esteem have been crushed by bad breath. Shyness, inability to have streamlined chat with people, playing deaf and dumb, using hand signals whilst communicating, smiling like a peacock when my opinion is required, staying away from girls, snubbing people, rejecting positions that have me talk to a crowd has taken over!!
Pls, abeg, mbok, biko, I need a solution. A permanent one at that. Get a Norland toothpaste. My kids were gradually developing this and when I arrived home after using Norland toothpaste by my wife, they are better off. Although, it is about 2k each |

Xscape1993: He can never be president let alone betraying him. What can he still do? Looking for more money to loot and steal while the poor people are left to eat from the dust. I doubt if any of your family members or state has any money in Tinubu's purse |
Family › Re: My Boyfriend Is On The Verge Of Leaving Me. Help! by Joyrise: 4:10am On Aug 17, 2020 |
. Heartheart: Hi I just needed to bring this here. I am 22 years of age and I am not happy at all. My boy friend and I are in a long distance relationship. Not long perse. He is in lagos while I'm in abeokuta. I served in lagos so that's how we met and we got to spend quality time together.
Now since I've passed out I've been at home. I passed out in June. So it's been June that we saw last and now we're in august. He has been disturbing me to come visit him as it has not been easy staying alone, loneliness and all. I promised to visit him next week which also happened to be my birthday week. I have super strict parents but I still promised I will find my way.
I told them (parents) that I was travelling to visit a friend (girl). I could not tell them it was my boyfriend I was going to see because I knew deep down they wouldn't allow me travel to another city to see a guy. But my parents have blatantly refused that I cannot visit this girl. I had to tell my bf that I was not going to come. He was so sad and angry and he let me know he has wasted a lot of money preparing to surprise me for my birthday. He was so excited to see me and he had made a lot of plans. He told me he was disappointed in me and he doesn't think he can continue a relationship like this. Yes he comes to abeokuta sometimes but he mostly lodges in the hotel. He told me he can't continue lodging in the hotel that if I love him I will make effort. I tried to convince my parents they did not gree. Imagine, I told them I wanted to see a gf that they knew and they refused. What if I had told them he was a guy.
Pls guys how do u advise me to save my relationship, I'm in a tight spot right now and really sad. I don't think you have a serious and dedicated relationship yet. If you think so, inform your parents and let the guy come formally to visit your family. Then you will know if the guy is not just taken advantage of you and sexual urge. He has spent alot because he will gain it by sleeping with you. That is not a relationship that most likely lead to marriage. Tell ur parents about how u met and all. Let them advice you. You might end up aborting for this He-goat and u start a very painful and regretful life. Be careful |
Politics › Re: 2023: If Tinubu Does Not Get Control Of APC, That Will Mark The End Of The Party by Joyrise: 12:39pm On Jun 24, 2020 |
Rilwayne001: Whether Osinbajo or Tinubu or anybody from the south, the Fulani's up North are not ready to relinquish power in 2023 because of their ever born-to-rule mentality. The earlier we understand this, the better for us in the South.
People like Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, Atiku, El Rufai and others that are laying low for now are waiting for 2022 to come before start showing their ambition. And there's no telling, once anyone of these people contests against anyone from the South, there's high possibility they'd win, because the highly stark illiterates in the North would vote for any Abdullah or Mohamed even without any plan of development or good things for them, so far he's not from the noorth he's worthy of their vote and he'd definitely get it in thousands.
Unfortunately, south keeps dividing. SE keeps hating on everybody especially SW. And they'd rather vote a northerner to take charge of the country for 16years than vote a southwesterner because they just hate them. They sure know there's no possibility of them having a reputable candidate to represent their region taking a shot at the presidency as a result of the bitter politics they've always played.
From analysis, 2023 isn't going to be funny. Obviously we youth need to come together now and start mapping our way forward against that time. We can't afford to give our future to these old cankerworms in power to further deteriorate it.
Wisdom profits.
Let me support you to say that El Rufai is the master mind of the current problem in APC suing Amaechi boy to declare himself party chairman from Deputy Secretary where as there is a National Secretary superior to him, yet a trash Judge is giving such person go-ahead against the laws of the party. Why do you think such Judge will support Giadom. Giadom is Amaechi's boy. |
