@Justwise.

I'm not eligible to sponsor my younger brother, so I want to transfer the money to his account. The issue is that the young man might withdraw some of the money before or during visa application.I intend putting the account on LIEN/RESTRICTION. but the money will be available to him when he travels to the UK.

Will this affect the Visa decision?
You probably need to wait until such a time your younger brother is mature enough to handle money.

I mean at a point he will be in control of that money in the U.K and will probably squander it.

It's a good thing that you want to restrict it but the problem is the impression it gives to embassy when they run a check on that account.

You rarely see people putting restriction on money they have control over, you do that when somebody else is involved.

It's a tough one, you can do that and it turns out fine but the opposite could also be the case.

No, read it again, I had enough money to pay my tuition fees, It’s the maintenance fee of 9052 pounds that I have to put in my account for a month that put me off.
This thing doesn’t need arguments, it’s something u can easily check for yourself online or call the school to confirm this, unless u are an agent that just do this in order to recruit students. If not, this platform is for everyone to learn , not just to argue for arguing sake.
If u still insist it’s wrong, I will go through my mail and Screenshots all the visa requirements ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY IN SCOTLAND SENT TO ME IN ORDER to be able to get UK VISA.

PS: the maintenance fees is even cheaper in Scotland, it’s higher in some places in LONDON.
Please try to confirm all this before telling me I’m wrong.
Won’t reply u again after this.
Take it or leave it ....PEACE
You are uninformed and lack the ability to read and understand. Suggesting that i may be an agent is just ridiculous to say the least.

Are you new in this section?

Yes you could not afford to study in the UK because the maintenance money is part of financial requirement and not just having fees alone.

The maintenance money is the same for any school in London and less for schools outside London, its 28days and not a month but should available to you even in the UK.

You kept going back and forth with your arguments. You highlighted a portion of my write-up where I wrote WHEN YOU HAVE THE MONEY. You tagged it "classic case of misinformation at its best". But now, you agreed with the monetary conditions before UK Tier4 Visa can be granted. Why?

If you don't have enough money that can take care of your tuition fees (£9,250 - £38,000 annually: depending on your course of study) and upkeep (£1,000 monthly) for a minimun of one year; don't think of UK. But if you have the money, your Visa would be approved easily.

How many average Nigerian students can afford tuition fees in UK compared with Germany which is lesser?
I keep coming back to this because of the level of misinform you put out here, the maintenance money is not for one year, its for 9 months and that money is for the student to use for things like rent, bills, feeding and transport.

Unless you are applying to Oxford or Cambridge no student pays £38,000 a year for tuition fees

Prove me wrong bro, I have three admissions from UK universities last year. That money is the reason I changed my mind. The money 9,052 pounds have to be in your naira account for one month, and u have to apply for visa less than a week after u print out the account statement.
This is from experience. Try to get ur facts right before misleading people.
And apart from this money, if u made part payment of ur Tuition,u have to block the balance that completes the rest in ur naira account in addition to that 9,052 pounds for a month before u can even apply for visa.
No go allow agent give u wrong information. Do research yourself. Peace
You are talking about something completely different, your previous statement about the maintenance money is false, that was what i highlighted and wrote: That is not true.

What you wrote here simply means that you could not afford to study in the UK and you changed your mind for Germany because its free tuition fees.

That would have been nice justwise but even though it is not illegal to give birth, there is no visa category for it so if you main purpose is to give birth then there is no visa category that can fit your demand and because the visa officer cannot create a category just for you, they will have no option to deny you.

America treats medical (giving birth) visa as a business. If you have the money and can afford to pay, then you get the visa. Brazil sees giving birth as a private matter. That is why they see nothing wrong with converting a tourist visa into a permanent resident once you get to Brazil. This is a grey area where there are gaps in the law.

Under normal circumstances, the visa officer will not care if you are pregnant or not so far as your stated purpose and intentions fits the visa category. We only have problems in Nigeria because people are taking advantage of the system. In other countries, being pregnant is not even considered at the Brazilian consulates (in fact, it considered a criminal act).
Adjo10? In visa application for Brazil there is a large space provided for applicants to give full details about their trip and its mandatory to do that.

So my question to you is this..since giving birth in Brazil is not illegal why not declare the purpose of that visa application there?

U are right.
Current UK student visa requirements stipulate that you must have at least £1,015 (~US$1,435) in your bank account for each month you plan to stay in the UK anywhere outside of London.

This doesn’t include the tuition fees oo.

UK APPLICATION IS ONLY EASY FOR PEOPLE THAT HAS MONEY!!!
That is not true.

Yes if that job requires you to disclose your sexual orientation and sexual habit.

When you decided to travel to any country to give birth then its not only your private life, its also that of the embassy because they need to know why you are coming to their country.

Firstly there is not visa category for giving birth in Brazil. I have said this over and over again. With the US for example, giving birth will fall under Medical. The medical visa category for Brazil is about emergency medical issues and plastic surgery and all those stuff and doesn’t include giving birth because pregnancy has a different meaning in Latin America than the US.

So technically, the is no visa for giving birth in Brazil. You go as a tourist, student etc and if you happen to give birth, that has nothing to do with your visa.

That is why i always stated here that Brazil is not US. Giving birth in Brazil is not the same as giving birth in the US. The 2 countries have a different meaning of pregnancy.

This explains why you will categorically be denied a visa if you apply for a visa to give birth in Brazil simply because there is no visa category for you.

I have said this over and over again here. You cannot be given a visa that does not exist
In visa application form there is a space provided to give full details of your purpose of the trip and it is regarded as mandatory, so if you are going to give birth and its not illegal why not declare it in that space provided?

You continiously brag on this thread about having a UK passport which is superior to a Brazil passport and I am making you realise that most of us that went the Brazil route can also have the same UK passport that you have if we follow the process you followed some years ago today and it will cost us less money to acquire that UK passport that you keep bragging about.

You and the guy who claim to report to the Brazilian Authorities need to understand that giving birth in Brazil is not free and definitely not cheap. The money I have spent since I got here will get me and my partner through the process you followed to get your British passport.
1.Can you show me how many posts i have made here bragging about my British passport?

2. How much do you think it cost me throughout the process of getting the passport?

Thanks juswise. First of all i do not encourage anyone to lie during visa application. I also do not encourage people to give the embassy unnecessary information. Being pregnant is a personal and private matter. If you are asked about it of course you decide to tell them about it or not but do not lie. You have the right to tell them it is something you are not comfortable talking about.

Deciding not to tell about something does not mean Someone is lying. You can absolutely say the truth without exposing your private life.

If it were to be illegal to give birth, then deciding not to inform the embassy even if not asked would have made it illegal because the law said so but fortunately that is not the case.

Like i said, law is different from morality. Morality has no place in law.

Cheers
Yes Adjo10 you did and few others supported it, that was the genesis of the whole issue here, i careless when anybody decides to give birth for citizenship, my issues as i stated then and in every thread i post in ..has always focused on abuse of system.

Another issue you mentioned here which is also misrepresenting is not disclosing the purpose of your trip even when its clear that you are going to give birth. In visa application you are asked the purpose of your visa application..tourist, education, business or medical etc..

its ridiculous to say you did not lie to the embassy when you clearly did not select medical/giving birth when completing visa application form.

Yes giving birth in Brazil is not illegal so why not state clearly that you are going to give birth during visa application?

Did you still remember that you argued about this very issue a year or so ago?

Get the fact straight

The Brazilian constitution states that anyone born in Brazil is Brazilian irrespective of the parents nationality and immigration status meaning (being a tourist, student etc). The constitution also guarantees that parents of a Brazilian child cannot be expelled from Brazil no matter what.

This translates to immigration laws that grants permanent residency to parents irrespective of how they entered the country. In fact, only parents of a Brazilian child and people married to a Brazilian can convert a tourist visa to a residency permit. All other persons must go back to their country and apply for a visa that will allow them to convert to a resident permit.

Now tell me what is illegal about the whole thing? I am beginning to believe that stating that it is illegal despite all the explanations repeatedly given here may be IQ related. I’m writing to encourage those who Understand basic logic.

This is to say that, anyone can report to whom ever they want to. Polícia Federal is busy with other serious issues.Morality is subjective the Law is however not. The law is the law and a fact is a fact, period.

There is nothing illegal about giving birth in Brazil as a tourist.

Peace
A year or two ago when i had this exchange with you particularly it was purely because you encouraged people to lie about their pregnancy just to get a visa.

That is illegal and i mentioned it then that i got no problem about people traveling to anywhere in the world to give birth for passport as long as its done without circumventing the system.

I'm pretty sure you remebered that exchange

ANSWER

1. How?

2. Germany gives 18 months post-study work permit.

3. Until last three years when Germany student visa became a little bit strenuous, the requirements are far easier to meet than UK Tier4 Visa. The major requirements are: admission letter, blocked account or sponsorship letter, insurance etc. There was a person who got student visa to Germany without blocked account nor sponsorship letter but promised to do it later. This won't happen in UK embassy. The interview process at German embassy is relatively better compared with UK. The current increase in the number of students going to Germany has made the process of getting appointment date in Nigeria harder; since USA, Canada, UK and Australia have tougher visa processes than Germany.

UK Tier4 Visa is only going to be a little bit easier because of students who are looking to other countries with free education compared with UK. Theresa May's policy of LEAVE AFTER STUDY has badly affected students who had the intention of stay back. But Boris Johnson corrected it immediately he assumed office since they were loosing money gained from tuition fees and the impact of BREXIT.

UK is "money for hand back for ground". While Germany majorly required the block account after other normal requirements.
You claimed that you knew only one person who got a visa without presenting any financial evidence and you used that as an example of how German easy its to get a visa? Is that a standard?

The UK admission and visa processing is the easiest, more straightforward and quicker compare to German, USA or Canada.

You can get the UK student visa in 24hrs without interview and if you got an admission in certain universities you are exempted from submitting financial evidence.

Yes it cost more to study in the UK because you have to pay tuition fees but the admission and visa process are a lot better compare to Germany
Travel › Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by justwise(mod): 7:28am On Jun 13, 2020
Ope4Christ:
UK already lost several thousands of students' applications due to BREXIT, Government policy of LEAVE AFTER STUDY(although they have increased it to two years stay after study) and rigorous Visa process, hence, it is relatively easier to gain admission if you meet their requirements and have the money. Attention has shifted to other countries with free education and easier visa process like Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Portugal etc. This is why Germany is having the highest number of applications in Europe in the last 2 to 3 years. You should expect tougher admission and visa processes compared with the previous years.

However, you can still get to Germany if you follow the instructions and experiences of others on this platform.
This is the classic case of misinformation at its best.

If the U.K increased it to 2yrs how many years will you be given in Germany?

Did I hear you say that tier4 visa processing is rigorous ? Then German one will be a trip to hell and back.

let me give you a little estimate of the cost of giving birth in Brazil:

It is multiple times greater than the total amount it will cost Justwise to get his British passport he keeps praising on this thread if he follows the same route he followed some years ago after covid-19.

Thus, you reporting to the PF or PM or GCM will change nothing. Once the Brazil embassy sees that you're financially good to go for the process, they will grant you your visa.

Your study permit is also a TRV (i.e., your permit is what qualifies you for a TRV on your passport) unless you're referring to a visiting visa in the above quote.

I recommend you go with the study permit status. It's much easier to go from Study permit to PR.
Going as a visitor will only add an extra layer of time and processes.

I dont see how being pregnant will affect your study permit. You can always defer by several semesters even when you've already started your program. That's why some schools give you upto 4 years to complete a program of 2 years.

Also you could even have your study permit and defer until you're ready to resume. That way you know you already have the permit. Most schools allow you to defer upto 2 times before you resume.

I had a friend who was in same situation couple of years ago and she did the same thing. (Applied for study permit, got to Canada with her husband and 1 son then had her baby in Canada during her studies). She's no longer active here would have mentioned her.
