UnknownT: Judiciary will burn this country sooner than expected. How can you declare him winner for a primaries that wasn't supervised by INEC and was done in his house?
I'm still shaking my head. But there must be facts not mentioned in the write-up above that the court relied on to arrive at its decision.
PrinceOfLagos: It's a shame PDP is still contesting in this election after destroying the economy of Nigeria in there 16yrs government.
PDP and APC shouldn't get a single vote in this election because they both ran Nigeria economy aground in there 16 and 8 years wicked government
Let's vote them out
It's not only the economy they destroyed - what about their assault on the judiciary? Imagine conducting multiple primary and running to courts like wayward infants quibbling over toys. God forbid bad thing.
Assassink: So, buhari is suffering the masses now?I thought he's the best thing that has happened to Nigeria. So you are no longer licking buhari ass?You urchins are brainless.
seunmsg: CBN is simply trying to be clever by half since they know the governors are already ahead of them. If Banks are still collecting the old notes, then business can still collect them as legitimate means of exchange and then proceed to deposit same in banks.
This kind of policy summersault is what happens when you try to implement an illegal decision despite the order of the Supreme Court and the very obvious hardship that citizens are facing. Kudos to the courageous governors who have ordered their residents to continue to accept the old notes as means of exchange. They are the heroes this period. Big shame on all those who are supporting the suffering that Buhari and Emefiele are inflicting on Nigerians simply because of politics.
LadyTara: I feel sorry for people who are far from town though,I know the additional cost I had to incure today just to deposit the notes. Plus because of the riot yesterday a section of the area around CBN was blocked with soldiers everywhere. Plus the process is slow and as I was leaving just now ,crowd was already forming at the waiting area.
So they have soldiers to deploy "everywhere" around CBN at Akpakpava but none to deploy on Benin-Auchi Road when kidnappers turn it to their operational HQ. SMH.
Seun and co, we need the block button. Can't keep track of unsavory characters to avoid around here. On Twitter, you block to avoid further unhealthy encounters.
Pandev: all you people do is insult. Now show me where I 'made a personal attack', I want to apologize. Show me
but it's not about competition of who writes better. If you read this article well, he has been put in his place. The fact that you know how to write well doesn't mean that you know everything. No dey shook mouth for matter wey you no sabi
My response to your personal attack was PROPORTIONAL
You wey sabi can go on applauding since he tackled someone you don't like.
So on what basis are you making accusations, hoping to WIN AN ARGUMENT that way while accusing someone of looking for argument?
I'd never heard of the Supreme Court of any country responding to the criticism of its judgment by singling out a private individual who called them out. This is a world record of supreme infantilism.
Pandev: don't take it personal. It is not every matter that requires every tom, dick and Harry's opinion. There are scientists, lawyers, economists etc. So being a good writer does not make you qualify to write anything about science, stop being emotional and looking for argument.
You made a personal attack - but I doubt you can comprehend your own writing. Trying to shup up someone doesn't make you smart.
Pandev: but it's not about competition of who writes better. If you read this article well, he has been put in his place. The fact that you know how to write well doesn't mean that you know everything. No dey shook mouth for matter wey you no sabi
The substance of the issue is a matter of opinion, and mine may differ from yours. Objectively, though, this is a badly written piece. There's a level of complortment expected from people in high office. Supreme Court spokesman? Shame.
You wey sabi can go on applauding since he tackled someone you don't like.

FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced a 50% reduction on all Lagos State Public Transport System for the next one week through the Cowry Card system, this measure is to cushion the effect of the Fuel and Currency crisis.#ForAGreaterLagospic.twitter.com/OQk9ojl7EB
Reminds me of Chimpanzees in the zoo. Lawd have mercy on this country.
Good one from INEC though, but what if the PO are also complicit?
You can't cover every scenario. But hopefully, the voters in that unit will make noise about it and INEC will hear, investigate and do the right thing.
SpecialAdviser: So how do you stop no 1 when you print the same amount you are taking out of circulation?
Again, remove cashless policy from your point. The timing says otherwise
It's not the job of the CBN to stop vote buying - it's the job of the security agencies. Of course, stopping vote buying by any means is ideal, but it's irresponsible and treasonous for the CBN to spread poverty and hunger, bring the country to the edge of mass unrests and riots, and possibly tank the economy into recession in a bid to use monetary policy to fight vote buying.
You really think the guy who hasn't got his January salary today because Emefiele's bullheadedness cares about who wins the election? No. He will set fire to the bank first.
[quote author=lexy2014 post=120731087]1. Is it the job of CBN to stop vote buyers? No. It's the job of DSS, Police, EFCC, NSCDC, etc.
2. How has the cashless policy been advanced so far? Poorly - due to (1) inadequate infrastructure and manpower, (2) low literacy rate, (3) low level of awareness and cultural factors
plaindealer: Nigerians are running and shouting all over the place that they are suffering because of non availability of the new Naira notes that banks and ATMs are not dispensing, now some governors won an injunction to alleviate your so called suffering and you are still mad and upset, you still don't want your suffering to be alleviated.
It's either many of you are hypocrites, disingenuous, liars or just too odiously political and tribal to even see what's in your own best interest.
The governors have no problem securing the new notes and they are definitely not suffering because of the new notes, they are not the one lining up for hours trying to withdraw money from the ATM or fighting in banking halls, you are so how are they your problem?
Is the misguided and incompetently created and administered policy the governors policy?
The governors are not the problem, people like you are really the problem because you can not see or reason beyond your nose.
SpecialAdviser: Criminal collaborators. Corruption will fight back but we will come out victorious surely.
Where was supreme court when APC injected billions of naira into currency change? Is the money a waste now? Why being reactive rather than being proactive?
APC, Party of forward and backward. To think this is a party where more than hundred people easily purchased presidential form for 100million will leave you speechless.
The northern governors and the Supreme Court did the right thing - the country is on the verge of a total breakdown or law and order. Emefiele should have printed enough money. He has only himself to blame for the failure of his policy.
