The pandemic is a new frontier for everyone.
The concept of visa waiver that existed between UK and some countries has been extended to intending essential workers from from other countries. These people most likely hold the initial visa vignette which must have expired due to lock down.
The fact is you can get an electronic visa waiver to enable you pick up your BRP if your initial vignette is expired. This is granted on a case by case basis.
You are making this up, show me a single line from govt website to back this up.

I also saw something like that on twitter.

Doctors are in high demand right now.

Even the US embassy under Trump created a waiver for doctors to come and work in America.
..and you think that the UK govt will fly into Nigeria to pick up those doctors without informing the Nigerian govt? And they will travel without a visa?

They all had letters from the UK Home Office and the UK also sent a jet to convey them. It's part of the Covid strategy as countries (uk, usa etc )are looking for doctors. The UK high commission visa section is currently closed thus the government made this arrangement though Nigerian government countered it. A set of over 100 doctors left for USA about two weeks ago .Air peace conveyed them to Lome, Togo (Ethiopian airline's mini west african hub). From Lome they all boarded an Ethiopian airlines flight to USA. Nigerian government had to pull this move else there will be no more doctors left here lol .
Made up stories, so the UK did all that without Nigerian govt consent? They charted a flight and landed in Nigerian airport without any permission from Nigerian govt?

See, I don't have time to argue with you. Of course, I know that visa on arrival is different from visa waiver and I didn't say UK has started visa waiver for Nigerians. I said for doctors. During this COVID period, if you are a doctor from anywhere in the world and you have a job offer in the UK. You can travel to the UK without visa. They started it during this COVID period because UK visa office in Nigeria and many other places are closed because of the pandemic. That's why they put that in place so that doctors who want to travel to UK to resume job can do that. Hopefully, when they UK get across to NIS on this issue, it will make headline. Au revoir
The Uk did not start any visa waiver for doctors wishing to travel to the UK to work, there is nothing like that.

Show me that link to support your false claim.

The UK only gave foreign doctors working in the UK an automatic visa extension without paying for visa fees and ILR to health care families who lost their loved ones working for NHS during this period

Post that link here.

Just a bit of education..visa waiver and visa on arrival are not the same thing.

Show me the link about UK visa waiver for Nigerians.

Enemies of progress.. See the kind of flimsy excuse they're giving.. They should simply say they're jealous the Drs are moving away from this shithole called Nigeria to where things work
They can't continue to hold them back for long, that I'm sure
The country the docs are travelling to already made arrangement for them and is it that they don't know what is called visa on arrival? That is uk's headache not Nigeria undecided

This is misleading, there is nothing like visa on arrival system between Nigeria and the UK, they can't board a flight without a valid visa.

Well, I read the requirements. That's why I was asking for any parents that have done it before or check for their kids. There is a provision for date of birth and SSN in the registration form.
So what you are suggesting is that if someone is using your kId's SSN illegal you have to wait until him/her turns 18 to find out?

Please kindly advise; I have an admission already to resume sept. I work in a bank as a full staff and have a registered company with a plot of land already built to lintel level. My father is to act as my sponsor with a good turn over and standing balance.
Can I apply for visa without paying part of my school fees yet cos the money i am expecting to pay part of my school fees might come in late sept.
Yes but can you prove that the money is available to you by the time you submit your visa application form?

It is only the beneficiary owner of SSN that could create the registration. You can't register for your child. You must be 18 years and above.

So, my child have to be 18years to register and view her SSN records.
I'm not sure you need to be 18 to be able to check this, i think parents should be able to do this...maybe those who have done it will give more info

Mehn, I love this. I am suspecting the woman my wife stayed with when she put to bed in 2014. Some Nigerians in US are fond of using relatives SSN for their own benefit without letting the legitimate owner of the number to know.

I want to check the status of my daughter's SSN. These relatives abroad use the numbers for tax rebates and refund and I don't know if such will show on the SSN of my daughter, Justwise, I am just asking.

My wife said the woman used it why she was there but the woman said she has not been using it since then but I don't trust her.
You need to register first then check, i have not been able to get previous page where this was discussed at length

You are still hanging on on this scam? Are you seriously expecting this to work out how? That you will get a visa to travel to Canada to work?

It amazes me how educated Nigerians with access to unlimited amount of info get taken to the cleaners by some heartless scammers.

Lets start from the simplest thing to do..

1. name and address of that company in Canada

2. Name and business address of the agent in Canada

@justwise.

Good Morning.

Please which exchange rate will one be judged on? is it the exchange rate on the day I submitted my application or the exchange rate on the day I book for biometric or the exchange rate on the day I pay my visa fee?
garuskoko:
I believe it's the exchange rate on the day you SUBMIT your application online to the embassy.

But I'll advise you to SUBMIT and PAY for your visa fees on the same day in order to avoid confusing yourself. See attached

It seems to be correct. Applicants will still need to meet the financial requirements, proof of subsisting relationship etc.

''You can apply from the UK to switch to a long-term UK visa until 31 July 2020 if your leave expires between 24 January 2020 and 31 July 2020. This includes applications where you would usually need to apply for a visa from your home country.''
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-advice-for-uk-visa-applicants-and-temporary-uk-residents
Nah! It’s not correct, read the whole article, it’s clearly talking about immigration visas and not visiting visa. And there is no promise of citizenship through visiting visa .

I read it but I don't quite understand because it's not stated the type of Visa the family must possess before one could apply for it
Family visa is for those applying to join..

-spouse or partner

-fiancé, fiancée or proposed civil partner

-child

-parent

-relative who’ll provide long-term care for you

The process is not the same as visiting visa and it cost a lot.

Please does this mean

*Visitors in the UK can get citizenship*

If you are or know anyone currently in the UK as a visitor or with leave of up to 6 months, the amended UK Immigration rules due to COVID-19 now allows for one to switch into a family or private life route provided the requirements of the Immigration Rules are met.

The application must be done by 30 July 2020 to the latest.

Switching from a visit visa to Family route may lead to British Citizenship

I can't give exact examples but I will try since this is all about educating people to guide their decisions.

I studied engineering and graduated in the UK in the early 2000s. In my class we were 51. The demographic of the class was like this; three quarters of the class was from India and China with a few others from Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia etc 1 white British person,1 Nigerian and myself.

After graduation only a few stayed back in the UK, one of which was the Nigerian and almost 10 years later he was neither working in a professional capacity nor was he a citizen. He was a good, clever enough and we'll packaged guy though and still yet.

When we did an online zoom class reunion recently the only people who were still in the UK were that guy and me.
I understand what you meant by settle now...i thought you were referring to the ability to settle down and a foreigner.

It was a lot difficult in early 200s especially if you are doing masters because you have about 4months after graduation to sort yourself out but with the prospect of PSW you have 2yrs to plan.

UK is a dead country living on past glory
Everyone must not be a doctor and in IT
Thousands, in fact at least 1.5M are employed by NHS alone in the UK, there are hundreds of fields within IT.

yes I'm try to leave for Poland but I do have family members outside this country especially considering the fact that most of them have been living in the UK since 60s, by the way my own sister studied in the UK from 2012-2015 before living for Canada for her masters. She still regrets spend money going over to UK when she should have gone to Germany or Canada in the first place.

How about friends who went there for masters and had to return to Nigeria after their studies. All of them wish they had been patient enough to try out other countries.

If that's not enough for any body to see the red light that UK is not what it use to be, then I don't know what it is.

Some body even pointed out South Africa, do you see me fault that person suggestion. Every man is entitled to his or her opinion. This is a public group.

Justwise the UK you went to, know about, or live In is not the UK of those days. They was a time students ran over to UK like it was heaven but those who know it not the same today, also knowing they are no longer part of the EU.

You should know better.

Finally

I always knew that your initial comment was based on hearsay, you have no single knowledge about the UK.

For the fact that your sister failed to survive in the UK does not mean that others were not successful, many Nigerians planning to travel abroad have one thing in common..lack of planning and direction.

A lot of Nigerian students came to the UK with little or no intention to study, just to leave Nigeria through student route, when that plan failed to materialize they armed themselves with pity party excuses to tell anybody who cares to listen.

Me trolling you? Wishful thinking
