Health › Re: Obituary Of Man Who Died At Age Of 170 In Abia (Photo) by JuanDeDios: 6:51am On Nov 10, 2018
PrettyCrystal:
Nigerians have revealed their surprise following the obituary poster of a man who is said to have died at the age of 170 (1848 - 2018).

The deceased identified as Pa Monday Agwalogu from Osisioma Ngwa local government area of Abia state, passed away in May 2018 after a brief sickness.

The man who is believed to be the oldest in his village before his death, is to be buried next week Thursday and Friday (November 15th and 16th) in his community.

Nigerian internet users have been wondering how possible this is - with some asking whether the family did the right calculation with the old man's age.

The oldest person ever whose age has been verified is Jeanne Calment (1875–1997) of France, who died at the age of 122 years, 164 days.

See how internet users reacted to the report below;

This is a lie. From the poster, he doesn't even have greatgrandchildren. If he lived to 170, they probably took this picture of him 100 years ago and he probably started having kids at 100 years old. I doubt this man was up to 80. Nigerians lie about old people's age all the time.

biafranation:
Typical afonja and ranting nonsense out of envy. Michelle Obama is a Negroid Black not an African Black. Negroid blacks, who are black hebrews that migrated into Africa, whether men or women tend to have more testosterone/muscles than African Blacks, which is why they dominate sports wherever they are, whether in Nigeria or America. Who are Negroid blacks? Igbos and other Biafran tribes(Efik, Annang, Ibibio, Some Edo plus Igbanke in Edo, Agbor, Udoni, Ogoni, Igala, Idoma, Ijaw, Urhobo, e.t.c.), African Americans, blacks in Caribbean and other Hebrew tribes scattered around the world. African blacks usually have very low testosterone, that's why Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas men and women rarely have muscles, and rarely play sports because naturally they weren't created for hard sports or work. That's also why during slave trade, slave traders prefer Biafran tribes, and rarely touched Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas. What women dominate sports in Nigeria? Igbos and SS mostly. Which women have more muscles in Nigeria? Igbo and SS women. Coincidence? No, I just gave you the reason. Same in America and Caribbean, African women and Caribbean women also dominate sports there. Not all blacks are the same, white people know this fact, which is why they are against Biafra rising!
Hilarious.

Dangote With His Investments In Nigeria, Running Into Tens Of Billions of Dollars, Spanning Oil, Gas, Cement, Sugar, Transport, etc employ only about 30,000 Nigerians.

MTN With Investments Of Over 10Billion Dollars employ about 8,000 people.

First Bank, Zenith Bank and GTB with capital base of over 3Trillion Naira combined, employ about 35000 Nigerians...

Then a Crook, with hidden assets in rogue countries, who can only boast of a Fruit Juice company and one elite University in a dusty town of Yola in Adamawa State, claims that he employs 100,000 Ghost People.

Does Atiku thinks the rest of Nigerians have limited and very low IQs like his brainless ipob pigs supporters?
It depends on what he's into. Some businesses are labour-intensive. I'm not saying he's not lying or not. I'm just saying your examples don't prove anything.

#1. Charging Your Phone Under The Pillow Overnight

Charging your phone under the pillow is one of the life threatening things people do every day. As a matter of fact, charging your phone under the pillow overnight is as risky as leaving your gas cooker on all through the night. When the charger gives up the heat, it usually has nowhere to go as there is no ventilation. This will automatically set the pillow on fire.

They were not junk then but how about now. Ask yourself, when was the last time you went to a museum or do you even know anyone that has gone to a museum before to see art, I know I haven't. The few museums that we have here are all turning to rot.
Your assessment of the level of appreciation of art among Nigerians is accurate. But in the end you make an argument similar to the one being made by some white South Africans today that at the time they stole land and restricted black people to a small fraction of the country the land was mostly lying fallow. The fact is that those who owned the art works kept and care for them in the palace. They had no books - those artworks contained their history and folkways. Then they were stolen. This is why they must be returned. It does not matter that the generality of Nigerians don't appreciate art. The Binis certainly do. The British are welcome to buy our artworks if they want but what was stolen ought to be returned.

Conclusions like this is borne out of our usual assumption that the whites generally are naive and they don't have juju.

Oga the whites had juju and gun (The Greco-Roman civilization with its withes, wizards, gods, etc. quickly comes to mind). In fact, I read somewhere long ago about a time in the history of the British people when parliament passed a law banning any further practice of witchcraft. There would be no point banning it if they never practiced it for real.

We had only juju and cutlass, etc ... with no anti-bullet juju back den oo, because we needed to have guns first before we can come up with any invention of anti-bullet juju.

They had juju, guns, and whatever we had. So tell me how they won't colonize us.
So the British used juju on Benin - I guess that's why all the human sacrifices the natives made to ward off the invaders failed. Wonderful.

Return wetin? Those things are better off where they are currently, at least they are being appreciated there. Bring it to Nigeria and watch it become junk in less than one year. How many museums in Nigeria are functioning let alone being up to standard angry angry
This is nonsense. Why do you think the people that made the art works do not appreciate them? Those things were not junk when the British looted them; they were well kept in the Oba's Palace. We are not against the export of art, but they should be properly negotiated and paid for, not stolen.

You can not separate the VP's performance and competence from the President simply because the VP functions at the pleasure and direction of the President so this is actually the President performing.

In Public Administration, it's called delegation of duties.

Incompetence is when many of you can not apply basic common sense, simple logic and civic education about your government and how it functions.

With many of you as the so called Nigerian youths and leaders of tomorrow, Nigeria is in for a rough time.
I'll ignore your insults since you NL kids can't do without it especially when defending those who wreck your country.

You're spouting theories. Congratulations on your grasp of public administration. But what we have seen in the last three years is that Nigeria actually sees governance whenever Buhari goes on his sick leave or wherever it is he goes and Osinbajo is in charge. Once he returns, we return to ungovernance. Let's try this for your common sense and logical thinking skills: Of the seven points listed in the post I responded to, tell me which one is a specific action that was taken by the VP when your delegator-president was around.

lol...so while placing a call with the stones flying in from different angles and the vilolent protesters getting closer, what do you do? leave the vehicle containing the ammunition and run away to call police to use non-lethal force. The protesters that are not scared of gun shots fired to the air will be scared of non- lethal force. Do you know what will happen if the shiite protesters manage to catch just one soldier or are able to get hold of the truck of ammunition? Shebi you are in your father's house eating indomie and browsing. You think it is beans to face a bunch of mad people or you did not see a video of the police man that shites murdered.
[quote author=Sagay212 post=72635561]You put it well in bolded. When people are not scared of bullets, there's only one sensible thing left for you to do - non-lethal force. Or have you ever heard that you're firing tear gas or hot water or pepper at people and they kept coming? No. They disperse. We turned Boko Haram into what it is today by killing them when they were not yet killing us. That is exactly what we are doing with Shiites now. But I know this will fly right over your head. The only thing your type understand is shoot 'em up. You people will enjoy the mess you're creating.

And what's your point about the policeman who was killed? That we should withdraw the police from our streets and deploy the army? You've obviously heard of the word reinforcement but it seems you don't know what it means.

Instead of blaiming the NA and forming human rights, please tell us what you will do as a soldier in that situation.
I'd place a call to the commissioner of police to send policemen to disperse them with non-lethal force.
