How available are these processes and know-how? The federal and state governments better get involved. You can't expect those rural farmers who're struggling to survive or those unscropulous middlemen who only care about money to start looking for hermetic stuff so that Juan de Dios in Lagos will not fall ill from eating toxic beans. |

Bede2u: which is more dangerous?
And the idea ppl are not stealing now is funny 1. Jonathan aided and abetted corruption. He would rather redefine it than tackle it. He was another IBB - an enabler of the wrecking of his country. 2. Stealing/corruption is going on now - that's a no brainer. But some effort has been made to tackle it - there's TSA, and there's the fact that the EFFC, completely dead under Jonathan, is making noise again. Half-hearted or bumbling efforts are better than no efforts at all. 3. Buhari's bigotry is probably worse. It has done serious damage to this country. A second term for Buhari may bury this country. |

Only fools believe El No shoe conceded on his own, his Obama interference rant was enough pointed that he knew better than to try himself. I endorse this post 100%. Jonathan's version of events is not believable. Okonjo-Iweala and Chidoka sound like decent people to me and to think they'd tell him not to concede can't be true. That was Dieziani's job. |

Might be an English problem. I recall when my father died, someone told me, "So you're now an orphan." I had to explain to him I wasn't since my mother is alive and in any case I was already an adult. But the controversy is good - should tell politicians to be careful. |

oilPUSSY: The news is everywhere both in Nigeria and Diaspora...
Why has Buhari refused to address this sensitive issue? During Obasanjo's controversial death rumour, he came out and addressed the public because he understands the power of social media. Why is Buhari shying away from this issue.? He's quick to lie to Nigerians that Radio Biafra has been blocked whereas the station is still on.
Why is Buhari busy chasing shadow while he left a lot of sensitive issues are unattended ? The Obasanjo case was different. This one is a foolish story not worthy of a response. If he comes out and say, "No, I'm Buhari, not Jibrin", it won't change the mind of a single person who believes it because it's what they want to believe. |

coolcharm: Very dumb question. We all know that asset sales and and privatisation goes through rounds of bidding. We saw this in the early 2000s with the telecommunications industry.
The North is jittery that NNPC, the goose that lays their golden egg is about to be set free.
They have sat on the Niger Delta fossil using NNPC as a cover to milk the entire country for over 50 years.
In Law, there is a saying that you cannot be a judge in your own case. Government should be a regulator and allow the private sector to do business...
Ask yourself this question, since the FG has been running NNPC, why has it been difficult to get just one refinery working?
Nah, they prefer to export crude oil and import refined products... For their gains.
Only corrupt individuals benefiting from corruption in the oil sector will kick against the sales of that liability called NNPC Did you read the article at all? How can cautioning against the Russian model be dumb? He even proferred solutions, while supporting the privatisation of NNPC in priniciple. Your're citing the deregulation of telecommunications, which involved the sale of licences rather than the sale of existing companies. What happened to the sale of gencos and discos is exactly what Rewane is concerned about. And your fellow politicians are liking your post. SMH. |

Letenwam: In a rare act of compassion, never done by any bank before, United bank for Africa,UBA, refunded the funds of a middle aged man who was recently robbed of his entire fund, amounting to N247,000.00.
The man who visited UBA Chevron branch office to complain about being robbed of his phone was assisted only to find that there were some other vital information that were not given and were necessary to block off his phone from the fraudsters.
The customer who later returned to complain of his funds being stolen was later consoled and given back his entire money by the bank. This again is a rare act of kindness and compassion.

Viking007: So many cabals will work against this. From the airline sector to the Road Transport Union, petrol/Diesel unions, etc...not forgetting our dear cattle herders. This country is just useless.
But should this come to pass - God, the possibilities are endless. You can live in Abuja and work in Lagos or vice versa. The price of goods and services will crash. The huge amount people will pay as rent especially here in Abuja will crash, the advantages are just unlimited.
Sad. Nigeria's airline sector is not that large compared to our country's population - may be because it's over-taxed and flights are too expensive for most people. There's no reason for Railway Workers Union to be against this since it's they that will be employed to work there. Petro and diesel people won't be threatened. There will always be enough business for everyone, especially since our population is relentlessly chasing that of India and so many are poor. |

That's what I responded to. If you were thinking "white lions" while typing lions, forgive me for not reading your mind. There are lions in the interior of Africa, including Nigeria, and that is no hearsay. |

Kastonkastroll: Neah... Right from time, lions of Africa were only found in the horns of the continent and southern Africa. There is no record of lions habitation in sub-saharan Africa.
Anyway the white lion is an imperious animal, runtown just needs to be careful I'm sure you mean the interior of Africa. Not true. There were lions there, including Northern Nigeria. There are stories of them in the south too, but those are bit hard to confirm. |
Celebrities › Re: Runtown Buys A White Lion As Pet (Pictures) by JuanDeDios: 7:58am On Nov 18, 2018 |
Kastonkastroll: You think the system of the lion was designed to consume ewedu for a long period of time abi? Let me tell you even as a cub, the lion won't eat anything except meat or fish, and not cooked meat ooh, fresh-raw meat. Example Is just like human beings, our system wasn't designed to eat grass like the goats and cows used to devour grass.
Sterilization don't have much effect on a lion, of course he was designed to eat raw meat, and runtown have that raw-meat stored in his body. He just needs to be very careful with that thing. You can raise a pet lion on cooked meat and it will generally behave. But that won't guarantee it will always be tame. The SIGHT of blood someday could awaken its instinct and excite it. |

Acidosis: I think you have a lot of money to throw around. No single trip within Lagos state should cost that much on Uber (especially Taxify). Even Berger to Ajah, Epe or Ijanikin would not cost that much. Thats the longest trip anyone can embark on within the Lagos.
Btw, why should you embark on a trip without confirming the approximated cost? Like Google map, Uber and Taxify already provide an algorithm that calculates your estimated bill prior to your trip using some variables such as distance (km), traffic and time.
Nigerians should be extra vigilant with transactions. As regards your N1m, that one na small thing. You will get your money. If I were you though, I will also ensure he spends some days behind bars. Trips within Lagos do cost that much. And the estimated fare is often less than the actual fare. |

Babygiwa: So I spent the whole of yesterday night listening to the so called Saraki Audio as released by the APC propaganda machinery. The first thing that struck me was the source of the video. One Kayode Ogundamisi a renowned OPC members that supervised the killing of more than five thousand Hausas in Lagos but still walking freely! Instead of diverting the attention of the polity with this video. The APC should tell us where Yemi Osinbajo an acclaimed pastor and his minions at NEMA kept the money they stole and why they had to award contracts without following due process. Can we also know why NEMA under the supervision of Osinbajo failed to distribute 160,000 bags of rice donated to Nigeria by China but left to rot away in NEMA warehouse! Can we also know why Oshiomole sold Sheu Sanni's ticket for two million dollars through Hadiza Bala Usman. And for Hadiza, I have read her rejoinder to Saharareporters.com and I laughed. This is the same woman that has destroyed the nation's port and maritime industry. As a Northerner, I advised that the Change government run an issue based campaign. We should ask ourselves why Polio had to come back to the North after we've won the battle. What has Buhari done for the North in the area of Education and Healthcare??
Buhari is our problem not Saraki! My dear Northerners please share until it gets to Buhari

Morally, Obi was right - saving is a good thing. But Fashola was right on legal grounds - the money belonged to the states and it was theirs to either spend or save. Knowing Nigeria, where ships disappear from ports and money is always disappearing, it would have been unwise for governors to trust the FG to save money for them. What the states should have done was collect their money and save it themselves. But, of course, they spent it - even borrowed more! |
