Education › Re: Flashback: Did You Read This Book While Growing Up? by JuanDeDios: 5:56pm On Apr 21, 2022
Easyincome24:
This book right here made our childhood days awesome.

Teachers then ensured we commit it to memory even if one couldn't pronounce or identify each word for word.

As I try to reminisce about this book. I could aptly see how our culture was portrayed in the book usually a one in a million for primary three pupils.

Our education standard was still something to reckon with back then.

Try to read between the lines, you will understand that a family is a unit that is very important in a community.

If a home fails to bring up their children uprightly, it's sure that the society will be wrecked.

Try to revisit all these books used way back in the 80's and 90's you will understand why values should be taught from homes before expecting teachers and government to emulate same.

My love for this book and the characters knows no bounds.

Share your experience Nairalanders.
I did. But I thought it was "Edet is eight years old. He lives in Calabar..."

Wjatever you do, never involve your lawyer or the police. This is what your tenant is expecting you to do. He will buy a a lot of time with this and you will spend a lot of money.

You should do what my friend's mum did. Carry sacrifice made with rat head, yam and palm oil and put it in front of his doorstep. After three days, put head of snake and head of monkey at the doorstep. You can buy head of snake and monkey at those traditional herbs sellers at a very cheap price. All this will cost you less than 10k

Thats all! Nobody go teach am to commot in 2 weeks.

Double wahala
I hope she will be happy when the hormones start antagonizing each other.
However, as a medical professional. I still find it very hard to understand the rationale behind it.
Most doctors decline trans as patients because they are cumbersome to treat.
Aren't doctors supposed to treat everyone? Just kidding. But aren't doctors supposed to treat everyone? If you can legally decline to treat a patient it would be because you're referring them to a specialist, I guess. Is there a specialty that treats trans folks?

The Catholic Church Jerusalem Bible Psalms 45:6 will help you out,Sir.
This is the authentic genuine rendition of Psalms 45:6.
"Thy throne given of God/ God is your throne" similar to saying "God is your Strength or your strength is from God."

The Masoretic Text is far older than any Trinitarian rendition of Psalms 45:6 in English Bibles.

Also, Luke 1:31-33 confirmed the authenticity of the Masoretic Text of Psalms 45:6.
The Screenshots sheds more light on this verse.

Shalom.
We're using the Jerusalem Bible now? Thinkmoney, let's see if this man still relies on the Jerusalem Bible in his response to my last post. That should fault my argument that the JW use advanced tricks and mind techniques and not sound logic.
Christianity Etc › Re: Jehovah's Witnesses Open Kingdom Halls, To Start House-To-House Visits by JuanDeDios: 3:00pm On Apr 07, 2022
thinkmoney:
Like many prophecies in psalms, it applies to two persons. First is David then by extension Jesus who is the eternal king from the line of David.
The right translation for that however is; "God is your throne forever and ever". It indicates that the kingship is divine and it will last till time indefinite. See also psalm 89:29.
Besides the bible itself states that there are many gods. Satan is a god, the angels were called gods, moses was called a god and the pharisees were also called gods. God is a title like king. It means powerful one. Jesus is a mighty god, John 1:1,2. But there is to us one God ALMIGHT, Jehovah; "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." 1 Corinthians 8:6.
The talk about "many gods" is just being half-clever here. The text says "O God", not "gods". The main point I see here is that the NWT ("the right translation" to you) renders Ps 45:6 differently. (Note that almost every transaction, including the KJV, disagree with the JW translation here).

Now, how about John 1:1? What do you say about the fact that JW inserts an article "and the Word was a god" even though there was none in the original text ("and the word was God"wink?

Chai...I just like you more now. To be honest with you, there is not verifiable bible verse that supports it. It is against every fabric of the bible.
The verse in John or thereabout that talked about three bearing witness in heaven, that is the "biggest" verse that trinity proponents use is a forgery. It was fixed inside the bible a long time after the bible was written.
You can research my claim easily.
This forgery on it's on should tell you about the deceit in trinity.
Plus JW are almost the only organisation that has revealed and is using Gods name.
This vital vital details are to their immense credit my dear. They are different just like christ and the holy men gave us hints that true religion will he different.
Or can you explain based on the bible why the name of God, Jehovah is not taking prominence in other Christian denominations like Jesus's? You may not even here it being spoken within the walls of some churches for months. They instead say God that is not even a name.
Hehehe. I see you've gone far. Ok, I'll bite, starting with the Trinity.

New International Version
Ps 45:6: "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom."

Who is referred to in this Bible verse?

Oya dispute (or explain) with the bible

Well, that's a tough one. smiley There are Bible verses that say God is one and appear to repudiate the Trinity doctrine. There are also verses that appear to support it. But, yes, on a scale, the argument against the doctrine appear to weigh more.

My dear, I am not a witness. The only thing I have not come to terms with is their issues with blood.
However, in all cases, they have logical bible based reasons. It will be heard for you to accept if u are the type that have preconceived ideas. But if you are open minded enough, to allow the bible be the sole adjudicator, then you will agree with them in almost all issues
They do apply logic but with a lot of fallacies. Phrases like "every honest-hearted person will agree that..." are not logic - they're meant to prevent oxygen from flowing to certain parts of your brain. Think of it like a conjurer's trick in which you're shown only what you're meant to see. If you give some examples of things they've taught you with Bible and "logic", I will explain further.

The USA might actually come to the rescue of South Korea should a conflict break out.
Meanwhile, China would definitely place boots on the ground for North Korea, 100%. Mother Russia would aid north Korea to some extents if they're winning, but imagine a scenario where they start losing, Russia would place boots too on the ground.
So in other words, both North and South Korea have powerful backups. But North Korea is nuclear armed, South Korea isn't.
South Korea is playing with fire!
The North is playing with fire. The South is under the "nuclear umbrella". If the North uses a nuke (which we're not even sure would function well in use), they just asked for nukes to be used against them. Their military would be obliterated and the Kim dynasty would end.

BTW, I'm not sure why you feel sure China would send boots if the North attacks the South. Russia won't send boots if the US is already there. The US and Russia avoid direct confrontation like that. They're smart.

Nin- sim linking should be a continuous process

No deadline....no barring of sim card from making out going calls....and nothing should happen to people sim card who refused to link

The only thing they should insist on is that when ever you are buying a new sim...it must be linked.

With this ....gradually or as time goes on or rather many years later.....sim card not linked to nin will automatically not be in circulation and it will fizzle out on its own
Apart from the first two lines, I agree with this post.

You would have said the same thing if there was killing for money ritual and they stopped it.. How is killing of twins more barbaric than killing and extractibg body parts for money ritual..

Nigerians are barbaric and might have still been killing twins if they didn't stop it..

Everything the colonial masters changed positively or negatively, still have a lasting effects till date. That's why we are still unknowingly slaves to them.
There was human sacrifice and efforts were made to stop it. In my place, a man used to be beheaded when the king dies but this was stopped. It's unfortunate the Yoruba champions of Oro and co didn't listen and these barbaric practices still continue secretly. It's unfortunate about money ritual killing too.

No, we won't. We won't have abolished the killing of twins when we did, but we would have done so eventually. Remember that the whites once had some of these barbaric practices too but changed them with TIME.

Ok

Farooq is the infant in this matter. Everyone knows Yahaya Bello is just catching cruise. So why rain insults on him for exercising his constitutional right to catch cruise
As for Wike, is he ever drunk? I doubt. But I don't know what pushed him to make such a wild and unsubstantiated claim of running for President. Probably because he heard Amaechi's name in the race. I think he likes running after Amaechi.
Osinbajo is not a bigot. The fault lies in Buhari who wanted to Islamize the govt. Osinbajo simply responded in kind. Islamization begets Christianization.
And Tinubu deserves respect for single-handedly installing a President, VP, SP, Speaker, governors, ministers, party chairmen, secretary, even Chief Justice. I don't really know why people think he will stoop so low to install himself. His interest is to ensure that he remains in the news. Just like OBJ used to. Nothing more, nothing less.
Bello knows he's not a frontrunner, but I think he's hoping that luck would somehow favour him like it did in the governorship. Never underestimate an idiot's boldness.
