thisisit: LAGOS is the best place to locate refinery for the following reasons:
Niger Delta Environment is already polluted and degraded by crude exploitation activities.
LAGOSIANS are used to noise pollution, congestion, poor public and personal hygiene. Lagosians are used to shanty / ghetto lifestyle. They are used to harassment by TOUTS and thugs. They are used to a life devoid of human dignity and decency.
Therefore, mere carbon pollution from petrochemical will not be noticed. |

Mrfeel: How about the environmental pollution it will cause in Lagos , is lagos not too small and crowded for such a big refinery?
I read: Oil refineries emit large amounts of air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems, including asthma, and increase the risk of heart disease and lung cancer etc i think lagos is too small and crowded for such a big refinery I share these concerns, since our leaders aren't known for taking the right measures. But I hope they know what they're doing with this one. |

I will spend a billion in less than 30 minutes. I will just dump on real estate and revisit later. I suspect you'll need more than an hour to do your due diligence on land or property, find the right lawyers/agents, research the location's prospects and environmental issues, etc. |

MrBrownJay1: today flogging a child is considered abuse, even though majority of us are great human beings today because of these same "abuse"... so make sure that you A) have kids with a woman who follow your school of thought and B) live in a country where flogging is allowed-
no wonder kids in the UK (and all over the world) are now out of control! Any argument that countries where flogging is the norm (e.g., Nigeria) is producing better human beings than countries where it's not (e.g., UK, USA) is simply not based on facts. |

BarrElChapo: In criminal trials what the prosecution must prove ALL the ingredients of an offence 'beyond all reasonable doubt' to secure a conviction. In this case as we've already established that they're likely not to be convicted for murder since they didn't set out to kill the deceased, the prosecution must prove the ingredients set out below;
Firstly, the prosecution must prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the victim died.
Secondly, the prosecution must prove that the death of the victim resulted from the action or inaction of the accused. This means that the prosecution must prove beyond every atom of doubt that the victim in question died as a result of what the accused persons did or what they failed to do.
Finally, the prosecution must also prove beyond every reasonable doubt that the said action or inaction of the accused was intentional and with the knowledge that death or grievous bodily harm was its probable or foreseeable consequence.
To my mind it is immaterial if she was sick or not because when she told them that her husband wasn't at home they could have either waited or left to come back at another time but instead they chose to take the law into their hands.
Another consideration is that they were four persons to one an autopsy would show if their was just a single trauma to the head as she fell or if there was evidence of a struggle that ultimately led to her fall and demise but don't underestimate the power of the NPF to fvck up trials. Yea, bolded is what I meant. If someone is holding on to your shirt and you ask them to leave your shirt and they refuse, what would a reasonable man do? Try to untangle their hand - with force. What if the person had a weak heart and dies while you're untangling your shirt? Will the court ignore these facts? |

BarrElChapo: They aren't guilty of premeditated murder but will likely be hooked for manslaughter. Right. Depending on what the investigation finds of course. It could well be she was ill and wasn't slammed in any way. I think the court will use the reasonable test to judge the suspects' actions here. I hope the police do a good job to uncover the truth. |

Laird: Why blaming the loan givers instead of the debtor's for not replying their debt
Women can be dramatic and dangerous in manipulating men
During the cnaira change era, a man was angry that a female bank cashier refused to accept a 1000 naira note he brought to deposit in his account claiming it was bad. He took bank transfer forms to fill and transfer all his money in his accounts out of that bank to another different bank. The female manager came and was pleading along with his account officer. When he refused, she held him and put her body on him to stop and deter him from filling the transfer forms. If he had pushed her now. It would now be a case of gender violence meanwhile it was clear feminine manipulation to achieve an aim If it was a male bank.official that put his body on a female customer to stop her from withdrawing her money, it would have been an outcry of molestation, harassment and wahala Don't take loans You cannot repay and then start throwing emotional.tantrums @blue. Hilarious story. I won't be surprised if the dude collected number. I actually agree with you. Fact is, our people don't pay back what they owe. Clearly they did not intend to kill that woman, even though we don't know what really happened. Now, they'll go to jail. May the dead find peace. |

MrBrownJay1: stop being a hypocrite pls... we all know why suddeny you people care about the UN resolutions, but never ever did in the past. you certainly dont care when Israel invades Palestine, do you? Russia has been in war with Ukraine since 2014, its been 8yrs and you people didnt give a damn anout ukraine/russian war.... when Crimea was annexed from Ukraine, you guys didnt give a damn... but suddenly, since 2022 you guys are now growing a conscience (because the US tells you to)? what happened? why didnt you grow a conscience in 2014 when this war started OR in Palestine OR in Irak OR in Libya?
ABEG, STOP BEING A HYPOCRITE!!!!! Your points are all over the place. In private and on SM, I've talked far more about Israel's crimes in Palestine than any other issue in the international arena. The annexation of Crimea always stood condemned. Adults consider and address issues on a case by case basis (Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Crimea, Libya, etc.) - not with quick brushes as you seem wont to do. How does condemning Putin's mass murder in Ukraine prove that someone doesn't care about other injustices? Ehn? You, sir, are not very clever. Good bye. |

MrBrownJay1: who gives a damn about the UN?! the US certainly doesnt care about the UN, thus why they invaded Irak even though the UN was FULLY AGAINST IT. so you either follow 110% the resolution of the UN or you dont....but you cant use it solely when it fits your selfish yeye agenda. You don't care about ORDER? I mean, would it be ok if some robbers with pistols turned your neighbourhood into their playground because some of the big people running the country don't respect the law? |

just like many are supporting Ukraine, ANYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO SUPPORT RUSSIA, if thats what they wish to do. Do you believe there are rights and wrongs? Good and evil?
