http://www.metronaija.com/2016/11/buhari-photos-ambode-edo-university.html The ownership of this university is still not clear. They say it was built by Edo state government. If that is true, then it belongs to Edo state. Otherwise, can Edo state government build it as a parting gift for Oshio? Edo state already has a university in Ekpoma which they are unable to fund properly due to recession, do they need the burden of another university if this one belongs to the government? This are the issues I have with the political elites. |
Politics › Re: Supreme Court Rules On Bayelsa Governorship Election by july66: 2:20pm On Nov 08, 2016 |
NaijaHard: Residents of Yenagoa woke up on Tuesday morning to witness increased security around Government House and strategic areas of the capital in anticipation of Supreme Court judgement on Bayelsa governorship poll.
A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria in Yenagoa reports that all the roads leading to Onopa, the seat of government were blocked by armed security men.
Motorists and other commuters were forced to seek alternative routes to their destinations.
The Supreme Court will deliver judgment on Monday on the legal tussle between Gov. Seriake Dickson of the PDP, who was declared winner of the poll and Chief Timipre Sylva, the APC candidate who challenged the victory.
Sylva had approached the election petitions tribunal which upheld Dickson’s election.
Not satisfied by the verdict of the tribunal, the APC candidate took his case to the Appeal Court which also affirmed the decision of the tribunal.
However, inspite of the heavy presence of security men deployed in strategic locations, the capital remains calm.
DSP Asinim Butswat told NAN in a telephone interview that the deployment was to ensure the prevailing peace in the capital is maintained.

naomidediva: A sad end has come to the journey on earth of a young Benue man simply identified as Abba Peter Ameh who had just completed his one year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
A source who spoke exclusively with NAOMIDEDIVA.COM revealed that Ameh who was one of the Batch B Stream 2 set corp members that passed out on Friday, November 4, was reportedly heading back home to meet his family in Benue State when the fatal accident occurred on Sunday, November 6.
The fatal auto mishap took place along the deadly Otukpa -Ugbokolo Road in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The scheme was originally meant to heal the wounds of war & unite the country but there are a thousand & one other actions being taking by successive governments that tend to tear us apart. Let them address this and the country will be together not NYSC. |

TunezBlog: Newly married actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu has been called out by a lady on gram who claims to be his babymama.
The Nollywood star who walked down the aisle with his wife in a well attended white wedding in October has been accused of having a child with one Jennifer John before settling down to marry his wife.
His wife, a fashion designer named Maureen Esisi had organised a surprise birthday party for the movie star which she shared some of the photos on her social media page then an account with the name, Jennifer John made insulting comments by calling her names while stating that she has a child with the man she just got married to.
Blossom and Maureen had their traditional wedding back in December last year and held their white wedding in early October this year.
http://www.tunezmediablog.com/2016/11/alleged-babymama-of-newly-married.html The bible made it clear that on the last days women will cluster around men if only to bear their name. Men, better be careful. Hiv is real but apart from that women are in desperate gear these days. They lure you to sex & set you up with pregnancy & insist on keeping it. I detest insults on this platform but it will not be well with such demons. Agreed mistakes can be made but when you set a man up with an unwanted pregnancy, I assure a seed a hatred has been sewn because each time the man sets his eyes on the child, he remembers the deceit, betrayer & evil done by the woman. That's the bitter truth. |

PapaBrowne: Oshiomole built a nice hospital here. It sure would be a legacy for him as he leaves office this week. I hope the Daura man can learn a thing from Oshiomole. Oshiomole started that project and when he had built it up to the 3rd floor, the building collapsed. He didn't cry a blame anyone. He simply gave it sometime went back to the drawing board and rebuilt it and now we have a Central Hospital that no other one can compete with except maybe Akpabio's construction in Uyo. Buhari should learn from that and stop the lazy blame game he has inundated us with for almost 2 years. Its a beautiful edifice but I hope it is strong enough because a portion collapsed & killed one of the white men who started it. Its a good legacy that deserves the commendation of all though like they all do these days, no mention was made of the project cost to avoid eye brows being raised. |

Such a call at dis point should have been reserved for a different occasion.. I totally disagree with you. Everyone, including PDP members agree the Goodluck Jonathan's government was a corrupt one so there is no way such government would have investigated Amaechi because they are the same. Now that we have a government that appears ready to fight corruption, the only way to convince doubting Thomases is to treat all allegations irrespective of political affiliation. With the kind of argument you are putting forward, the anti corruption war is not against corrupt people in Nigeria but against corrupt people in PDP. When they treat the war holistically, then we will know they are ready. Otherwise, no matter the evidences, people will end up being persecuted rather than being prosecuted. |

JumiR: The National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Mr. Muiz Banire, SAN was yesterday quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) for about seven hours at its Lagos Zonal Office over an alleged payment of N500,000 into the account of a judge{Justice Terseer Agbadu-Fishim of the National Industrial Court}. Banire was later released on administrative bail after the agency seized his international passport. Going by reports, Banire was summoned to the Lagos office of the EFCC on Thursday and he obliged by turning up for questioning after which he was asked to return on Friday(yesterday).
Meanwhile, Banire in a text message to PUNCH before he was invited by the EFCC, maintained that the money was not a bribe but he was merely helping the judge who was broke at the time. Banire in the text said, “Thank you for clarification sought. I have no official relationship with the said judge. I have never appeared before him in any matter and in fact, in my entire professional career, I have only recently a month ago appeared at the industrial court before a separate judge. He was an old friend in the 90s, who only called me up some years back to seek financial assistance due to his mother’s death. Beyond that, I have not seen him in the last 17 years.”
In another development, former Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro was yesterday granted bail by the anti-graft agency after refunding the sum of N100 million out of the sum of N4.7 billion he allegedly embezzled. Obanikoro is being accused of paying over N3.88 billion out of the N4.7 billion traced to companies linked to him to Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose and former Osun Sate Deputy governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore. VANGUARD reports that Omisore refunded N50 million to EFCC yesterday following the initial return of N300 million before making this latest payment.

Islie: https://newtelegraphonline.com/apcll-ensure-buhari-recontests-in-2019-oyegun/ That is how they prevailed on Jonathan to contest. I am sure his mental acuity would have deteriorated to an extent where they will keep him & be ruling with his name like they did with Yar Adua. Secondly, they need to improve now rather than talking of 2019 when nothing has been fixed as they promised. They promised better exchange rate but the exchange rate has gone haywire. They promised to reduce fuel price but they increased it & are planning another increment. The promised to give food to school children but nothing yet. They promised to provide 3,000,000 jobs but people are loosing jobs daily because of the policies they are rolling out. Let us forget about party politics. The fight against corruption is good. We all love it but I think the change they promised needs to transform into better life for the people which I do not think is the case right now. So I suggest that Oyegun out to be bothered that they are giving Nigerians the opposite of what they promised rather than talking about 2019 elections. |
