If you are unable to find a man willing to truly love you, it is because you are the kind that doesn't deserve it!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/family/4365171/Social-services-remove-young-children-from-grandparents-and-arrange-adoption-by-gay-couple.html

Social services have removed two young children from the care of their grandparents and arranged for them to be adopted by a homosexual couple.

The five-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister were being looked after by their grandparents because their mother, a recovering drug addict, was not considered capable.

But social workers stepped in after allegedly deciding that the couple, who are aged 59 and 46, were "too old" to look after the children.

They were allegedly stripped of their carer's rights and informed they would be barred from seeing the children altogether unless they agreed to the same-sex adoption.

The distraught grandfather said: "It breaks my heart to think that our grandchildren are being forced to grow up in an environment without a mother-figure.

"We are not prejudiced, but I defy anyone to explain to us how this can be in their best interests.

"The ideal for any child is to have a loving father and a loving mother in their lives."

His wife added: "It's so important for children to fit in, and I feel our grandchildren will be marked out from the start when they draw pictures of their two dads."

The case raises fears about state interference in family arrangements, and concerns about the practice of adoption by same-sex couples.

Social workers at the City of Edinburgh Council have been accused of waging a "two-year campaign" through the courts to strip the grandparents of their legal rights as carers of the children.

Social services intervened because of concerns over the age and health of the grandparents, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the children.

The grandfather is a farmhand who has angina while his wife is receiving medication for diabetes.

The children have been in foster care for two years while their grandparents battled the social services department in court.

However, the cost of legal bills forced them to drop the case and relinquish their rights.

The grandparents reluctantly agreed to adoption, provided the children were found a "loving mother and father".

They were told last Thursday that two homosexual men had been chosen as the adoptive parents.

Social workers dealing with the case told them that approved heterosexual couples had also been keen to adopt the children.

When he protested to social workers, the grandfather alleges he was told: "You can either accept it and there's a chance you'll see the children twice a year, or you can take that stance and never see them again."

On another occasion he was allegedly told: "If you couldn't support the children [back the gay adoption], if you were having contact and couldn't support the children, and showing negative feelings, it wouldn't be in their best interests for contact to take place."

The City of Edinburgh Council said that it could not comment on individual cases.

A Catholic Church spokesman has accused social services of "politically correct posturing".

He said: "There is an overwhelming body of evidence showing that same sex relationships are inherently unstable and reduce the life expectancy of those involved.

"With this in mind, the social work department have deliberately ignored evidence which undermines their decision and opted for politically correct posturing rather than providing stability and protection for the children."

I only ever gave my wife one val present while we were dating. She knew how I felt about her and she knows i'm not into doing things simply because many people decide to do them.

Val calebration is no measure of love. In fact, nothing specific is a measure of love. Love is displayed in everything and not just some things.

I have said it and will continue to say it that there are very few people in Nigeria whose hands are not soiled one way or the other.

If we keep pointing fingers at others rather than look at our whole nation and our attitude to riches, we will never progress. Every Nigerian seems to have an attitude that says it's better to get wealth any way (even corruptly) than not to get wealth. Until that attitude is banished, we will continue to wallow in our collective stupidity and general poverty of everything.

Look at this frustrated slowpoke. You better go back to carrying your kpom-kpom on the building site you are working on before your resentment kills you. Suegbe. Because you went to your backward village to marry some local illiterate, you are not used to having strong women who can talk out and speak their minds. Or maybe the life I should aspire to is the "Proper life" of your brethren whose wife was soooooooooooo happy that she decided to have an affair, and whose father-in-law saw that his son had such a "proper life" that he not only had to remove his daughter from that same "proper life", but had to send thugs to beat the crap out of his son-in-law who had been living such a wonderful "proper life". Let me tell you a little secret - I am so green with envy at this kind of "proper life" that I want to change my "miserable" life for it immediately. I want a chance to live the "proper life" of having my spouse cheat on me then having my father-in-law beat the shit out of me to boot (Oh! Happy Day grin. fs, you're right there.

The problem always arises when people try to tell other people how to be in their relationships as if they can profer one answer to fit all relationships. You get people telling husbands not to do kitchenwork for their wives and you find bitter women trying to tell women that they should be insisting on their men cooking at home.

People should keep their bitterness to themselves and not spread their evil around.

Do I look bothered that you do not agree with me? Not in the slightest. And nothwithstanding all your tiresome posts, I am satisfied with my conclusions. Could you come up with the information that you were given that was sufficient to deduce that this husband had battered his wife?

Or are you in the habit (so well known with semi-literates) of concocting stuff in your head and spreading them around as fact?

The worst kind of people in the world are those who are incapable of reasoning logically but who think that they are smart. That sisi jinx believes that the poster gave enough information to conclude that the husband has beaten his wife goes to show that she is not only a relationship failure but a pea-brained cow.

yesterday, my I made my own lunch for work cos my wife was almost late for work. This morning, she was up early and made me something special for lunch.

i dont like going in the kitchen except I have to AND I cant compel my wife to make my meal but she does it because she likes to do it. I think its one of the things she enjoys doing for me. If that means I am enslaving my wife, too bad.

Even when she was doing a PG study, she made me food most times. I dont see it as any big deal. Did any man starve before getting married? That (food making) is definitely not a measure of respect. When she was writing exams sometime ago, I made meals for the whole family and I'm sure I taught her a thing or two in the kitchen about how to burn everything you cook grin

What you described might be your own Modus Operandi, but do not ascribe it o others. Acceptance? What a bloody laugh. . . LMAO. Why would I need acceptance from people I don't know from Adam? (Or did I tell you that I was looking to marry into anyones's family or that I was looking for lucrative contract?. . .LMAO ).

F.Y.I. I do NOT need to read what I wrote again for any reason whatsoever. Quite frankly, I do not give a toss whether you consider me rational or otherwise. If you applied your words to yourself and were rational your very self, you will know that a father does NOT have his child removed from her matrimonial home for no reason at all. There is something called deductive reasoning, try applying it once in a while.

Anyhow, that is neither here nor there. I have given my opinion on the matter, and you are entitled to yours. If you do not like my opinion - TOUGH!
Since it is rational for you to sit down at your PC and decide exactly what happened in someone else's home without being told, that's fine.

Perhaps, you want to find out what is involved in deductive reasoning before getting into that. Deductive reasoning is subject to certain factors being present. You dont deduce by looking into your own made up crystal ball.

Have a great day!

It has become clear why one or two here have never been able to and, it seems, will never be able to settle down with any man. . . .explains their hatred for anything men.
Rather than look at the source of a problem, they check out the reaction first.

It explains why they have always had problems in their supposed love lives. Go on. . . the world goes on and those who live happily live on happily. You can keep hating men till kingdom come. You'll probably soon get one of your type from here and both of you will be together for another few years of your lives before breaking up again and you will be out with greater anger for men.

Keep on trucking!
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Born Cowards! by JustGood(m): 4:00pm On Jan 20, 2009
@luca, I note your points

however, drawing from your own points, we are all cowards because we are unable to continue the fight that some people started for us.

You said most Nigerians will loot because of poverty - the same poverty is what drives Nigerian leaders to loot - effectively, this means that we are all looters, maybe because of poverty.

I do not want to get into what I have done but i can let you know that I have done something and I actually left as a result of the fact that I noticed that most Nigerians would rather continue in the same attitudes that got us into poverty. I could have left immediately after my secondary education or at any time for that matter but I chose to stay in Nigeria. I tried to do something when I felt I was in a position to do something and even those who claimed to believe in the ideals sold out when the politicians came calling with cash only enough to buy them one meal each.

Who is to blame for that? huh

You asked Tgirl this question but I'm going to comment from my own perspective.

If I asked my mother why she got married, she would say did it because she wanted to be happy and raise a family with the man she loved. If I ask her if she regrets getting married, she would say she does. 3/4 of her life has been spent serving a man who is not only a useless husband but also an ungrateful tart. I am prolly the only kid who grew up wishing her parents would just get up and divorce the Bleep out of each other.

This has however not changed my views about marriage and the whole enchilada. I still want to get married, you know, its nice to love, be loved and have a stable and happy family unit. But right now, I have SERIOUS commitment issues. I can't even think about marriage, a husband or a family right now. If I decide to remain a single woman for the rest of my life, its my call but I would get married. . . . maybe. undecided
I dont mean any offence but I dont think you'll ever make a good wife for any decent man.

I remember dating a girl that I thought I loved but she was living with her sisters and mum at the time, away from their dad. I decided that I didn't want her to be my wife because her mum came across as being 'too independent' for my liking and this made me feel that she is not someone who would be bothered too much about marriage as she was being brought up to see life that way. I knew then even as young as I was, that I wanted a partner who would be as committed as I am to marriage and who would be willing to make things work even when if we have quarrels and differences.

I'll cut it all short by saying she recently divorced her second husband and she told me that the guy does not want her to be independent. I dont know why she left the first husband. . . I made the right decision about her in spite of my friends thinking I was being stupid (she was, and still is, very beautiful).

I wish you all the best anyway.
