Tobexin: mr justwise I think you are work on this bro! You don’t seems to understand this guys from their perspectives. Let me break it down.
Tier 4
BSC 4 years
Masters 2 years
I become a dependent of my wife which doing her masters for 2 years
I opt in for PhD 4 years
How many years is that? 12 years!
The uk immigration websites say as long you haves lived in UK for 10years legitimately! With this I have leaved more than 10 years in UK hence I am entitled to ILR.
Cc justwise Did you read that link i dropped? https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/843003/T4_Migrant_Guidance_October_2019.pdfThe explanation started from 295 down to page 71. This is about student visa route to ILR. If you are coming to the UK with work permit or other immigration visa then don't both reading that link. I'm sure you did not read that link |

912: The power of a mod. I'm sure you would delete it because ego won't let you admit you are wrong.
Please guys do your own research and don't be deceived. If I had seen these false comments I too would have been deceived. Cheers If i'm wrong then the UKBA info is wrong because that is exactly where i got the info from. You are afraid of the uncomfortable truth. |

912: Was it closed last month? If not then what you are saying is false. I'm so tempted to post personal info to show what you are saying is just wrong.
I will not say anything else on this because it is clear you are quite stuck on your ways. But anyone that is able to do their own search should call an immigration lawyer based in the UK and ask. I can say for a fact that what this man is saying is very incorrect If you dropped any 'immigration lawyer' contact details here i will remove it. The whole details is in that link but you failed to read but rather keep arguing on false info. Why are afraid of reading that link? Its an official link and not from any immigration website or some agent. Don't bother dropping any persona info here because no one here has the authority to verify it |

912: For one: 295 is on study time limit, and not about the issue.
I didn't want to mention any personal info but Mr, I entered the UK on a tier 4 study visa. And I have my leave to remain now so don't tell me something I know for a fact. Just admit that you wrong on this one. No man is an island of knowledge I bet you did not read that section, when the number of yrs you can stay in the UK studying is limited to 8yrs how then will you be able to stay long enough to apply for ILR? I also entered the UK on student visa and went through this very route before it was closed, so i'm not telling you about something i did not do. |

Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by justwise(mod): 10:18pm On Nov 03, 2019 |
912: What are you talking about? There is nothing like student visa route to indefinite leave to remain. Once you have stayed for 10years on any kind of visa you are eligible to apply for the ILR. That's the simple fact. That's clearly stated there. Please show us any government publication that supports your claim that the 10 years route to ILR has been closed.
Read the information and you will clearly see that it applies to any category of visa. This is something I know for a fact so don't try to twist facts You are talking about a different visa route, the type of visa you entered the UK with matters a lot. Read this link just incase you want to learn. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/843003/T4_Migrant_Guidance_October_2019.pdfStart from 295. It has a detailed explanation about this issue |

adegoks1234: Justwise, you simply don't know it all. As long as you have stayed in the UK for up 10 years continuously and it's legal, then you are eligible for ILR. She is right here with me and laughing at your ignorance Now its personal attack? Please keep your insult to yourself and argue like a decent human being. |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by justwise(mod): 10:01pm On Nov 03, 2019 |
912: Of course you are allowed to accumulate it. As long as your stay is continuous, it doesn't matter what category of visa you are under at any point in time.
https://www.gov.uk/long-residence/eligibility That link is not referring to student visa route. Try and stay on topic |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by justwise(mod): 10:00pm On Nov 03, 2019 |
adegoks1234: No, it's not closed please. A friend just got her ILR last month using the 10 years route. As long as the stay is continuous legally and you haven't spent more than 180 days outside the UK, you are eligible for permanent residence. I guess you have limited info about how your friend got his ILR. |

LagosismyHome: When did they close 10 years .... I know a couple who just got ILR this August through wife and husband rotating , although they had 2 years of tier 2 That is totally different route, 10yrs route through student visa closed sometime 2016-2017(i'm not sure about the specific year) , you can't stay in the UK on student visa longer than 8yrs no matter how you go around the system. You can't study more than 2yrs on any course below degree level and for courses .. degree and above the limit is 4-5yrs, if you decided to go for PhD then 8yrs is the limit. |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by justwise(mod): 4:43pm On Nov 03, 2019 |
912: Yes I have a friend that did the same thing, who's almost eligible for permanent residence (through the 10years route). He did his master's and right after the wife did hers and after that did her PHD. Then immediately after that he did a second masters and is planning to apply for his PHD next year.
If that works out they would have stayed for more than 10years and they would be eligible for the permanent residence. Only issue is that it takes a massive toll on their finances because they were not able to secure a high paying jobs during the period and have had to use most of their savings to pay for fees.
So just so you know it isn't very easy except if one of you is able to secure a good job while the other is studying and working part-time. This will not work, 10 yrs route is closed, you will not be allowed to accumulate those years. |

herberz: Thanks for the clarity. I also want to know if Account statement from Nigeria banks is accepted for Germany student visa as per their requirements for Financial Proof. They mainly require a blocked account with €10000 in it but will bank account from my bank be sufficient? You need to open account with German bank and fund it with required block account amount, it's more than €10000 though. |

herberz: Okay. Thanks. What advise do you have for someone who wants to work abroad but with no work visa? Don't do it because its illegal and abuse of visa. No responsible company will ever employ you on visiting visa. Companies caught employing illegal workers get find £20K per each illegal worker that is why you hardly see any responsible registered company doing it. |

I want to kindly inquire from expats in the UK if it is possible to work(any job) without work Visa.
My cousin just got a visa to the UK, a standard visit visa actually. But he was wondering if he can work during his visit with his no work visa. I know this is illegal there but does it have a chance to even get a job? like working in a McDonald's kitchen kind of job?
Thanks Not possible |

However, we will rest the complaints here and put your replies into consideration going forward, through we still have significant misgivings.

igbodefendercom: That is content curation that is done all over the internet. Nothing wrong with it.
However, let us leave of that one. Why was the thread about getting US visa in which staff of the US embassy were providing resources deleted? That one had hundreds of words. In fact, I copied everything from the source and pasted here. Cc: Seun I removed it because it started two of the same thread within 24hrs in this section and one the thread is still running but surprisingly you did not see that. igbodefendercom: Moderator Justwise , kindly tell me why the attatched thread below was hidden/removed. CC: Seun
I have noticed that any thread I post on Travel Section gets removed? The only threads that are not removed are ones that get redirected here from other sections. Why? I take extra care to make sure my threads don't break any rules and are about Travel, but still they get removed.
I once posted about a woman and baby who were burned to death in Onitsha and it was swiftly removed. But to my greatest surprise a similar thread about the same woman and her baby had not only been allowed, but had also been sent to Front Page. I checked the original section and it was Travel Section.
I can go on and on, but let me stop here. The main point is that I believe I am being picked on, and it is wrong. Very very wrong.
This is a public forum. And so any member that disobeys the rules deserves disciplinary action. But in the same vein, any member that obeys the rules doesn't deserve to have his threads removed for no reason.
I intend to keep posting on Travel Section. And if I follow the rules, I don't expect continued deletion of my threads. So, kindly tell me why the thread whoseI posted below about an hour ago was removed/hidden.
Thank you. Your thread about a woman and baby who were burned to death in Onitsha was removed because you did not add any content to it rather you dropped a link to your website for people to visit. The second one was similar issue..you wrote few lines then direct readers to your website. If you want to start a thread in this section make sure that its for discussion here and not direct people to another website. You can reference the source of your story but you have to add enough content to the story before doing that. |
