So far you are doing the right thing, complete the 3rd party form and continue with the application, you can also select the option that says..i'm the parent..again you will still submit consent letter and fill for financial documents.

P.S: The approved loan does not cover my full tuition fees, however, I have kept the balance and the maintenance in my bank account (counting 28days).

My wife lives in the UK and she's a permanent resident (LR- leave to remain indefinitely) but my major issue now is, upon filing my online application form for student visa i was asked to provide the address of where my wife lives cos it's obvious we don't live together presently. But putting her UK address now is really scaring me cos I've a feeling UKVI could be feeling that I'm not a legit student. Please what can be done in this regard a prompt response will be appreciated from anyone here. Thanks.

However, I met one agent online who said he could help me secure admission into a Canadian university and I won’t pay school fees until I land there, I don’t know how possible it is and I can work before the start of the session and can even raise some money to add pay for school fees from working.

I have had to calculate everything by myself, flight is about 500k, talk of visa and processing fees, can one even get a job without permit cause I learnt you can’t apply for permit without a school fees payment, ah, I don’t tire for this life.

If you have the brain to learn all that by yourself then you should know that what the agent is telling you is nonsense. He just want your money and you will get nothing at the end.

I can see many of them in this thread asking you to contact them already.

Its a cheap scam and only dumb people fall for such scam

I applied for my wife and child but didn't pay for the courier at the time of biometrics because I was expecting it to take 15working days and most likely my wife will be back in Abuja to pickup. After about 5 working days I got pickup mail and had to pay for courier via the account sent. Now my wife got her passport back but my child's visa wasn't sent. I have sent several mails to them but no response. Is there a specific method to collect a child's passport from VAC? Any one experienced such @justwise and other gurus pls help

A lot of people experience this so its nothing to worry about really, i don't think they always process family application together or dispatch them the same time

After paying the deposit you will be issued a CAS to apply for visa, you need to show the remaining 50% plus maintenance money to be able to get a visa

Don't take any offer if you don't have the money to study in the UK, its a very expensive project to embark on.

Hello house. So I got a conditional offer for geographical information system from University of leicester..the conditions is I provide a second reference letter. Done that. But then there was these other condition "You must ensure you pay the University a minimum of 50% of your tuition fees (or provide evidence of sponsorship or loan) by the 3rd September 2021. Please be aware that bank transfers can take up to 10 working days to be received and processed." My tuition is 13500 pounds. I honestly don't know how to go about that other condition pls help out. My question is must I fulfil it or I can ignore it and pursue my visa application and pay when I get there. Can not paying affect my visa applications? Pls help thanks.

2. I have someone who already wants to apply for UK study visa from Nigeria and have his money in a joint account bearing his name and that of his wife. The wife's name will be mentioned in his application but they are not applying at same time. The plan is for him to go first and the wife apply after a few months. Is it advisable to use such an account or not, they have keep this account funded for over 1 month.

Also no landlord will grant permission for subletting? Landlords do not hold back consent you know expect they sense a danger/activity that could impact the property or its dwellers negatively.
For example I remember when i used to rent from ahency. Before taking on a property i declared my intentions to sublet the second room and the agency accepted my request and clearly stated it should be subletted to just one person as there is a maximum number of dwellers for a property.

With all these shared please Can you share a link where the uk law terms subletting as illegal? I am really curious.

Also if the applicant stays in a massive shared house, then it will be a big guess that the landlord has a HMO license.

At the time when I applied for my spouse visa, my hubby nd i werent even renting yet. We were staying with family. Neither of our names were on the agreement, but we submitted the tenancy agreement like that from the actual tenants. We wrote a letter truthfully explaining our living condition and how we were expecting to move to a place of ours as soon as we settle as newly wedded. We also got a letter from the landlord confirming his awareness about our presence in the property.

Lexus i dont know if any of these things i said does make a difference My whole point is i don’t think the applicant is in a difficult or complicated position really But hey as you rightly said the cost for a spouse visa is very high as such application should be done meticulously. The applicant can decide to take up your suggestions to be on the safest side. Also dear applicant it wouldn’t be a very bad idea to voice out your concerns to a lawyer who does free consultation (i hope the applicant reads this)

Justwise the flaw with this plan is that there is no assurance he would be out of the hotel in 3 days. He might arrive the uk and be told the property is gone. The might the property is not available for immediate move. Also have you factored the isolation time as well, he wouldn’t be able to attend viewings immediately he arrives.

I have had people in the past go through this route and honestly its not the best because most people end up getting anyhow property in a rush because the hotel bills keeps rising.

That plan will work if he plans well as just like many foreign students who arrived here without a place to stay.

You don’t just book one appointment, you book at least 3 and use your time in the hotel to view them.

Far better than paying for an accommodation you haven’t viewed or don’t even know if that accommodation exists at all.

It will be a mistake to pay deposit for an accommodation even before you arrive in the UK.

I would be coming next month to begin my masters program and I have a few questions I would like you all to help me with.

1. My school is in Wales (USW) and I know virtually no one there, is there some sort of forum where I can meet people there?

2. Accomodation-wise, is it advisable for me to pay for my accomodation(private, not school) while still here in Nigeria or should I instead arrive in the UK first, lodge and take time to go round and get one suitable?

3. Asides being a construction engineer, I have a personal side business I do, I'm an artist...I make portrait and realistic drawings based on orders for people who want to surprise people and people who want it shaa. Would I be able to carry this on successfully in the UK without facing any danger?
as I've heard that students are not entitled to have a private business while on a study visa.

That is not a good idea, book for 2-3 days hotel accommodation and use that period to get yourself a place. You can search for accommodation using post code closer to your university then book viewing appointment few days before you arrive to the UK.

Congrats on securing your visa! Just like you, many of us came here without knowing anyone and have had to build up our contacts over time.

I know Cardiff Uni where I graduated from has several groups on Facebook like Cardiff Uni Overhead. Search for similar groups for your Uni.

I wouldn't advise you to pay for accommodation before coming down here. I'm in Cardiff where USW main campus is located. I know for a fact that most letting agents are not very transparent and the pictures online might slightly differ from the reality on ground. Also, you should be aware that some letting agents are a pain in the ass to deal with.

Danger in terms of exceeding your 20hours limit? I don't know how that's possible because, from my point of view, only you can decide or report how long it took you to make a painting. If you report your earnings as self-employed, be sure not to exceed over 20hours/weekly.

As a foreign student he is not allowed to be self employed/run a business let a lone report his earning. That is against his student visa rule

Good evening house. I have just been offered a place in an international school in Istanbul as an Instructor. But there had been delays with the
whole process. The school emailed me that my contract was ready for signing by 3 PM in the school in Istanbul today. I had to inform them that it will be impossible. Now the HR has promised to ask their lawyer to send a digital copy of the contract to me for signing by tomorrow; though unsure of the implications of this.

But what worries me is that I have to be in the school for orientation and commencement by 7th September, 2020. They promised to help in converting my residence permit to a work visa but will not assist in getting the residence permit. Please how do I cope to meet up with this timeline. I don't want to miss this opportunity after going through the long recruitment process. Please advise me on fasted route to get my travel documents.
