dolphinheart: When someone is disfellowshiped, everyone is sad. But that emotional state does not mean they must change the rule on what the disciples say must be done in the congregation. There is a process before one is being disfellowshiped where the reason for ur actions, the circumstances sorrounding it and your desire in seeking repentance and corrections are being examined. If you are being disfellowshiped, then there is a high probability you have done something wrong , and if you have not done something wrong, there is a process in which you can have the issue reassesed by others.
Even if you are disfellowshiped ,it is not the end, there is a process of coming back to the fold , if you have shown true repentance, the process is easy and straightforward.
1. What religious organization do u associate with now 2. Why are you dissolutioned .
On the issue of hypocricy, ill like the poster to tell us one of their hypocritical behavior , and we will see if its a general behavior associated with them or its just an individuals imperfect actions. There are people who take there spiritual uprightness too far, looking at someone who made a mistake as if he is stained with poo. This to me is wrong and with time, the heart of those ones are corrected . If you look at those people as the bases for being dissolusioned , then stop cus its wrong . Aren't you missing something? What if he doesn't want to come back to the fold, having examined his conscience and found the fold is not good for him at that time? You think anyone should suffer emotional torture for that? |

If a former governing body can leave, if elders can leave, then anyone can. Their insights will be valuable.
I have a 3rd recommendation, and this one can be found online. Look for Shepherd the Flock of God, which is the secret manual that only elders are allowed to see. Its the manual for maintaining witnesses.
Good luck. Even Crisis of Conscience is available online, I think. I have a digital copy - can't recall how I got it, though. I can email it to Flytefalls if she wants. |

Gbawe: Right about now, they will even endorse Satan and his evil army taking over Nigeria if they can be promised that the Yorubas will suffer the most. As I have said before, the SE and SS should be careful going public with their hatred and resentment of the SW. They will be the long term losers of such a strategy of hate when the SW wake up to and begin to deliberately address this unrequited hatred from those we are nothing but hospitable and accommodating towards.
We will see who will lose out in the end. All the SW did was the responsible thing by voting out a misruler who was destroying Nigeria even as we must inform some hateful element that said misrulers still garnered healthy votes in the SW while they gave Buhari and the APC virtually nothing. If some ethnic jingoists and bigots now want to fight the SW for taking making electoral choices we are free to make, when they even gave the misruling GEJ virtually 100% figures, then I say bring it on !!! In life, It is pointless trying to pacify unreasonable people who operate with minds totally destroyed by hate. I therefore implore the bigots to do their worst. I agree with this post. |

Isn't this sort of hypocritical No, it's not. He was still in the private sector when that young man went to school abroad. It is hypocritical when serving public official, particularly an elected one, sends his child to a private school or to a school abroad. Ben Murray-Bruce has been saying the right things lately. GenBuhari: It is likely due to its plan to reconquest Africa and secure our natural resources. It is best to achieve this goal if there are no powerful nations like Nigeria left in Africa. When America was predicting the break us almost 20 years ago, we were sceptical, now it has become apparent that America was merely stating an objective they have set themselves - to break up Nigeria. What natural resources? I mean, any specific examples? Do you have any link to any document where America predicted Nigeria's breakup 20 years ago or at any other time? |

GenBuhari: Let us use our brain for a moment:
Are we supposed to believe that:
A rag tag group of religious extremists that took up arms just 3years ago, and who travels around on motorbikes / small pickup vehicles carrying small arms; are too good for the combined forces of the great Nigerian military (that simultaneously won 2 regional civil wars within months under Gen. Abacha), Chad, Cameroon, Niger, with assistance of France, America and Uk? That we have to be now employing racist white mercenaries also, and yet Boko Haram still survives?
Common now!
If it is not making sense, it is because you are being told a lie and you need to start to search for the truth.
Why is America with is Africom involvement not giving us more assistance?
Why has America even failed to label Boko haram as a terrorist group?
Why is America so involved in our internal affairs, yet seems unwilling to assist to end the Boko Haram menace?
Truth is is that Boko haram is backed by America for the sole purpose of contributing to the disintegration of Nigeria in 2015
Chad, Cameroon, Niger are puppets of France who are assisting America in breaking Nigeria up, those francophone countries would be allowed by America to annex Nigerian territories.
Boko haram that is being used as the excuse to invite Chad into Nigeria are made up of Chadian and other Francophone troops in mufti. The only people being killed in the so-called war on Boko Haram are thousands if not millions of innocent Nigerians that refuse to be "internally displaced".
The "war" is shrouded in secrecy and most of news we are fed comes from Chadian military showing pictures of Nigerians they massacred on the orders of America and reporting it as victims of the phantom "Boko Haram"
I can hear some people saying "oh but Buhari is coming" All I say is pray that nothing happens to Buhari before he gets his hands on power.
Why does America want Nigeria to "disintegrate in 2015"? |

Kagame: Shamsudeen Usman is a respected former finance minister so his words should be taken with some level of seriousness.
Truly,it seems there is some internal wrangling which is normal during power sharing.
At the federal level ,an unelected person should not be seen as having too much influence on the president ,else the president will be labelled a puppet and would always be seen from that light.
I also respect Tinubu for his public conduct since the election ended ,he has been less intrusive (at least from the public eye) even though he might have been working hard behind the scenes to maintain his influence within the party , but it looks like there are some party members who are not happy with him and would be glad to see his back or have his influence whittled ,at least.
Whatever be the case, they should come up with a good team to serve Nigerians who voted for change. If you believe Shamsudeen Usman, the former minister, said those words to Newswire, you will believe anything. I guess they spoke to another SU and gave the name prominence, hoping you'd think it was the SU you know. There is or will be a rift between Buhari and Tinubu but this article is full of hypotheses and conjectures. You take these "infestations of the Internet" seriously at your peril. |

phyllosilicate: I find it insulting for you to insinuate, I speak of what I am ignorant of. I am from edo state, grew up in Benin and know our history.
There is a difference between Language and dialect. For example, yoruba is a language and there are many Yoruba dialect. Edo is the language of Benin people. Estako, Ishan, Urobo, Isoko, Akoko Edo are not dialects of Edo language. if an Akoko Edo man speaks, a Benin man would not understand anything. I see you really have it all confused and need some help sorting it out. Here - The "Edo languages" or "Edo group of languages" or "Edoid languages" are Bini, Esan, Afemai, Ora, Urhobo, Isoko, etc. They are not "dialects of Edo language"; they are Edo languages. Now, let's help you understand this. The above listed languages are not dialects of Bini. They are languages. I think your confusion arises from failure to appreciate the nuances of words and thus understand the proper USES of the word "Edo". To you, Edo = Bini. In a context, it does. But in the context it is used here, it does not. What I am trying to explain to you is: Edo languages does not mean dialects of Bini. An "Edo language" is simply any language that belongs to the same linguistic group (or subgroup, if you like) as Bini. If you still don't get it, google "language group" or "language family". That should help further. |

chukxie: Do you speak Ekpon? Or taken a deep study of the language and its etymology? Please do then come back and tell me if Ekpon is truly an Esan dialect. Thanks. I have long taken considerable interest in the language maybe because my biology teacher, who had an Esan name by the way, came from there. Agbedeh has more Esan words than Afemai but that doesn't make them Esan. Because of their history. You want to know why Ekpon identifies as Esan and is in fact Esan? Ask your old men about your history. As for the language, the Igbo words were acquired through ages of trade and association with Agbor. Agbor, by the way, is a mixture of Bini and Igbo but it's not considered an Edo language. |

Who dash Urhobos 5th largest in Nigeria? Binis in Nigeria and in diaspora if calculated are over 7 million. Are Urhobos more than the Ijaws or even the ikwerres in total population? Are Urhobos more than the Tiv people of Benue? Don't allow tribal sentiment becloud your sense of reasoning. Urhobos that are not more than 2 million in total population are the people you want to compare with the Binis whose empire stretched to lagos and as far as benin republic. Urhobos have always been slaves to the binis and they'll continue to remain slaves. You had to join in ruining your own otherwise great thread with your ethnic chauvinism and idiocy. Slave indeed. |

barcanista: @OP: The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission determines the remuneration of Public office holders EXCEPT the Judiciary. However, the commission is guided by law of the Parliament (NAsS). The allocation cannot be modified or reviewed by the President except the law establishing it is amended by members of National Assembly. In other words, they still have the key. The best a President can do is to persuade members of NASS to amend the law guiding RMAFC. Otherwise, he can only make empty rant. He can't even change what his VP, Ministers, SAs, SSAs or even himself earn. He can only decide to forfeit a percentage of his income. As for the NASS, I bet you that any bill to amend the law guiding RMAFC will be killed upon arrival. Right. We, the people, have to march on that NASS, otherwise, no show. |
