BiolaOmowaye: Lol Oga i no dey pay anything until i see my passport granted visa.
i want to believe that you are joking..or innocently naive Who told you that an agent can get you a real visa without you paying anything? He can give you that assurance because he knew that he will definitely put fake visa stamp on your passport, collect that 1.4M then do a runner. Canadian embassy is closed so there is no way he can send in an application for you or you going for medical. You can't work with visiting visa in Canada, so he lied to you when he said that you will be able to get a job within a month. Good luck |

BiolaOmowaye: I Get you.
I’ve even seen someone that want to help me run Canada. He said i just need to come with my passport to his office and when the visa is out I’ll pay him 1.4. He said he has reliable link. That i don’t need to pay shishi yet. That’s better no upfront payment and he said I’ll have 2years working permit. I'm 100% sure that you are a potential victim, that person will clean you up and you still come back here to complain. Try it and come back here to shame me. This sort of scam is very very common |

I am a bit surprised at you to be honest. A very wise person once said the more I learn ,the more I realise I know nothing.
Stand down please. Everyone is working from home.Websites are not getting updated as frequently. Not everything can be found on the internet anymore. I have it on good authority that the travel documents were perfectly in order. 56 of them had visa waivers. 2 had valid visas.
Learn to leave room for dissenting opinions. Even Priti Patel the home secretary wont argue the way you are arguing here You can never learn when you believe anything without seeing an evidence, yes people work from home and website get updated from home as well. 1. If their papers were in order as you stated then why were they not allowed to travel? 2. The health care recruitment agent can not give them visa waiver letter as many of you here have stated..only the UKBA can give such letter( Honestly i have never heard of such letter as regards to Nigerians) 3. How can a recruitment agent charter a flight, land in Nigeria to pick up 58 Nigerians without the consent of Nigerian govt or even the immigration authority? Punch newpaper reported and i quote : The NIS Spokesman, Sunday James, said in a statement on Friday that the doctors claimed to be going for training but had no visasDoes that make sense to you? |

laiperi: You know what, we all should be loyal to this country, not doctors alone. We need some incentives or deterrent to enforce this. Look at the children of the privileged. They send their children to the best schools at home and abroad. So you should not be surprised that they are the first to complain about Nigeria because they feel entitled than other professionals or the poor and will disown their loyalty or the country like the poor that have nothing.
One of my beef with them is that in the countries they run to, the privileged champion the cause of the poor, the rich bequest their wealth to good causes. And for the first time, children of the privileged whites came out, outnumbering blacks in the demonstrations.
As I stated before those Indians that make up the majority of foreign doctors in UK fight for their Civil Rights, discrimination, exploitation of Rural and Remote areas doctors. One of my brothers here feign ignorance of Rural or Remote areas in Europe or America, Western world for short.
So educate me how we can have loyalty to Nigeria when selfishness and greed override everything. You are good at making allegations with no evidence to back them up. Like i said before..mention those remote areas in the UK or western countries where foreign doctors are maltreated as you clamined |

fairfora: You're right( valid for british citizens ONLY) but in a global pandemic as this, vis a vis their profession, an non-british citizen can also apply for one by contacting the embassy. I'm quite aware of a tier-2 visa very well.
Please read the below for more.
https://www.gov.uk/world/organisations/british-high-commission-abuja.
I did a screenshot capturing it as below as well. Bro this is not the same, you are misinterpreting that link. You may be a UK resident but not a British citizen which is what that link is referring to. People holding Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) who are stranded abroad or lost their biometric visa card abroad can apply for ETD but a foreigner with no link to the UK can not apply for ETD to travel to the UK. Those doctors are coming to the UK to work and its not an emergency situation. If you are a Nigerian studying in the UK and lost your passport or it got stolent when visiting Nigeria you can contact the British embassy to get the visa reissued or some ETD to allow you renter the UK. |

fairfora: But each of them was in possession of an ETD. In a situation like this, medical personnel can travel without a visa ,same applies to envoys and diplomats. The ETD had already covered them. The Nigerian government was only afraid of reactions which could trail this, should they be allowed to travel. Maybe if they were 5 people max, there couldn't have been an issue. The number was intimidating especially in such a global pandemic as this when countries are recalling retired medics to help them due to inadequacy in the number of medical personnel.
It would have been a disgraceful thing and santions would have been applied by those International organisations planning to send covid-19 relief funds to Nigeria. The immigration just saved our govt the global disgrace, especially with the recent news of lagos state govt sacking frontline workers at isolation centres when the number wasn't even enough. What the immigration said about visa didn't hold water because even if you're in possession of a valid visa , they could still prevent you from travelling due to one reason or the other. I have a colleague who's an anaesthetist. A couple of foreign airlines still operate here and Turkish is one of them. His visa had expired buy was issued an ETD being a medical doctor. You mean Emergency travel Document? |

laiperi: This thread is a typical example of individual contribution to corruption while blaming the other guy.
Most of those that get into professional schools in Nigeria are the children of the rich and well connected. I hasten to say it is also true in Western countries. But the children of the poor that get in Nigeria are not as committed to Justice for the deprived areas as they are in the States.
Moreover, it is the parents of these well connected children that mess up the country in the first place. Now their children are blaming the rest of us for not providing them enough money to live the looted life their parents provided them.
It gets worse because the children of the poor that are brilliant and could not be refused entry into professional schools join the spoiled brats club.
So in pursuit of money, any Agent that understands the greed mentality of our youth can charter a plane and dump them into slave labor market. The Agent does not even have to be as smart as them but streetwise.
Some of you know how these young doctors are treated in the villages to encourage them to stay. The love, respect and kindness showered on them compared to the underserved areas they are recruited to in Western countries. They drive down wages of Western doctors because they are not regarded as real doctors, they are abused and used in any role.
But eh, they make more money than in Nigeria! This disturb those that left the same Western countries and come home to serve. Can you give an example of such situation in the UK or any other western countries? As far as i know there is no understandable area in the UK that a Dr will be dumped and treated badly |

Do people get sent back to their country on this?
Thanks for your response as its going to help me take decisions. If you can not even afford to pay 50% is an indication that you don't have the money to meet the financial requirement to start with. How will you convince the embassy that you can afford to study in the UK if you are unable to deposit 50% school fees? |

KosiGee: The letter didn’t claim to issue visa waiver to the doctors. It says NES will issue visa waiver LETTER and they have been in discussions with the Uk immigration according to the letter.
....but then NES or not, we are witnessing a large influx of Nigeria trained medical professionals. This has been going on for years now. The good news is that, these group of people work in some of the major adult and paediatric trauma centres...straight from Nigeria and they are doing really well hence why the recruitment agencies always come back for more Nigerians.
Universities Teaching Hospitals Oxford and Cambridge (Addenbrookes’s) employed up to 8 Nigerian radiographers in the past two years and some doctors as well and more are coming. Nhs hospitals in London will welcome a few more people once the lockdown is relaxed and international flights resume. That is not possible, proof me wrong anywhere. Recruitment agency has no power to issue visa waiver letter, its the responsibility of the UKBA to do that. Yes i know that many Nigerians Drs have being coming to the UK recently to work before the pandemic, i know a Romanian friend who recruits for NHS, sometimes last year she sent me a whatsapp message asking me to help pass it on to Nigerians i know that are qualified. |

KosiGee: NES is a known recruitment agency for foreign trained doctors. Nigerian doctors are aware of the organisation.
Another two health care organisations where I’ve seen some Nigerians are Alliance Health and Inhealth...these two recruit radiographers.
I believe that those doctors would’ve called the office/management of NES before attempting to leave. Maybe there’s something that’s missing from that report. Personally, I’ve never heard of visa waiver in the Uk as I don’t work with Border control/Uk visa or have heard anyone who travelled without visa but I dismiss the attached document as fake. I'm not going to dispute that fact but like i said before scammers use name of a legitimate business to scam unsuspecting individuals. There is nothing like visa waiver program or special arrangement that will allow a recruitment agency to left 58 Drs from Nigeria to the UK without an agreement between Nigerian govt and the British. This is fishy |

NES healthcare is an authentic organisation. I know two doctors who graduated from Ibadan and ESUT who work with the NHS through them after successfully passing their PLABS.
This is a good time to work with the NHS if you are a doctor or Radiographer. If you are any of above, avail yourself of the endless opportunities and don’t listen to pessimists.
