This is for those creating an ID just to come and lecture us about how to behave .

If you don't like how people answers question here go and pay an agent to help you.

I did not see any bullying here, i see people having disagreement which is normal.

Rather than wasting time creating an ID just to come and complain..use that time to engage in research about the UK student visa processes.

Nobody is paid here to answer question and get rewarded with insults.

I noticed purplenerd has left nairaland because of cyber bullying in this place. I can't see hosey and many other influential nairalanders comments in this travel section anymore.

Enough of this bullying. Moderators need to ban some monikers who are guilty and given preferential treatment. Those people were contributing so much and they have now left.

Too bad.
People who joined this thread just last year and decided to insult anybody who disagrees with them? They believed that many of us here are misleading people and that people should listen to them alone and not many us?

Are many of you here on cheap weed or just joking? Who are the people that kept this thread running for 10yrs now?

Feel free to disagree with people here and share your experience but to insult people because they disagreed with you or accuse them falsely will not be accepted here

Is it not this same forum that has been hijacked by a group of caucus? To the extent that if you don't mention them, they won't respond to your concerns. What they do is selective responses, they choose what to and what not to respond to. Read the thread and see so many questions unattended to. When people that asked such questions apply for visa and are denied, someone like you who might have gotten visa by chance will come and shout that don't/didn't read the thread. That your visa was approved doesn't make you a better person than anyone else. Congrats on your visa all the same. So many wrong things to be addressed on this thread.
Those caucus have being answering questions here for years and still some lazy mind and those who feel entitled refused to take their time to read materials already here.

Many don't ask a single question but still use material here to apply and get positive results.

Do you think that many of us are jobless to waste time here repeating the same thing for years? Yes i will select post to respond to and ignore those asking lazy questions

Bro. We are actually saying the same thing o.
As you can see, the course length is 18 months. The end date is July 2021. Such students will qualify for Post study visa.

Also, in the MSc degree I obtained from University of Manchester, the course end date was what was written in my certificate. Different courses, departments and schools therefore have different requirements.
I'm yet to see any certificate carrying course end date rather than the graduation date on it, so i rather not take that as a statement of fact but i take your word for it.

Is obvious that you love arguement. Did I say anything about an 18 months course or 16 months course. I am referring to a 12 months that start January 2020 and ends January 2021.

Please reason well. And be mature in thinking .
This is exactly why i said you should not argue based on your limited knowledge about this, even courses that ends in Jan(still haven't seen one) You don't graduate that Jan, final project class/meetings starts. getting assigned supervisors etc takes place then actual project..at the end your graduation will be summer..this is why you are given 18months visa and not 16 as the case with Sept starters.

frapzkid:
Mr man I can see why Hosey got frustrated with you. If you course date end January, the UK can not give you a valid student resident permit that last six months after your course only four months maximum and even if your graduation would be in the summer you will need to apply for visiting Visa to attend like I did . Graduation is just a ceremony , once you have passed all your modules your course have officially ended and you are no longer a student . Cos using this your explanation some people that would finish their course by Janurary 2020 can also defer their graduation ceremony till next year to enjoy the psw .

Remember one of the requirements to be eligible is that one must have a VALID TIER 4 VISA when applying . If your tier 4 is invalid you can not get it .

A tier 4 Visa ends maximum of 4 months after your study .
January till April is 4 months.
Is not yet up to summer .

I am saying people may or may not get psw if they finish January 2021. Anything can change. But speak the fact . Right now the rule is only for those who finishes summer 2021.

I am against you just being sure of what have not been confirmed by the government
That says a lot about you.

During my student days my course started Jan and i was given 18months visa, my graduation was summer the following year and my certificate stated my graduation date and not course end date.

If your course ends Jan(yet to see course that ends in Jan) then your final project starts which will last for about 3months then your graduation.

If you start your course Jan/Feb you do have more than 4months after course ends because you have 2 summers while Sept starters have one.

https://www.herts.ac.uk/courses/aerospace-engineering

You don't have to argue on limited knowledge.

My attachment will help those who are still confused

As frapzkid and hosey have said, if you definitely want PSW, start your course in September 2020.

If you must start Jan, choose a program with course end date at least June/July 2021 i.e from 18/19 months upwards. The end date is reflected in the CAS as course end date.

Wishing you the best.
Your course end date is not your graduation date. Your certificate will state your graduation date and not your course end date , that certificate and a letter from your school are what you need to apply for PSW.

You can finish your course but still not graduated.

I think so too that it's those who finish in May not Sept that will be the first batch...

The meteorological seasons official classification . The months of spring are March, April and May, while the summer months are June, July and August.

If the official statement is below , then those program ends in May when do they officially graduate?,.... I would guess those who finish in May actually graduate in July or Jun ? If yes then July is Summer. The home office statement is clear , it's not when you start that determine PSW or when your program end date but when you graduate

The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates in the summer of 2021 or after will be able to apply for the route. This includes students who have already started their courses. .
You are right...those that finished in May will graduate June or July and that is what appears in your certificate, your graduation date and not course finished date.

Many people are wondering if the Brexit Election on December 12 would have effect on the post study Visa well to answer this. THE ELECTIONS WOULD HAVE NO EFFECT ON THIS .

THE post study Visa have come to stay. The cancellation of the previous post study Visa in 2012 was a result of a single initiative from the home secretary ( Theresa May)
During her time as the prime minister , petitions and proposals were brought by different MPs over the years to restore this Visa but she waved it off due to her strict immigration orientation.

It came as no surprise when the new prime minister Boris Johnson restored the post study Visa because lot of petitions been passed by the universities and student unions alongside various MPs in different parties. In fact so fact only 2 MPs have voiced in opposition of this new arrangement, a sign that majority are in support of this.

How would the elections affect the PsW Visa?

There are 3 main parties in the Brexit election

Conservative party
Labour party
Brexit Party or UKIP

The other parties which are SNP, Green Party and Liberal Party have been proven to have no chance in winning the elections with some of the candidates offering to step down for either a conservative, labour or UKIP candidate that share the same or closest view with them on Brexit.

So the 3 main challengers are these three parties
I doubt the UKIP would have a chance to win this election because many do not like their policies on issues like the budget and all . But they may have a go at this election because they have the best Brexit plan and some candidates in this other 4 parties may step down in support of the UKIP.
Even if the UKIP should win which is 70% unlikely , the leader, Nigel Farage voiced in support of the post study Visa by Boris Johnson government.

Now to the two main contenders
Labour and Conservative

If the conservative should eventually win , the PsW would go ahead as planned , though the UK government would try to maintain a point based immigration system similar to that of Australia .

If the labour should win , well this may end up being even better for the international graduates as the Labour immigration policy is so accommodating and likely to that of Canada.
The leader Jeremy Corbyn added when asked about the PsW Visa new scheme that the Visa should be extended more than 2 years.

In conclusion whatever happens in the Brexit elections on December 12 would make it anything but better or the same for the PsW Visa.

2 . I still stand with the fact that going for a masters program this January whether 1 year or 2 year program would be risky if you want to enjoy the PsW Visa.
The scheme said the new route would begin only for those who resume September 2020 .

So let us be Frank

September is just 10 months from now.
That is not true, you are misleading people.

This is what the scheme says and I quote: The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021. Any student who successfully completes their degree-level course at a qualifying institution in the summer of 2021 or thereafter will be eligible to apply. This includes students who are already studying.

If your course is finishing Feb 2021 then you don't qualify, but if your course finishes June/July 2021 then you qualify.

1) she is not stacking her bank account to buy Gucci, she’s doing so to spend on her family. So she’s leaning on her husband and also sacrificing the good things in life to take care of her family (which I think is commendable)

2) yes she cooked her food but not her husband. Does that sound like a normal behaviour? Has it occurred to you that she’s probably reacting to something he might have said to her last night? His story is one sided.

3) appreciative attitude. Lol, how do you know she isn’t appreciative in some other way? Did you ask her? Oh right, you’re basing your assumptions of her attitude on a story from someone else.

4) i think he doesn’t care about her because he mentioned all the things that I would expect a man to cope with then his woman is pregnant. For starters, for a man that believes in 50-50, chores are meant to be 50-50 too.

5) I do pity him asking her to help and she refusing. It shows that she doesn’t care for him. Now rather than assume she is mean, ask yourself, why would a woman not care for her husband anymore that she’s seeing him drowning and has refused to help him?
Yea well done!! So how about sending that money to both families? If this marriage ends she will be responsible for all the bills.

First of, why would I know the reason that my brother is not sending me money? That is his family to which is is first responsible for, before me. So unless he tells me that it’s because of his wife (which is bad for a man to do), I wouldn’t know, I’ll just see my brother as not being buoyant enough to care for me.

Secondly, I’m not supporting what she’s doing (fully), but I’m not going to judge on that because he is accusing her of not supporting the home which I honestly doubt. She must be providing food stuff and other little things.

Finally, haven’t you heard the saying that daughters always take care of their fathers and mothers, while sons take care of their wives? It’s nothing new.

When I wasn’t working, the little money that my husband gave me, I would send half to my sibs (who didn’t need it o cos their parents are rich enough to take care of them). Did my husband complain? Right now, I earn so much more and I pamper his family die.

At the end of the day, it’s love. Their love has expired.
I bet you..you and your family will hate his wife, she will be accused of using juju to turn your brother against his own family while his wife helps her family.

You can not watch your husband struggling financially while you stalk-up your bank account with no sign of concern.

Yes she is pregnant but while in the kitchen preparing her own food for work why not consider the husband?

What is wrong with having some appreciative attitude? He is the best husband when he is paying for everything but the moment he asked her to help..suddenly he is a useless husband who doesn't care about his wife.
