Godfather10: Very true or it dosen’t make sense yes #35k I increase my rent last week to 35k. Spare parts are too expensive, everything has skyrocketed. I did my research by calling car owners in uberfleet match, i notice most of them has actually increase their rent. Some are coming up with even more tougher conditions. BUHARI HAS REALLY DESTROY THIS COUNTRY. MY INCREASE WILL BE FOR THIS DECEMBER TO 2ND WEEK OF JANUARY.

sharpk007: Firstly, don't go to court on the matter if You truly took the one way, and if den don charge U to court, font plead guilty, let d car be dere till case is adjourned and find someone dat can help out.
Reason is if U pleaded guilty, dat car might be gone or ur wahala go tripple.
Lagos rule against one way Is car forfeiture So Felicity0001 took one way and is looking for OBA of Benin to come get his car out. Any driver that takes one way should be severely punish. Not just forfeiting of the car, he should serve the 6months jail sentence as you are coming out of jail, owner will be suing you for lost of property. Obey Lagos law. |

calabardick: [3] From your analysis, your major concern is MONEY, with such mindset sir, failure is highly assured. Starting a transportation business is like a new born baby, it takes time to grow. You have to endure and nurture it. You'll loose a lot in the process, it's not a business for the feeble
l. Mr SWAT/SARS ANALYSIS you just complicate yourself. SO if money is not ur major concern, why go into the business? So you were analyzing SWAT to go loose money. From my own experience I agree with Carshopper if u don't have park forget, you will never succeed, maybe with HP u will survive a little. I have 2 Sienna then, people who sees it when they come back from travel and bring me palm wine then will say, oboy you're doing well, not knowing i was loosing, while drivers are making cool money. In business experience is the key to success. |

Now it's #170. Which is another #200 difference per day, he's saying the same thing.
I tire for his matter. I'm giving you the break down in extra cost of fuel. So drivers will stop making noise as if they're the only one Buhari regime affect. From the owner side, spare parts are super expensive, and you can't be in this business without maintenance. The last time i bought Ac compressor is 22k (tokunbo), but now is sold for 30k, everything has skyrocketed, infact most owner's won't be able to recoup in this business, talkless of reinvesting. The reality price for weekly rental should be 35k, anything less than that owners are running at lost. |

You don't expect to buy a car for 500k and not expect it not to breakdown every 2days. Lately 50% of drivers that called me for car rental actually own these type of cars, they have Kia rio, Nissan Sunny and other problematic cars. Usually i don't give cars to such drivers, they one of the biggest cheat in uber business. |

deedee44: Increment is 168 - 145 = 23 23 x 150 = 3450 145 was like 6months ago, Uber actually increased their fare, so that balance it, there has been consistent surge, actually is more money on drivers pockets. If you're owner, any driver that want you to reduce rental fee, bc of 8naira increase in fuel, withdraw that car immediately. There are 1001 drivers seeking for cars everyday. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by jpworld(m): 5:00pm On Nov 16, 2020 |
peeps4u: 5% increase is significant. As a business man, you shouldn't argue like this; disregarding 5% increment like it's nothing.
It looks minimal becuase you're looking at it at a small scale.
Besides, your line of argument can be used to justify every 5% increment like it is nothing till the price doubles. I'm not arguing, I'm trying to breakdown what the extra cost of fuel will give you, so drivers won't come up with if there is no surge i won't drive bla bla bla (just like one of you claim)or come up with rental should go down bc of fuel increase, as if car owners are members of APC. Spare parts has skyrocketed, you will not hear any car owner make noise about it, we manage the situation also, and keep trying survive the situation, APC/Buhari has put us. |

northbird: Brethren, If you don't have the bolt app, you r shortchanging yourself esp. in the evening from 5.30 pm upwards, it's surge across all districts in Lagos.
Even @ ₦168/litre from the previous ₦160, that's a whooping 5% increase in your fuel cost. In research methodology, that 5% is quite significant.
Don't just take trips without having a commensurate compensation for your inputs. 8naira increase is 5% increase. But what is the real extra cost regarding this fuel increase. you're only spending extra 800naira to 1200naira weekly. Corolla use about 100 to 150 liters. 8 naira x 100liters =800 8 naira x 150liters =1200 |
