hosey: See dont waste your time and argue again.
I wont argue again too.
But I am very happy that everyone now have the opportunity to decide what they want with informed decision. I dont want to here 'had I known'
That was the basis of this. ENLIGHTENMENT.
I need to stop people giving false hope not letting them know how many people come back to Nigeria with regret and mostly unemployed.
@all. If Frapzkid had more stay period in the UK when he graduated, he would have Tier 2 visa and have many opportunities to settle in the UK. Now, he is still planning back to come and study in the UK to obtain the PSW opportunity.
Not everyone and parent is opportuned to have this. That is why I advocate for you to make informed decision.
With your 2 year PSW, I see no reason why you wont get Tier 2 visa.
Follow me, Frapzkid and akinbo3 advise. Dont take advise from those who are already settled in the UK.
They dont know how it feels and how Nigeria is bad.
Remember your parents, families and freinds. Remember the poor in Nigeria.
If you are well settled and okay, you will have the capacity to empower people back home.
Dont make same mistake. Check other international forums too. Many people deferred to benefit from PSW
I wish you all the best. They should not take advise from people who are already settled in the UK but from jjcs who are just a year old in the UK or haven't even seen the airport right? Just last year you were here asking for advice from the same people you are here bad mouthing, how can a blind man lead another blind people? I know more about what goes on in Nigeria than you can imagine as i visit almost yearly and have people i'm responsible for in Nigeria. I worked my backside off to see myself through education here and benefited from PSW when it was first launched, so unlike you i'm not talking from 2-3 person's experience. You know close to nothing. |

Youtook: Good evening everyone. Please I need help. I have an MSc in International HR from the UK and I’m interested in going for an MBA next year by God’s grace. I do not want to go for a general MBA & I’m trying my best to avoid London. So I’ve been searching for schools outside London that offer specialized MBA in Management, Strategy or Operations. I haven’t been able to come up with any. Does anyone have suggestions please? I would really appreciate. Thank you. Try University of Bradford school of management. |

birdmansoho: Nothing guarantee happiness but achieving some things makes the pursuit for happiness easier. If the issue is about the woman curbing his involvement in Nigeria and his family he has the option of divorcing after getting their permanent residence in 5years. Or what do you reckon someone who’s illegal or about to and doesn’t want to return home do if not the options I stated? You live in the UK and know how boring and isolated it can be so how easy it is to find genuine love or what other ways do you want an illegal immigrant to regularise their status here? If your paper is running out and you have no legitimate way of renewing it then book the next available flight back home, nothing like i don't want to return home i rather use an innocent woman for papers and after 5yrs i dash-out leaving her as a single mother, that is a heartless thing to do then you still wonder why many don't like Nigerians? |

akinbo3: Don't get it wrong! Jan 2020 doesn't ends in May 2021 summer Mind you, your VISA ends in May 2021, not your Program!
You are expected to end ur course between DECEMBER 2020-JANUARY 2021. the extra 4MONTH left on your Visa does means its ur course ending date. But maybe incase u av carry-over and can also work with it for 4 months.
Most Jan 2020 course ends Dec 2020 or Jan 2021. & never entitle to summer 2year permit. Don't b mislead.. Yes they should not be mislead by youCourses that start Jan have different structure, after the orientation lectures starts from Feb till April-May when the exam takes place then summer holiday which will last till Sept 2020, last semester starts Oct to Dec then Xmas break. After Xmas break exam starts Feb-March then final project starts which will last till May-June 2021. Got it now? |

birdmansoho: I guess you mean by child support. Well yeah I’ll rather have a child and get settled status than live illegally. That was the point. Having a paper does not make you rich or means happy-life, if you have families back home that you are responsible for then getting somebody pregnant or marry a white British citizen women will be a tough combination because as long as many are concern your life starts and ends in the UK . Very few..very very will allow you to be sending money home or have a meaningful investment back home. You really need to marry for love and not for paper, marry somebody who understands the cultural differences. |

birdmansoho: My visa experience was very smooth, it took just 3days for British embassy Abuja to grant my visa. I came with a family permit under the spousal visa category. Applied Monday and received a message to come collect passport Wednesday. I guess I was lucky or just had the right paperwork.
Family permit valid for 6months and I applied for extension and it took about 5months and got 5years residency. My permanent residence application 5years later took just 6weeks and naturalisation application was about a month.
I live in southeast London, Greenwich to be precise. Can’t say it’s the best borough but I love the “Nigerianess” of it. Life initially was tough but with persistence and determination I was able to pull through. I’m a pharmacist working with the NHS and future looking great. We’ve many Nigerian eatery in the Greenwich borough but I prefer Tasty Woolwich.
My advise for anyone coming to the UK is to remain focused and keep pushing. If you’re coming as a student ensure you complete your course and do all you can to establish a relationship with a Caucasian so you can cement your stay here. Except for those who intend to return to Nigeria after education or whatever visa they came with, getting married or impregnating a native should be your top priority.
Avoid driving if you’re on a low income as it’s more expensive to own a car than using public transport for people in London but outside London owning a car is compulsory coz public transport isn’t as active.
But for time I’ve a lot to say as per the other questions by the OP, may probably stop by again later. You really must be joking, that is the easiest way to mortgage your future in the UK. |

akinbo3: I once applied for One 16months MSC in Bournemouth. But after d announcement of d 2-year permits. K did d calculations and later opt for the 2-years MSC.
Bournemouth and Sheffield hallam University have lists of 2-years MSC programs with PLACEMENT year from Jan 2020-Jan 2022.
Don't risk your time and money. Target (after) summer 2021 for the work permit I.e choose a 2year course over 1year. But for 2020 September h re good to go if u choose 1year course. Hope this help someone...? That is not true, Jan2020 starters will qualify because they have longer academic year. |

hosey: Not every Jan starters will graduate in the summer of 2021 bro. There is 9 and 12 months program in case you don't know.
The end date of your CAS will decide.
See I don't have my precious time to waste with you.
I am not benefiting from anything.
But I won't allow you giving people false hope.
You were mocking those with Ireland 2 years post study visa and comapring it to UK.
Now you are changing turns. See guy. If you dont know something, admit it.
Dont let all your good works go. You are clueless obviously, Jan Msc courses ends summer 2021 which is why they are given 18months visa unlike Sept starters with 16months. Give me an example of those Jan courses that ends before summer 2021, just one. |

I have said the truth whether you like it or not.
And dont delete my comments like you always do. Let people know the truth. What truth exactly? Tobexin is right Jan starters qualify as they will be graduating in summer 2021 while you are busy punching in the dark. When you started this argument before they asked you to provide evidence to back it up but you failed to do that but keep misleading people that Jan starters will not qualify. |

Bro your wife can not adopt your own daughter that lives with you and your wife and bears your own name. So after the adoption her last name will be what? Your wife's name? If you married a single mother who has won the sole custody of the child from her previous marriage then you can adopt that child |

I have a daughter from a previous marriage who will also be applying as a dependent, is it required that i show that my daughter has been adopted by my wife? How can your wife adopt your own daughter? |

Ikenna072: OK thanks. What are the requirements applying from UK to schengen? Secondly, can I go back to Nigeria from there without going through UK? You can't apply for Schengen visa from the UK while holding visiting visa, you have to apply from Nigeria and then travel from the UK. Yes you can return to Nigeria without going through the UK..all depends on how you book your ticket else you will struggle with immigration. |

Broadenyourhori: You cannot use UK Visa to travel to Ireland. They are two different countries. Ireland is part of the Schengen States. However, you can travel to Northern Ireland which is part of the UK. You will not not need your passport/visa to travel from London - Belfast. Just jump on the train or drive if you wish.
If you already have a UK visa and want tot visit Ireland, better apply for a visa. Good chances that you will be given and you can use that visa to travel all countries within EU So when he gets to the border what happens with no form of identification? To be clear my answer is referring to northern Ireland. |

eximtrade15: Hello Guys,
Enquiry
I want to apply for UK visas for my family (spouse and kids) for the coming Christmas holiday. Please note that I will be sponsoring them, but I do not intend to go with them due to work schedule.
I have not applied for UK visa since 6 years ago, so I am afraid some of the processes and procedures may have changed since I last applied.
Please can you explain the latest requirements and steps I need to follow for the application. Also, you can point me to online resources to read up and follow.
Thanks in advance. All the info you need is in this thread, not much has changed..though application is done online now then you book an appointment with their visa centre to do biometric |
